For someone who treated me so terribly,

It is very very hard to get over how amazing your eyes were.

And how contagious your laugh was.

And how how warm your hands were against mine.

Who knows

Maybe one day you’ll realize you hurt me

How you left me behind as you found someone better

How you lied about your past

How poorly you treated me when all I did was love you

But the part that will hurt me the most:

Because most of the time,

People don’t even notice you’re hurting

The part that loves curling up with a book and reading for hours,

The part that listens to loud music,

The part that giggles at stupid jokes.

I need it back now.

So that everytime I do those things,

I don’t think of you....

But sometimes I mistake his glances

For a reason to keep waiting for him.
