hey quick question btw. what the fuck is going on

one of my earliest childhood passions was makeup, including reading beauty magazines, taking my moms makeup, asking for makeup of my own. and when I got really sick I had no energy for it, and getting the tiniest bit of energy back for this thing I enjoy using for self expression has been such a fucking joy. being sick doesn’t mean you lose your health only, you can lose friends, a social life, a job, a hobby, and you feel like your time and energy was just swallowed by it and that’s one of the things some people don’t usually correlate to illness. things aren’t perfect, but trying to incorporate joy in my life in small ways helps so much, it allows one to have a distraction and built hope for the future, because illness is not all there is to life, even when it feels all-encompassing

reminder to add the smallest possible joys in your life so you don’t forget that there is more to life than your problems

not everyone is going to like you. some people will dislike. sometimes you will dislike you. these are parts of life. and that shouldn’t stop you from going about your days just trying to be your best self.
