Being a recruitment consultant is catnip for dickheads. I speak as someone who worked for a recruitment consultancy. Some are lovely and good at their jobs, obviously, but they're up there with estate agents in terms of reliability.
the thing is she seemed very nice and genuine but she sounded super young so i just think sheβs inexperienced honestly, one of my work coaches used to be a recruiter and he said that you can progress in those companies very fast without doing much and he thinks she probably just wasnβt very experienced at the job and so didnβt really do what she was meant to when she was but yeah weβll never really know
What was the update on the job offer?
another recruitment agency apparently filled the vacancy first. which i just think the recruiter was shit and didnβt actually do her job and never sent my cv off and that was all some bullshit she told me to try and save face. especially cos she told me sheβd call me again so we could talk about it and then she never did π

Is there a particular reason you read fic but donβt read phanfic? I only ask because Iβm similar. I do read fics, but not of this real life pairing for some reason. Only fictional ones. Iβd have thought Iβd love to read stories of a real life relationship I like, but I donβt tend to have a want or need to read them. Even though Iβm sure thereβs great stories and talented writers in this phandom and Iβve read fanfic for years. Maybe because theyβre real so I can just watch and witness them be real and not need to read stories? but god knows
tbh i donβt really read fanfic normally anyway im genuinely just going through a phase lmao. like i canβt tell you the last time i read a fic before the last few days (actually i can it was the F1 phan fic but that was well over a year ago and that was the first one id read in like 2/3 years)
i used to read a lot of phan fic, like loads, but idk iβm just not particularly interested in it now theyβre like actually a couple i suppose. like i just donβt need to read about them when theyβre right there an in love in front of me for real.
and i decided to read a bunch of tenrose fics cos in doctor who their love was never the forefront of their adventures and it was never explicitly a romantic relationship (it still was one ultimately but like it was never gonna be the focus) so i just decided i was gonna read fics that dive into it a bit more really and not for the actual want or care to read fanfiction
been reading a lot of doctor who fics recently and i feel awkward every time i give kudos cos some of these fics are like 15 years old lmao like sorry to the random tenrose fic writers who all got kudos emails the last week π
