Quick list of all the romantic things I did this spring:

• I committed to one scent for the spring which is L'ombre dans l'eau by Diptyque. It was Lauren Baccal's signature scent; it smells like a lush rose bush and blackcurrant after spring rain

• I had the most delicious rose water and raspberry tiramisu

• I watched lots of vintage movies, my favourite being Belle de Jour

• I became a regular at the French cinema nights in one of the historical hotels in my city

• I got a big bouquet of baby pink, fluffy peonies

• I cooked a lot of new recipes, mostly with asparagus and rhubarb; I made my first risotto and rhubarb compote!

• I read female authors only, mostly outside in a café or a park

• I tried some new matcha places

• I barely wore makeup, just sunscreen + brow gel

• I only wore ballet flats + very Audrey Hepburn - esque outfits (ballet flats, dress pants, shirt or sweter)

• I almost only listened to Céline Dion, Maisie Peters & Holly Humberstone

• I got a vintage edition of Fawn by Magda Szabó
