The myth that “masculinity is always privileged over femininity” has gone so far that people literally tell trans men “no one is stopping you from being a man or masculine” to trans men/mascs like transphobia doesn’t exist.

"transmasc is regarded as the default trans gender" SHUT THE FUCK UP AT THIS POINT YOU'RE JUST ACTIVELY LYING
I'm still not over the fact that people think that trans men detransitioning is a privilege. And I don't mean detransitioning because they figured out they aren't trans, but because they need to. Because it's safer, either to participate in sports or larger society.
This isn't a privilege, this is survival. Trans women can do the same, they can detransition too. This isn't a privilege when it's someone anyone can do.
i saw the most stupid take ever
someone was talking about how it's weird that their tmasc friend is uncomfortable using the men's restroom when they pass and this is an example of "afab privilege"
like gee i wonder why he would feel uncomfortable
it's almost like transmascs have the highest assault rates
it's almost like the discrimination/misogyny one has faced from not being born a perisex man doesn't go away simply from being trans and transitioning into a man
it's almost like going into spaces that were technically built for cisgender perisex men is subjecting yourself to more situations where abuse can happen due to not being born a perisex man
it's almost like the very idea of "afab privilege" being a thing is misogynistic in itself
we've arrived at "transphobes are all actually fine with trans men". christ help us

health isn't a virtue.
people still go around acting like they've done something good in order to be able bodied and healthy. that they worked for it, that it's due to their moral fibre or good upbringing or self control. they genuinely, on some level, believe that they are a good person solely based on the strength of their physical abilities. they will resist the fact that it is largely down to chance that they were able to maintain such health. whatever they think they've built from scratch, the building blocks were already handed to them. not because they're more worthy of it, just by luck. and they really think they're worth more based on that sheer luck. i've met disabled people worth a hundred of the healthiest ableds alive.
Ignoring luck is dumb, but claiming that health is entirely based on sheer luck is an extremely corrosive worldview. There are dozens of choices you make every day, every week, every month that contribute to your overall health and functioning. It's good to be healthy and it's good to make healthy choices and you do in fact have a lot of control over whether you are able bodied.
We're discussing this in the context of disability, so yes, it is mostly luck. You have control over whether you are healthy on a day-to-day basis, whether you rest if you do get ill so you can recover quicker, but you've no control over your genes, or your many of your circumstances, or other random events that worsen your health to an extreme level. You can't avoid being disabled. You can potentially curb disability for a bit longer if you look after yourself extremely well, but old age is inevitable, and in most cases, so is disability.
As an example: my great grandmother broke her arm recently. For people her age (or even quite a bit younger; she's nearly 100), a broken bone can put enough stress on the body that it just ends up a catalyst for a bunch of other complications, and often leads to death. She is healthy enough that she was able to make a full recovery, and that's probably due to sheer luck, but the hundreds and hundreds of good decisions she made throughout her life to keep herself in good health contributed to. But the break also meant she couldn't use her arm, which meant she couldn't use her walker, so she used a wheelchair, and she had to be put into care for a few months, and that wasn't avoidable. You can make good decisions that can help you down the line, but you cannot control if you're able-bodied or not, that's very rarely a decision that's within your hands.
I hate this saccharine, cloying, infantilizing way trans men are talked down to by their own community when speaking about the words they choose to describe their experiences and oppression
‘Oh yes, you do experience a valid intersectional form of oppression - but you’re just so fucking stupid, that you’ve chosen a terrible word to articulate your experiences. So we aren’t going to listen to anything you say! You’re just so silly and stupid, you can’t possibly be trusted to articulate your own thoughts and experiences, let alone be trusted to do your own research. In fact, don’t even think or talk at all! Leave all the thinking and talking to the smart people whose suffering actually matters.
Also, no your experiences aren’t unique at all, negating the previous statement of you experiencing a valid intersectional form of oppression’
The tone of voice is no different than when people try to manipulate trans men into detransitioning - overly sweet, infantilizing and concerned while also being incredibly backhanded and demeaning
Nothing will ever be good enough. I just roll my eyes at this shit now
i really love logging onto tumblr to see the most abhorrent transandrophobia imaginable. like okay you believe in forced pregnancy for trans men. and youre admitting that
like do you realize this is already true? it's not 'shouldn't', they DON'T. trans and intersex men have to fight and claw their way into reproductive healthcare, and when they do get it, they're often horribly mistreated and/or have to mis/degender themselves for basic respect. you cannot call yourself a feminist if you believe in forced pregnancy for ANYONE at all.
Most of society only sees trans men as trans, but most of the queer community only sees trans men as men.
Trans men don't get to be both trans and men. They are one or the other depending on which one can be better used to hurt them.
Top 3 things people love insisting they don't have despite it being impossible

I reject the premise that trans women are the "main" targets of transphobia. I reject the premise that trans women are victimized more, worse, or more intentionally by transphobia than trans men. I reject the premise that trans men are only accidental or secondary targets of transphobia. I reject the premise that trans men are merely splash damage casualties in attacks against trans women. I reject the premise that trans men are only accidentally harmed by transphobia.
I should not have to post about transmasc issues with a disclaimer that "of course" trans women are hurt worse by this. I should not have to apologize for posting about transmasc issues instead of transfemme issues.
There is nothing accidental about transphobia. Every facet of it is intentional. Trans men are not bystanders in the genocide against all trans people. Trans men aren't accidental targets of trans genocide.
Trans man: I think I, and every other gender, deserve to be treated equally
Cis man: I think I deserve to be treated as a superior to all women
Transandrophobes: this is the exact same argument, wow. This is terrifying rhetoric. I can't believe trans men are talking exactly like Andrew Tate
Yeah running water is cool but uuh. You do know that if you use it to pour enough water into a container you can put your head in it and drown and DIE??? Yeah this is crazy and evil and sad. What if a kid does that. This is why I propose the idea to make it so people pay 200000$ every time they use the sink!!! This is because no child has that much money so they are physically unable to harm themselves <3 Wdym this is insane and we shouldn't be paying 200000$ just to get a glass of water. There are no ulterior motives. No it's not about taking your money. This is for child safety. Don't you want children to be safe??? You evil sicko freak. What's wrong with you for thinking this is wrong and won't work.
Every racist MAGA/GOP/KKK slippery slope prediction is worthless.
this is the funniest thing ever because every 6 weeks the trans internet circulates a photo of a 15~ year old trans boy wearing any even slightly alt fashion and mocks them relentlessly.
and then they get mad at us for not using our privilege to break down barriers of what a man should/can look like whenever they catch a guy who looks like a normie cis man

i think it's very important that people know how common undereating is, esp. for feminized people, and how the lower calorie requirements for "women" are bullshit. you don't need to have a restrictive eating disorder (a psychiatric disability in which your relationship with food + body image is dangerous to your health [sometimes deadly] and prohibits you from participating in your daily life, forming relationships, and so on) to not be eating enough.
you could go your whole life not eating enough and not die or get really sick, but just be tired and grumpy a lot, or perform worse, or have brain fog, or a million other things. like there are so many gradations between "should have a snack" and "has a severe eating disorder". maybe you don't have an eating disorder, but you should still start eating more than iced coffee for breakfast. try it sometime!
On a related note: calorie requirements are all bullshit. The alleged 2,000 calories per day? Just short of being pulled out of thin air. A bunch of people were asked to self-report (which is an unreliable scientific method) their calorie intake, and that led to a range from 1,600 to 3,000, and an average of about 2,350 calories per day. The food scientists decided that if they put 2,350 down as their number, people will over eat (why, you may ask? No fucking clue. Vibes and fatphobia, probably), and it was also believed that it wouldn't be applicable to women because their highest report was around 2,200 calories, so they rounded it down to a nice 2,000 calories per day.
So even if you are counting your calories and you think you're eating enough, you're probably not. The suggested calorie intake is marked down by almost 20% of what was reported, and those reported numbers are likely underestimates. And if you're a woman, you might also see 1,800 calories recommended for you instead, which is just fucking you over even more.
All this to say: please eat well, eat healthily, eat more where you can, just eat. Your body needs it.
