The gang is back

I’ve been a little more absent than normal, and here’s the reason why:

Both me and my mother have a pain doctor that periodically gives us spinal injections. I have an uncurable sort of scoliosis. I’m at a permanent curve of 45 degrees.

As for my mother, she has enklyozingspondalitise, a bone disease that builds calcium deposits all around the body. It’s a painful illness that has no cure, but it can be slowed down. That’s why we take these epidural shots.

First set we got was fine. Second set went horrible. My mother went into the procedure awake. Why awake? We were ten minutes late due to bad traffic, and she was neauseated from the drive. Annoyed, the anastisiologist refused to put her under and she felt the whole thing.

In addition to screaming from pain, demanding to be let go and for them to stop the procedure (they refused and told her to shut up because she was disturbing nurses and patients), she hit her head on some equipment and got a hematoma. She went backwards in recovery from her TBI from 2016. Her depression has hit new lows, so I can’t leave her alone.

So, I’ve been relentlessly trying to help her in every way. From walking her to the bathroom, to getting her showered and dressed. I’ve been around the clock taking care of her. Barely taking care of myself in process.
