I often see people ask how to get started with doing this, because it seems like a daunting task to be in love with everything, when you are starting off in love with nothing, or very few things perhaps. But the answer isn’t grand or elaborate or secret. The answer is to pick something, and choose love.

The act of being

Baz is so used to hide himself, so it really stood out to me (among many other things) that in SFC, when Simon sits besides him, Baz grabs his leg tightly. Even if there’s some “restraint” (nobody else would be able to tell he’s doing that under the table) there’s something intense about that gesture. There’s something being unleashed – the old Baz would not allow himself to “break” and reach out to Simon, to touch him when “he should be allowed to”… Just like Baz is Simon’s rock, we see Simon has become Baz’s too – when emotional or upset, Baz leans on Simon and holds on to him.
