Fandom: Killer Chat
Pairing: Ronin Beaufort x OC (Jarina DediÄ)
Summary: Ronin was sure she was fine, he was by no means worried by his girlfriendâs absence from the server and their messages. He absolutely did not need to check on her, he was just making sure she wasnât backing out, she was in too deep for that.
Warnings: Mention of menstruation, Mention of menstrual cramps, slightly suggestive language
Word count: 1557
Translation: Lutka (Bosnian word for âdollâ, used as a term of endearment)
Ronin stared at Jarinaâs server icon, inactive, like it had been five minutes ago, like it had been all day. She had been just fine two days ago, her usual sarcastic self.
He scrolled up in the messages in general, watching how they slowly fizzled out before she completely disappeared. It wasnât work, she had a few days off and theyâd even planned to go out for dinner later that day.
He had sent a DM, asking if sheâd gotten cold feet. Maybe he had sent and deleted a few following ones after that. She hadnât responded to that one either.
He wasnât worried, oh no, just curious as to where sheâd run off to. He pushed down the feeling beginning to gnaw at something deep inside him as he got up from his desk chair. He took the moon-and-bats painted purple mug with him, the remnants of his earlier tea were poured into the kitchen sink as he cleaned the mug with an unusually gentle hand.
âLetâs see where youâre hidinââ.

âContestant 89 has been eliminated. Cause of death: Contestant 66â.
An automated, robotic voice rang through the forest. You heard the slight gasp from your companion on the other side of the campfire as you wrote the announcement down. Some people had gotten a gift from the mysterious âGame Masterâ, lying neatly next to them as they woke up. Yours had been a sleek, leather-bound notebook and a pen. Whoever had put this thing together must have known your profession but you didnât know anyone who would have the funds and the insanity to do this.Â
âHey, number 66 has killed a lot of people, haven't they?â Jack asked, hugging his knees to his chest. You had found him crying by the riverside 5 days into the game, he was starving and disheveled. He probably wasnât more than a few years younger than you, but you still had this itch to help him. He had looked so hopeless, just sitting down and letting himself sob, uncaring of the dangers.
Vigilant Sweetness.

OC x V, fluff, sweet, animal shelter date
Words: 2015
Cws: spoilers for V's route and V's Valentine Bundles
âAre you ready, my love?â Valentin asked.Â
He was standing in the doorway, dressed in his dark green-ish pants, black turtleneck and black boots, this time he didnât have his jacket on. His braids were put up in a bun, no hair falling down his back or shoulder like they usually would.Â
He was looking at Edin, his partner. They were putting on their purple hoodie, fixing their hair so they wouldnât fall into their dark brown eyes.Â
âHm?â They hummed, turning their head back to look at V who was behind them.Â
Eyes lighting up when they landed on him, his oh-so-handsome face. They could look at it forever. Looking at V made them smile and hearing his voice caused their heart to skip a beat, especially when he used it to compliment them or say his sweet pet names.Â
He walked up to them, putting his hands on their shoulders. âI asked if you are ready to go, dear.âÂ
âAh!â Edin yelped. âYes! I am!â They were more excited than usual, stomping from foot to foot eagerly, like a little kid going to a theme park for the first time.Â
They had a valid reason to be so happy; they were going out on a date with Valentin! And to an animal shelter! Edin had a deep love for animals, maybe even a deeper one than V, the self proclaimed animal protector (and lover in secret.) They were gentle towards the world, but for animals they would burn the earth down if they had to.Â
Valentin smiled and turned them around so he could look at them. âIâm glad youâre sharing my passion for this Edin. If any animal catches your eye do tell me, we can arrange an adoption, it can always stay with me if your living arrangements would make it troublesome for the animal and the conditions it would need.â He said and caressed their cheek with his finger.Â
They blushed, face redder than seconds ago. âSo generous.â They huffed jokingly. âJust buy me a whole house already.âÂ
âIf you so wish.â There was no hesitation in his answer, he didnât even need to think much about it.Â
Edinâs jaw dropped, if they were a cartoon character theyâd have a giant question mark floating above their head. âWhat?!âÂ
He tilted his head to the side. âI said that I will buy you a house if you wish to have a new one, did you not hear me love? Do you need to see a doctor?âÂ
Edin pinched the bridge of their nose. âV, I love you, but I was joking. I know that youâre rich but please! I could never demand a house from you.â They whined.
âAh. That was a joke, apologies. Though, if youâd ever want me to support you financially, you need only ask.â He replied, brows furrowed in annoyance at his misunderstanding of Edinâs meaning.Â
âIt's fine and please donât spoil me so much!â They felt bad for being spoiled by him so much.Â
They left Vâs house and entered one of his cars, not only does he own at least five houses in England alone, he also owns a few cars. Really, how rich can a man be? It was sometimes still a culture shock for Edin whenever they were confronted with how wealthy Valentin is, but they never dared to ask about it, not like they suspected him of any illegal activities beyond murdering people as a vigilante.Â
âPlease come in, mx Edin.â The chauffeur opened the car door for them to enter, then V took a seat right beside them. âWe will be at the shelter in around half an hour, mister Valentin.â The elderly man informed and sat in the driverâs seat, started the engine and drove from the vigilanteâs house.Â
The ride was silent, Edin was leaning their head on Vâs shoulder and practically napping while he looked through some invitations to new charity events that hoped to earn his financial support in their organisations. It was a comfortable moment, classical music quietly playing on the radio, V doing his own thing while his lover was just close to him, close enough for him to feel their presence and warmth.Â
âLove, wake up.â He gently shook Edin in an attempt to wake them up.Â
âMmmâŚâ They only hummed and moved a little away, V had to shield his partnerâs head with his hands or they would be awakened by a headache caused by hitting the carâs door.Â
âMy love, weâre at the shelter, wake up please.â He spoke louder this time, still gently shaking them.Â
Edin opened their eyes, looking around in confusion of just waking up. âWha..?â They asked, rubbing their eyes with one hand and covering their mouth with the other when a yawn escaped them.Â
Valetinâs lips curled up at the sight in front of, wishing to keep this adorable memory engraved in his brain so he can look back at it at any given moment. âWeâve arrived, and we should get going, that is unless you still want to nap and whisper some compliments to me.âÂ
Edinâs face flushed when they heard it. They did what?! Oh lord, thatâs embarrassing! They chuckled nervously and unbuckled their seatbelt. âHaha, I donât know what you mean by that~ Letâs go or weâll be late!â They rushed him out of the car and stumbled out themselves, fixing their messed up hair so it would look slightly better.Â
Valentin walked up to the driver and gave him some instructions of when heâs supposed to pick them up and where to wait. He also gave him some money to get himself dinner if heâd feel hungry, the older man wanted to refuse but gave up when V insisted. âEnjoy yourselves!â He said before he drove away, leaving the two lovers alone.Â
Valentin returned to Edinâs side, taking a hold of their hand and intertwining their fingers. âShall we go then?â He asked. They answered him with a âmhm!â and an energetic nod followed by an excited giggle. âIâll lead us into the building then. Iâve been supporting this shelter since it was opened, actually Iâm its first benefactor and I visit them frequently. Iâm glad that we can visit the animals together.âÂ
Edin listened to his words carefully, nodding in understanding. âIâm happy to V! Iâm just excited about the idea of seeing all these animals and I hope to take one home, though if I could Iâd adopt the whole place- Donât think about it!â They turned to look at him before he could even say anything.Â
V chuckled and nodded his head. âI wouldnât dare to suggest such a thing, unless you asked me to make it happen, Iâm more than happy to find a home for these poor animals.â He answered.Â
The shelter was an adorable place, pictures of animals hanging everywhere, with their names and cute little âbiographiesâ written under the pictures. Some of them were funny, some were just cute, and there were a few that just made Edinâs heart break while reading them. They explored the shelters lobby while Valentin was signing them in for visiting and walking the animals, he also chatted with the owner and made a list of things that the shelter is in need of getting, mostly animal feed and warm blankets because the weather was still quite playful and warm temperatures could go away at any given moment, leaving the shelterâs residents exposed to the cold.Â
âAh yes this oneâs my favourite, sheâs cute, a little bit shy, but tries to be playful. Almost like you, my dear.â He said, his tone slightly teasing. Edinâs eyes widened and they turned their head away, not daring to face him with how red their face was.Â
âLetâs just goâŚâ They mumbled.Â
V chuckled, amused by their reaction, finding it endearing too. He took their hand in his and followed the shelterâs worker to guide them to the dogs, they walked past the cats, Edin was squeaking when one of the cats clung to their leg, they didnât dare to move until the cat meowed really loud demanding headpats and backrubs from them, to what they happily obliged.Â
âWhoâs a pretty kitty? You are, yes! Youâre so cute! I just want to steal you home.â They spoke in a sweet voice while patting the cat, squealing when it purred. They were so in love with the cat that they didnât want to part with it.Â
V saw the look in their eyes and immediately told the shelter worker that he would be interested in adopting the kitten if no one else claimed to adopt it beforehand.Â
âMy love, come on, we need to see the dogs. You can come back to⌠Cheese later.â He said, eyeing the picture of the ginger kitten hanging on the wall above its bed.Â
Edin pouted and gave the kitty the last gentle scratching under its chin and stood up, walking up to V with the biggest sad-puppy eyes ever. âHeâs so sweet, and⌠and just adorable.âÂ
They were talking about the kitten the whole walk to the dogs and once they reached the place, they immediately shut up, their eyes as big as the sun when they saw all the beautiful dogs playing around.Â
âOh gosh, is this heaven?âÂ
V chuckled. âIâm not sure about heaven, but maybe it could work as a paradise of sorts.â Not like he knew a lot about religion, he knew the basics and that was sufficient. âDo you want to pick the dog weâll be walking today?âÂ
Edin looked around, their eyes narrowing as their dark brown eyes glazed over the whole place, toys, blankets, dog beds, door that lead to the yard created for the dogs to walk around freely. Their eyes stopped on a husky, an older husky named Luna.Â
âHer!â They pointed at the dog.Â
V looked at the dog. âHm? Oh, that little minx? Sure, if you can handle her.â He chuckled. âSheâs known for being a troublemaker.â He explained.Â
âDonât worry, Iâve got this!â
âŚ
They did in fact not have itâŚÂ
Luna gave Edin a hard time, almost biting through their purple hoodie, scratching them because she doesnât know how strong she is, jumping on top of them to lick their face.Â
Now Edin was sitting on a chair and watching as V put a bandage on their finger. âIâm sorryâŚâ
He looked up to have a better view of their face. âWhy are you apologising for?â He asked, confused and worried.Â
They sighed, brushing a hand through their hair. âFor not listening to you about Luna.â They mumbled.Â
V laughed. It was a genuine laughter, it was cut short by him, but they could see his expression shift into one of amusement.Â
âAh, excuse my rudeness, I didnât mean to laugh, but itâs just so ⌠endearing to see you so worried about something so trivial like this my love. You had fun and I was there with you in case Luna went overboard. Itâs fine, youâre fine.â He took their hands in his and placed two kisses on them.Â
Edin relaxed, smiling softly. âI guess youâre right.âÂ
âSo, want to see Chease again?âÂ
After V mentioned the kitten Edinâs face lit up, they stood up from the chair and practically floated because of the excitement.Â
âYes, please, please, please!â They pleaded with V, their puppy eyes having a return.Â
âLetâs go then, maybe thereâs a little something there for you.â He said. It sounded like a mystery to Erin and someone made them even more excited.Â
Once they returned to the kittenâs side and could shower it with even more love; pat it, hug it, let it kiss their face and so on, one of the workers walked up to them with documents.Â
âWait, wait, wait⌠What?!â They looked at V and then at the papers again.Â
âHm? I told you that Iâll get you the animal youâd love and you love Cheese. The process may take some time, but heâs your cat now.âÂ
Haiii :D
It's a commission post but I still hope that you bunch will enjoy it :D
Love ya, N !
I love this so much!!
I already sent an ask to np00kie cause i really love their writing style but I've been enjoying your drabbles too so I figured I'd ask you as well, but any ideas for a Killer Chat! cyberpunk au? I'm not picky as to what, fic, drabble, headcannons, ect. I love all the LIs but I'm biased towards Ronin (he is the fan favorite).
Either way, hope you have a good rest of your day/night :)
Hi! I'm glad that you like the fics! Unfortunately I'm not taking requests at the moment. I might sometime down the line but not currently :))
80's Slasher Style
Fandom: Killer Chat! Pairing: Ronin Beaufort x gn!reader Summary: You already expected a summer camp counselor job to come with its fair share of problems. Those you were way too underpaid to deal with. But a murderer? Really? Warnings: Murder and implied violence, Summer Camp AU Word count: 3616
Normally having the thought âIâm not getting paid enough for thisâ while working at a summer camp came to you when you had to break up a fight or deal with a clogged toilet. Your biggest gripes with the job were mosquito bites and unruly kids. But that was your first thought when you saw your coworker Ronin dragging a real life corpse into the woods.Â
You had tried to rationalize it at first, maybe you were tired and seeing things. Maybe it was one of the dolls from your CPR training day. But no, you saw the way blood dripped from the bodyâs head, staining the ground as Ronin moved into the trees.Â
Breakfast in the dining hall was filled with its usual laughter and the occasional piece of food thrown. You stared into your watery coffee, mind racing with the memories of last night. When you first met Ronin you hadnât noticed anything off.
Sure, his whole devil spiel was interesting to say the least but he was good with the kids. You never imagined the hands that were making beaded bracelets just yesterday would be capable of murder. As much as it pained you to say now, you had even found him a little cute. An echo of your name sounded in your ear and you turned to see Misaki, who had sat down next to you while you were lost in your thoughts.Â
âAre you okay? You seem a little out of itâ, they said, popping an apple slice into their mouth. You tried your best to give a reassuring smile that likely had the opposite effect.Â
âItâs nothing Iâm justâŚworried about the hike and camping todayâ, you lied, eyes darting around looking for burgundy hair. Ronin wasnât there, was he still out in the woods getting rid of the evidence? Who had he even killed, who was missing?Â
âIâm sure itâll be fun, Iâve got tons of creepy ghost stories readyâ, Misaki said proudly.Â
âPlease donât, theyâre not going to sleep if theyâre scaredâ, Angel laughed as she passed your table. It was still a trip to have a famous model working as a camp counselor, you still hadnât asked her about why she was here.Â
âDo not eat the ladybug, I am sure it would not appreciate itâ, a voice spoke and you looked over to see V gently taking the spotted insect from a kid. You found your heartbeat steadying as you realized you could depend on one of your other coworkers. You had to tell one of them about what you saw, before Ronin realized that you had seen him.Â
The camp director approached you, his knuckles white as he gripped his clipboard.Â
âWeâre a counselor short for the hiking trip, Iâm putting Ronin on your teamâ, he said and you almost crushed the paper cup in your hand. Your pulse spiked again as you swallowed your nervousness.Â
âWasnât Mike going to come with us?â You asked tentatively. He shook his head and leaned in close to you.
âMike quit last night, he just texted me that he was going home and then left! Can you believe it?â He scoffed and you felt your heart sink, knowing where he really was, likely buried just a few hundred feet away.Â
âI really canâtâŚâ you mused as he walked away. Now you had to camp out in the forest at night with a killer, you really didnât get paid enough for this. You finished your breakfast and headed back to the activities cabins, there was half an hour before morning activities started. You wondered if you should take a page out of Mikeâs fake book and quit on the spot. Sure, you needed the money but 12 dollars an hour wasnât worth dying for, not even in this economy.Â
You wandered past the bonfire and towards the arts cabin. The only sounds were the distant screams of excited kids and the chirping of birds. That was until you heard him behind you, his voice sending a shiver down your spine. You were almost expecting a knife to your throat but Ronin stood there with his hands in his pockets.Â
âMorninâ, I canât wait for the hike later, just me, you and the wildernessâ, he laughed, his usual toothy grin had an underlying sinister tone.Â
He had seen you too.Â
âYouâre forgetting 3 other counselors and 20 kidsâ, you said, picking at one of your braided friendship bracelets. He wouldnât do anything in broad daylight, hopefully.Â
âYeah them too, I hear Misakiâs got some ghost stories, I bet you love a good scareâ, he said, leaning forward to be at eye level with you. You gritted your teeth, maybe you should just call the police and get the fuck out of there.
You werenât really sure why you didnât, whether it was cowardice or feeling that itâd somehow be futile. Roninâs expression was completely calm and casual, either he truly didnât know or he was extremely confident, annoyingly cocky even. In what you werenât sure of yet, that you wouldnât tell anyone? That he could easily get rid of you?
Your entire body was on alert the longer you spent alone with him but, to your surprise, he turned on his heel and began to walk away. Ronin shot you one last smile over his shoulder and the adrenaline coursing through your veins was accompanied by something warmer. You absolutely did not have time to question your still lingering attraction to a guy you knew was a murderer. Not when you had to be at the arts cabin for pottery lessons. Â
You donned a pair of plastic gloves and opened a pack of sandwich bread, there was a lot of food to prepare for the hike and you had decided to help the camp cook. The door to the kitchen swung open as you began spreading jelly onto the bread.
V walked into the kitchen, spotting you and giving a nod as a greeting. He was quiet most of the time, but perked up with fun facts every time there was talk about wildlife. Apparently he was quite wealthy so you wondered why he would spend his time working for peanuts at a random summer camp. But he seemed to enjoy being outside and people could have hobbies.Â
Out of the corner of your eye you saw V carrying a large hunk of wrapped raw meat out from the fridge. You did remember the cook saying that dinner for the hike would be stew with pork sirloin. V picked up a large, shining meat cleaver and got to work chopping up the meat.
The way he held the blade drew your attention. There was so much conviction behind his grip on the wooden handle. He seemingly wasnât phased by the heaviness of the knife or the sharpness, his cuts were clean, precise andâŚperfect. The meat quickly and efficiently turned from a slab into a bunch of uniform squares, not a piece wasted.Â
You recalled how V avoided any bacon, sausage or eggs at the breakfast tables and how he always had his own, different dish at dinner.Â
âYouâre really good at that, I thought you didnât eat meatâ, you said as you packed up another sandwich. V glanced at you as he put the cubed meat onto a metal tray.
âI donât eat it, though I suppose Iâm skilled at butchering without wasteâ, he said, his brows furrowing slightly at the word âbutcherâ. You couldnât get the image out of your mind, steady hands that had seemed so gentle skillfully cutting into flesh. It was just pork and he probably cooked a lot for other people, you reassured yourself. Your mind was just paranoid after finding out about Ronin, you were seeing danger everywhere.Â
You showed the boy how to braid the bright colorful string once again and leaned back in your chair. Ronin had been absent from your line of sight since that morning. Maybe he was starting to get worried that you were going to tell someone. Or maybe he was just playing with you, like a looming cat with a squeaky mouse toy. You couldnât let him sink his claws in, no matter what happened.
Angel sat in the chair opposite yours, making sparkly beads into stunning bracelets. The pieces she had already made adorned her wrists and neck, jazzing up the plain t-shirt with the campâs bear logo. You found your gaze traveling to one of her wrists, the bracelet was made up of the dainty crystal beads you had bought for the camp before the season started.
Though one bead was different, it was sort ofâŚlumpy and a slight off-white. Your eyes narrowed, what had looked like a matte freshwater pearl before now looked wrong and almost familiar. You didnât know why, but you ran the tip of your tongue over one of your canine teeth. Something jolted up your spine as Angel looked away from her work to catch you staring.Â
âIs something wrong?â She asked, tilting her head and you quickly shook yours.Â
âIâm okay, just didnât get a lot of sleep, I was zoning outâ, you said, rubbing the back of your neck. You were being so paranoid, you needed to tell someone about Ronin soon to get this weight off your chest. Angel propped a hand under her chin and smiled at you, making you feel less tense.Â
âIf you want to catch up on some sleep you can go to bed early tonight, Iâll watch your group for youâ, she offered and you sighed, there was no reason to worry about someone as sweet as Angel was.Â
Your sneakers crunched against the dry ground, it was a hot day so you would need plenty of water for the hike. Maybe you could still quit, itâd be a dick move but a lot better than potentially being murdered 80s-slasher-style. As you walked towards the counselorâs cabins you spotted a group of campers playing soccer on an empty expanse of grass. You spotted a tall, burgundy-haired figure playing with them.
Ronin laughed as a kid passed him the ball, he ran between two others trying to block him and kicked the ball into the rusty old goal. His teammates cheered and Ronin bent down to give one of them a high-five. It would have been sweet, maybe it would have even endeared you to him. But you couldnât ignore the memory flashing in your mind and the rotten taste in your mouth that accompanied it. Black eyes locked with yours, glimmering like embers with an infuriating mischief.Â
How could he find any of this funny? Ronin ran his fingers through his hair, pushing it out of his face and you could see the glistening sweat on his skin. You scoffed and turned your head away, ignoring the way your face heated up. You had to get it together now, this was serious.Â
Even though the light poured through the trees, casting beams of sunshine onto the buttercup-littered forest floor, the woods looked anything but inviting to you. You felt the pocket on the side of your cargo shorts. The knife you had brought was no sharp hunting knife, it was barely longer than your ring finger and made for whittling. But as much as you (told yourself that) hated Ronin, you didnât want to stab him so the blade was really just insurance.
Almost as if he had read your mind, the man in question walked up to stand next to you. Him, Angel, V, Misaki, you and the older kids were gathered at the treeline. It was time for the hike and time for you to toughen up. Your breath hitched when you felt Roninâs shoulder brush against yours, yup, that was definitely just anxiety.Â
Your group of 4 trailed behind you as you walked through the woods, the map to the camping ground folded out in front of you. In reality, the trail was carefully marked so getting lost would take a lot of stupidity. But you needed something to do with your hands instead of making sure that you still had your knife.Â
âNow if we do encounter a bear you shouldnât panic, how we proceed will depend on if it has cubs with it or notâ, V spoke as he walked with his group ahead of you, resting a hand on the clearly nervous kidâs shoulder. âBut usually, they do not approach larger groups, you have nothing to fearâ. His words made you glance over at Ronin, who was strolling with his hands resting behind his head.
For now, while the sun was still up and everyone was awake, you had nothing to fear.Â
The sky had faded into a warm deep yellow as the sun made its way down the horizon. The group has decided to take a short break before youâd arrive at the camping grounds. As you sipped from your water bottle, you felt a light tap on your shoulder and turned around to see Misaki standing there.Â
âItâs golden hour, prime photo-time, how about we take some pictures to remember this?â They suggested, pulling their phone out of their pocket. You agreed and offered to be the photographer, taking a few steps back on the trail to get everyone in frame. As you snapped a few photos, Misakiâs phone buzzed with a notification. Your eyes couldnât help but skim over the message that popped up from a texting app you didnât recognize.Â
âNicely done with the chainsaw, I wired some extra money to your account, hope to work with you again soonâ. Â
You chuckled to yourself at where your brain initially went. Misaki did mention having a full-time job outside of camp season. You supposed theyâŚcut up trees for a living. Just lumber, nothing but boring woodwork. You gave them back their phone and did your best to smile as you noticed the sky getting darker, soon youâd have to face the harrowing, screechy music.Â
After dinner was finished, you all sat on logs around the campfire, roasting marshmallows in the warm summer night. You watched as the sugary surface burned, cracking into coal-like fragments.
Soon it would be bedtime and everyone would bundle up in their tents, sleeping soundly to the lullaby of grasshoppers. You stared into the flicking fire, catching a glimpse of Ronin seated on the other side. He looked down with a girl at the DS she had smuggled to the hike. He looked so harmless with his colorful bracelets, camp t-shirt and amused grin.
A voice inside of you was, somehow, sure that he was. At least to everyone here but you. The genuine content look in those obsidian eyes crackled away as they traveled to rest on you. The amusement was still there, but there was a challenge to his gaze, an urge to play this game with you.Â
The minutes ticked away on your watch as a symphony of closing tent zippers rang throughout the grounds. The last withering embers from the fire fought against the breeze as you dug into the dirt with the tip of your shoe. Ronin returned from checking that everyone was going to sleep and sat down next to you on the log.Â
âThanks for keeping it light with the ghost storiesâ Angel said, smiling as Misaki shuffled the deck of cards theyâd brought out. You werenât in the mood for rummy, or any kind of game, you were utterly sick of playing. As you stood up, you announced that you were going for a walk, your gaze flickering down at Ronin. He shot you his signature devious smile and gave a cute little wave and you hid your scowl by turning the other direction.Â
You made your way through the trees, a small grassy cliff coming into view. Your hand slid into your pocket and pulled out your measly knife. After waiting, you began to wonder if he was even going to grace you with his presence. A rustle in the bushes made your heart begin to pound in your ears and you saw heavy black boots emerge from the foliage.Â
âWhat are you gonna do with that, darlinâ? Carve our initials into a tree trunk?â Ronin laughed, his toothy grin wide on his face. âBe careful, summer romance is the perfect slasher baitâ, he walked towards you. Despite almost every cell in your body screaming at you to run, you stood your ground until he had your back pressed up against the rough bark of a tree.Â
With his arms caging you in, he could probably hear the erratic thumping of your aorta. Maybe it was the sweetest of melodies to him. âSo, what are you going to do, you still havenât answered me~ thatâs a little rudeâ, he purred, eyes shimmering with delight as your brows furrowed.
What were you going to do now? Your grip on the hilt of the knife tightened, he was close but you were armed. His wine-colored locks almost tickled your cheeks as he loomed over you, his breath was warm against your lips. There was enough room to move your arms, drive the blade into him.Â
Something stopped youâŚyou didnât want to stoop to his level. No, who were you even kidding? It wasnât something cheesily noble like that. Your heartbeat was full of excitement, not the rush of terror or dread of anxiety. You had liked this game, had you always been sick in this way? Or did he see it deep within you and decided to violently claw it out. You werenât sure how this would end, if there would even be a winner but you were going to give him your best.Â
âI know what you didâ, you said, staring into his irises, teetering on the edge of falling into the void.
âWhat did I do this summer?â Ronin asked mockingly and you kind of wanted to punch him if he made another horror movie reference. Maybe you werenât completely rotten yet.Â
You simply rolled your eyes and reached your other hand out to grab the collar of his shirt, pulling him in.Â
âYou killed Mike, whyâd you do it?â You asked, curiosity starting to gnaw at you, he seemed so well-acquainted with murder. Before Ronin could speak up, he was cut off by loud steps as three figures tore through the greenery.Â
âRoninâŚâ Angel said under her breath as her, V and Misaki stared at the scene before them. The flowing, heated exhilaration of the moment froze over as you looked back at them. Angelâs sky-blue eyes were wide and you felt a pang in your heart. Those two had seemed close, her world must have begun to crumble at learning what Ronin had done.Â
A deep, exhausted sigh sounded from beside her as V shook his head inâŚannoyance.Â
âWe had an agreement, what if one of the children found his corpse?â V scoffed as your gaze flicked back to Angel, who had crossed her arms.Â
âI did kind of expect this, itâs you after allâ, she said, a light smile tugging at the corners of her lips.Â
âYou hid it, right? The kind of stuff you do can scar a kid for lifeâ, Misaki said, their tone concerned. What did they mean by the kind of stuff he did? Ronin removed his palms from the tree and held up his hands in mock surrender.
âAw come on, have some mercy, I had to completely go against my M.O!â He locked eyes with you âBurying a body is a lot less fun than twistinâ it into a pentagramâ.Â
You realized you didn't get the luxury of dealing with a regular killer but the Devilâs Butcher. âPlus, you should have heard the way he talked to his girlfriend on the phone, he had it cominââ, Ronin explained.Â
One by one, your other coworkers revealed themselves to be killers as well, making you the weird one here. The fear that was present at first had melted away, leaving only pure bewilderment. There was still something that hadnât been resolved though and that weirdly didnât make you as nervous as it should have.Â
âSo what happens now?â you glanced behind you, catching a glimpse of the rocky patch under the edge of the cliff âItâs not a huge drop but with the right angleâŚâ. Past you would probably throw you over the cliff themselves at your insane words.Â
âThat wonât be necessaryâ, V spoke and Ronin chuckled, his voice laced with a sick enjoyment.
âSpeak for yourself, keep talkinââ, he drawled, making you roll your eyes.
Maybe you were trustworthy or maybe it was sheer dumb luck, but you lived to see the bright sunrise the next morning. You knew theyâd all be keeping a close eye on you to make sure you held up your end of the deal.
Youâd make pretty friendship bracelets, go on scenic nature hikes, calm down screaming kids and sing corny campfire songs with your coworkers. Who were, for now, willing to dispose of you if you decided to rat them out.Â
As you packed up your sleeping bag you noticed that your knife was missing. Your eyes scanned over the camping ground before landing on one of the nearby trees. There it sat with the pointy tip stabbed into the wood. You walked up and saw the letters etched deep into the bark. There was no clichĂŠ arrowed heart surrounding the sharply written âRâ and your own first initial. Instead, Ronin had craved little triangle devil horns and a swirling tail around the letters.Â
This was going to be an interesting summer job.
Sacrifice My Love At the Altar
Fandom: Killer Chat! Pairing: Ronin Beaufort x gn!reader Summary: The silver band resting on your ring finger was proof. Proof that you had let yourself be burned, touched by corruption and bathed in blood. Ronin in all his eccentricity was, of course, not satisfied by a quaint courthouse wedding. Warnings: Blood and gore, Marriage Word Count: 1054
You liked to think that you had your now-husband Ronin Beaufort all figured out. Spending months learning his tragedies and bloody triumphs, his little habits and all his annoying self. But as you walked into the abandoned house, just a few miles out of town, you felt a rush of anticipation akin to the kind youâd felt on the night where you fellâŚfor him and in general.
The door to the old building opened with a creak and you looked down to see a coal-black carpet, littered with bloodied lilies leading into the darkness. Well, almost darkness, the only light came from a dusty window and several scarlet candles on the walls, lit and slowly dripping wax onto the wooden floor with quiet, slow thuds.Â
You heard him before you saw him, whistling an admittedly good rendition of âHere Comes the Brideâ. As you stepped down the walkway, trying your best to humor him and match the melodyâs tempo, you saw the copper-scented pentagrams drawn on the wall.
Bits and pieces of slimy, fresh gore nailed to their corners, draping like a macabre tapestry. If the old you could see you now, theyâd without a doubt be disgusted, physically and emotionally. You had fallen, the shining silver band engraved with the words âmeet me in purgatoryâ was proof of that. The jeweler had looked at you sideways at that request.Â
Ronin stood under an arch decorated with more lilies, as well as your own favorite flower appropriately also covered in blood. He grinned at you, the room falling completely silent save for your own footsteps.Â
âYou know weâre already married, right?â You asked as you reached him, taking his hand and pointing at his ring, adorned with the words âAlways the devil, Ronin Beaufortâ. Judging by the..pristine condition of the decor, he had set all this up just a few hours after your simple courthouse wedding that same morning.Â
âOn paper, sure, but I thought we needed to join properly in unholy matrimonyâ, Ronin said as you felt his arm snake around your waist and pull you into his embrace. âItâs not really a ceremony, letâs call it a ritualâ, he spoke into your ear and you chuckled in response. This was just truly, purely him. You supposed that was appropriate, you were sacrificing your lives in a way. You felt a bubbling happiness as you glanced at your matching bands.Â
âI married you for tax benefits so I donât really need all your theatricsâ, you said, leaning into his touch and wrapping your arms around his neck. He looked at you with those eyes dark as ripe nightshade and a hundred times as deadly. He looked at you with twisted affection oozing like viscous blood.Â
The scent of blood and the sickly-sweet beginnings of decaying flesh mixed with the remnants of the rosy sweet cologne heâd worn for your official wedding.
He had looked handsome in his deep red and black suit, but now with his blazer discarded who-knows-where, his tie loose, shirt disheveled and a manic yet flushed expression on his face he looked devastatingly beautiful. So much so that you couldnât resist pulling away, only to pull him back to you by his tie and pressing his lips to yours. When you broke apart, Ronin laughed his dark, joyful chuckle and gestured to the floor in front of the arch.
âHow about that first dance?âÂ
Ronin was a lot of things, a nuisance, a murderer, someone you loved but he was not a good dancer. What would traditionally have been a waltz ended up being the two of you, wrapped in each otherâs arms and swaying slowly from side to side. Not that any of you cared much for tradition anyway.Â
âSo, whoâs our guest? I donât remember putting a liver on the guestlistâ, you remarked, glancing at one of the visceral wall decorations. Ronin smiled, as though heâd been waiting excitedly for you to ask that question.Â
âI mean we had to have a priest somewhere, I was thinkinâ about opening him up and putting him at the altar, but I wanted that little moment to be just for usâ, he said, placing a kiss to the top of your head in a sweet gesture that starkly contrasted the crazed look in his eyes.Â
âYou went all-out, though I did promise to take you in all your sickness, so maybe I deserve itâ, you spoke softly. He was sick and heâd brought out the festering rot hidden deep inside you, pulled it out with very own lips.Â
âTill death do us partâ, he laughed as you leaned your head against his chest, listening to the steady thumping of his heart.Â
âPlease, like you wonât be waiting for me if you die first and Iâm not going to haunt you till you croakâ.
There was no escaping him, if you somehow miraculously were spared from the Nine Circles, he would personally break down Heavenâs door to bring you into the depths. You felt his arms tighten around you, holding you as close as he possibly could.
âYouâll haunt me? Run through the blood in my veins so I can hear your wicked words everytime my heart beats? Baby, Iâm so fuckinâ glad I married youâ, Ronin laughed, the sound ringing through his chest.Â
The melody played by his aorta was crudely interrupted by aâŚpained groan echoing from somewhere else within the house.Â
âAwww, that was gonna be a surpriseâ, he said with exaggerated disappointment as he pulled away, still holding your hands.Â
âI think I know already butâŚwhatâs next?â You asked, your tone frighteningly casual considering what was about to take place. You really had fallen so far, but your fall had been cushioned by a warm sea of love and gore.
He looked towards a hallway in the house and you began to notice crimson spots leading down to a lone door. There were no candles in that hall. Ronin retrieved something from a nearby table. You felt the cold metal hilt of a kitchen knife tapping against your ring and he handed the blade to you. His hands cupped yours, warm and flushed with excitement as he guided the incredibly sharp tip of the knife towards the old door.Â
âI said I wanted a bleeding wedding cake, remember?âÂ

Night Breezes Seem to Whisper "I Love You" (V x Reader)
(Valentin Viljoen aka V)
Fandom: Killer Chat! Pairings: V x gn!reader Summary: V takes you to a charity gala, you can't believe he's actually your boyfriend! You still fluster deeply at any sweet words he says to you. Why not try your best to fluster him too? (Call your dentist because this is tooth-rotting fluff) Warnings: Jealousy, NSFW at the cutoff, Minors DNI after that point! Word count: 2564
V pushed open the roomâs door and you had to stand for a second and take it all in.
The hotel suite was so big it might as well have been a luxury apartment. It was extremely spacious for two people, with a large L-shaped couch and mahogany coffee table that both looked as expensive as a monthâs rent. An intricate archway led into the bedroom, which proudly displayed a king-size canopy bed with deep green velvet curtains and enough closet space to fit the stock of a small clothing store.Â
âHoly shitâŚâ, you mused under your breath, glancing over to catch Vâs reflection in the bedroom mirror. He smiled softly, clearly very amused by your well justified reaction to your accommodations. You walked back into the living space and opened the door to what was likely the bathroom.
It had elegant cream-colored tiles and a large corner tub with what looked to be jacuzzi jets. âThis might as well be a poolâ, you said, gesturing to the pristine porcelain. V stepped closer and tentatively wrapped an arm around your waist, you leaned into the touch and enjoyed his calming scent of pine needles.
âUnfortunately, the room with the private indoor pool was already bookedâ, V stated as if he had actually planned to get you a private pool for your stay. Well, you knew him well enough to know that he definitely had. You leaned your head against his shoulder and laughed, not quite used to just how wealthy your boyfriend was. âThe charity made the reservation for a standard room, though I thought that you would find the suite much more comfortableâ, V admitted, looking down at you with fondness brimming from his forest-green eyes.Â
You could actually explode right then and there, your heart feeling like an ember in your chest at his expression. V was too good at flustering you, even if he didnât mean to make you short-circuit. You reached up and placed a hand on his cheek, moving to stand in front of him. He couldnât be the only smooth one in the relationship, you made a living off of being good with words after all.Â
âI love it, though I wouldnât mind being in a smaller room if it meant I could be as close to you as possibleâ, you said, running your thumb affectionately over his cheek. Vâs skin heated up and you could see his face adopt a deep, berry-red flush. You mentally high-fived yourself at your victory. V placed his hand over yours, his fingertips caressing your knuckles in a way that made a slight shiver travel up your spine.Â
âBelieve me, my love, I have absolutely no intention of being away from you during our time here, I hope to be the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you see before you go to sleep at nightâ, he said, his other hand moving to rest on your waist again.Â
You were pretty sure you could have died from overheating like an overwhelmed laptop.
You watched from the sofa as V finished getting ready by tying his locs into a ponytail, letting them drape across his shoulder and looking into the mirror on the wall. He adjusted the lapels on his dark green blazer that he wore over a sleek black turtleneck with his silver snake pendant.
He turned to look at you, his smile content as he offered his hand to you. Luck must have really been on your side for a man this gorgeous to have fallen for you. You took his hand and stood up.Â
When V had informed you of the charity galaâs formal dress code you had admittedly stressed a little. You had searched your closet until it looked like a tornado had violently ripped through your room. Luckily, you managed to find a loose-fitting two piece suit in a color that you liked. Vâs gaze lingered on you and you watched that same tenderness fill his eyes as he took in the sight of you.Â
âYou look wonderful, Iâm beginning to wish that I could take you somewhere more private tonightâ , V spoke, though he glanced down bashfully at that last confession. âForgive me, of course your beauty must be shared with the world, Iâm being selfishâ, he said quietly, as though he was ashamed. You smiled and pulled him closer by his hand, pressed against his chest you tilted your head upwards to speak directly into his ear.Â
âNo matter how grand a hall the gala is being held in, Iâll only be looking at you tonight, thereâs no reason to look at a crystal chandelierâŚwhen I can stare into two moonlit treetopsâ, you said, a lot less smooth than you had practiced it in the shower.Â
You were successful though and Vâs reaction was more than you could have ever asked for. His dark skin was flushed that deep red and you could even see it begin to creep up his neck. He momentarily took his hand out of yours to pull at the collar of his turtleneck.Â
âMy love, I never expected you to be the death of me, but itâs such sweet tortureâ.Â
You held onto Vâs arm as you both entered the gala, though the hotel was grand, the party itself was more subdued. It was nothing like the overly opulent charity balls in movies, elegant decorations were swapped out for banners displaying the animal conservation efforts of the organization. Even with that fact, everyone around you seemed so incredibly refined, with sparkling jewelry and obvious designer clothing.
You picked at a button on the suit youâd gotten on sale. V led you to a round table dressed with a white tablecloth and flowers, he pulled out the chair for you and sat down beside you. The other seated guests greeted him enthusiastically, he was one of the biggest supporters of charity not to mention renowned for his generosity.
The words he said were polite, yet he kept them as brief as possible. No matter what, his gaze would always find its way back to you, his eyes filled with warmth and longing, as though you were the only two people at this immense party. His hand searched for yours under the table and your fingers intertwined, digits fitting together perfectly like they were made to hold each other. Every time he reassuringly ran his thumb over yours your stress and worries would melt away, moving to heat up your heart instead.Â
Despite his best efforts, V could only talk to you about the charity and his work with it for so long before he was interrupted by people who wanted a lengthier conversation. He shot you an apologetic look. You smiled at him and told him that you were to get the two of you a drink from the bar.
You walked across the floor to the polished wooden bar, standing next to an occupied barstool.Â
âTwo champagne cocktails pleaseâ, you said to the bartender as you leaned against the counter. The person on the stool next to you turned, it was a man in a tailored suit sipping a whiskey. He smiled at you and you didnât miss the way his eyes slowly traveled from your hair to your feet and back up. You cringed internally and turned your head and hoped that he wouldnât start talking to you.Â
âLet me get that for youâ, he said, pulling out his wallet and very deliberately flashing his shining silver credit card. How your luck had turned around.Â
âI think itâs an open bar, thereâs no needâ, you said, mustering up a polite smile. Shouldnât he have known that already since he had a drink. He tapped his finger against his glass, his gaudy diamond ring clinked against it.Â
âOh right, I keep forgetting they can afford thatâ, he said, getting up from his seat to stand next to you. You had to fight back the urge to scoff at his words. âThough their whiskey selection is seriously lacking, at my companyâs party here we had-â he was cut off by the bartender placing down your drinks. You grabbed the champagne flutes and turned on your heel, preparing to leave to save your ears from this guyâs droningâŚreally bad flirting?Â
âThis is a charity, a majority of their funds go to actually doing some good in the worldâ, you let yourself sneer and you took a step.Â
You didnât make it far before you felt a tug at the hem of your blazer, having to steady your hands to keep the drinks from spilling.Â
âIâm sorry, we got off on the wrong foot, would you stay and talk?â, he said, it was phrased like a question, but his strained smile revealed that to him there wasnât a choice. You were about to make a beeline for your table before you heard footsteps at your side and felt a familiar, gentle and comforting arm around your waist.
âLove, my apologies for making you waitâ, V said gently, taking one of the drinks from you and pulling you closer to him âwould you accept the rest of my night as an apology?â. You were about to say something about getting the ârest of his lifeâ, before you noticed the way he glared at the man in front of you.
The look in those eyes you loved had turned cold, like the trees of the forest freezing over in winter. âIf you would have us excused, my partner and I must get going nowâ. He didnât let you or himself spare the man another look as he walked you back towards the table. You glanced up at him and, as soon as his eyes met yours, his gaze softened and you smiled. Your chest bloomed with joy as the two of you sat next to each other.Â
âThat guy sure was persistent but you were really cool back thereâ, you said, sipping your drink and leaning your head against his shoulder. V wrapped an arm around your shoulders, somehow the two of you got even closer.
âNo one will bother you like that again, that I can assure youâ, he said and you laughed before turning your head and placing a butterfly kiss on his cheek, making him exhale with a chuckle.Â
For the rest of the night the two of you sat so close that you could have sat on his lap if you moved a bit. The thought of that made your face heat up. On occasion, you would see that same icy look flash in Vâs gaze as he stared at something behind you. He held your hand and raised it to his lips, pressing a tender kiss over your knuckles. You calmed yourself, not wanting to cause a scene by your heart combusting.Â
âBringing out the prince charming moves? I need to catch upâ, you said teasingly, tilting your head up to lightly press your lips to his jaw, enjoying the color that blossomed on his face. That deep red was quickly becoming one of your favorite hues.
V glanced around, no one seemed to want to approach him. He likely had greeted most of the guests by now. V turned to you, his hand squeezing yours as he smiled, not an ounce of fatigue in his expression. Your boyfriend leaned in, his voice like lavender honey and his words even sweeter as he whispered to you:Â
âShall we return to our room early?â

Stress relief (Part 3)
(Hoshina Soshiro)
Pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x gn!Reader (they/them pronouns) Pt1 Pt2 Pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x gn!Reader (they/them pronouns) Summary: Your feelings for Hoshina are becoming harder to ignore, you even find yourself jealous for a man you're not even dating. How dumb is that? There's no way he could feel the same. Warnings: NSFW, 18+ ONLY, afab reader, handjob, oral (m receiving), swallowing, p in v sex, marking, biting, slight dom reader, jealousy, Word count: 4489
You put your coffee mug down and sat on the couch. Hoshina sat beside you, it was one of his rare days off and he chose to spend the afternoon with you. The thought made warmth bloom in your chest.Â
âWho do you think the killer is?â You asked him, pointing to the novel next to his own cup of coffee. Hoshina hummed in an exaggerated manner and put a hand under his chin. You laughed as you leaned back.Â
âI think the sheriff did it, heâs always nervous when they talk about the murderâ, he said and you sighed in defeat. Itâd taken you most of the book to figure that out before the reveal.Â
âNote to self: donât recommend Soshiro any more mystery booksâ, you chuckled, suddenly realizing the other officers in the break room were shooting you glances. The man was like a detective, had it really been that weird to say?
Oh, you had called him by his first name.Â
Stress relief (Part 2)
(Hoshina Soshiro)
Pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x gn!Reader (they/them pronouns) Pt1 Pt3 Summary: You and Hoshina had an agreement, you'd take the relief you wanted from each other with no strings attached. You're fine with this arrangement...you're fine with it, right? Warnings: NSFW, 18+ ONLY, afab reader, fingering, oral, p in v sex, biting, scratching, mentions of blood, jealousy, slight angst, friends with benefits(?) Word count: 2806
This was another form of stress relief, a way to blow off steam when sparring and training wasnât cutting it. Like a textbook âfriends with benefitsâ situation. Youâd sneak into Hoshinaâs room after dark, have your fill and go about the next day. But things didnât turn out like they were supposed to, that seemed to be a trend with you and him. After the first night you had tried to leave the room and go back to your own. Only you were nearly spotted by Kafka when passing by the library. Hoshina sat on the bed while you stood by the door, unsure of what to say next.Â
âWhy donât you sleep here?â Hoshina asked, patting the other side of the bed. âCompared to what we just did, sharin' a bed is nothingâ. Hoshina reached out and pulled you closer by your hips, making you chuckle. He was right, youâd already slept together so there wasnât any harm in literally sleeping next to each other.Â
Stress relief
(Hoshina Soshiro)
Pairing: Hoshina Soshiro x gn!Reader (they/them pronouns) Pt2 Pt3 Summary: You and your platoon were sent to Japan's third division base. You get along well with the vice captain, though sparring with him brings way more stress than it relieves. Warnings: Suggestive language and situations, Kissing, 18+ only My first language isn't english, so mistakes may occur. Word count: 1959
Youâd heard stories of Japanâs Defense Force back at home and seeing it in person sure didnât disappoint. Sixteen whole divisions spread over the country. The Tachikawa base, belonging to the Third Division, was a sight to see. A massive structure full of high-tech weapons and skilled officers. Youâd been ordered to help out at the base as a show of goodwill. You and your platoon felt a bit out of place at first, coming from a country with less kaiju attacks and a smaller force. But you and your team were willing to help out in any way you could during missions.
You leaned against the balcony, listening to the happy chatter inside the building. It was good that both teams seemed to be getting along, no doubt helped by the casual âwelcome partyâ youâd been greeted with. You fiddled with your half-empty can of beer, as you let out a breath, maybe you shouldnât be so nervous about this.Â
I canât draw for my life but I imagine the real Stacy Fakename is like a woman completely in black and white, with a long coat, hat and sunglasses. She canât take the glasses off though, theyâre basically her eyes.
And sheâs probably very confused as to why people say sheâs been places sheâs never been.
This idea made me so happy! So I drew her.
Stacy Fakename⌠the embodiment of mystery. But the biggest mystery, is how she always seems to be in three places as once.
Omg so cool!

I could be wrong about this, but going from red solo cups with their names written on them to personalized mugs could very likely be showing how much better IMP is doing business wise. I'd love to see if Blitzo and Loona have their own mugs too!
That or Millie and Moxxie just got cute matching mugs, good for them.
