the feminine urge to only find yourself beautiful in your vulnerable states. hair in a self taught braid, pieces curling out. nose rubbed raw and red from a cold. cropped thrifted graphic tee thats riding up, glasses pushed up onto your head. who will want me when i’m brushing my teeth and counting out pills? who will find me desirable if not myself?

You have survived every moment of your life, even the ones you swore you wouldn’t. This time is no different; you will last.

This is your sign that you’re going to be okay. You’re going to survive this. You’re going to find happiness soon.

In your eyes I see galaxies

Don’t promise me the world. Just promise me you.

If this week was a difficult one, remember that there is no shame is canceling plans, staying home asleep, eating good food and resting the best you can so you can face a new week.

Go easy on yourself. Everything will be alright.

There is no one like you. Care for yourself, nourish yourself, love yourself, but most importantly: believe in yourself. It may seem hard right now, but with a little effort and baby steps, you will get there.
