Obviously he clocks this pretty quick, and the next time she tries to hurry through a rant, or stops herself, he elbows her slightly and tells her to go on, she is surprised but does so. He sees her struggling with a sound, and wordlessly hands over his headphones. When he sees her hurting herself he makes sure to be more obvious about his own stimming so she feels more comfortable. Over time she really starts to be more herself around him, and as such, around Nancy and Steve too, who both seem to realise the positive change, although they don't quite get it the way Eddie does.
