Euini is terrified of being himself. He wants nothing more than to hide and be anyone else. So his bangs are longer and completely hide him.

Richeh is confident in who she is. She wants nothing more than to be herself, no matter what. So her bangs are short and allow her to face the world.

She can now track him using her Lloy metal sense thingy.

She can track him like she tracked Alogar.

He came from nothing, he studied his ass off, worked any job he could take, and magic was the one thing he had to his name.

And through no real fault of his own, he doesn’t get to see it through, to reap the benefits. And it’s not fair.

Sure, a diploma is just parchment. Sure, growing into adulthood is an entirely different thing from simply graduating. But there’s also something real about holding the proof of your labors.

Demodus deserved to graduate. To finish his thesis. To be himself. And that got robbed from him.

The stars, the voices, Simon’s arm, Simon himself.

His fate was set the moment he entered the blood ocean, it doesn’t matter that we saw him.

Getting to see everything closer is a BLESSING!

But it’s even harder to watch because Azune is so similar to one of my own D&D characters.

Her name was Nanu, and she was also a child soldier, who lost everything to unfortunate circumstances, who believed she was only good as a warrior, as a follower of orders. Who struggled with the knowledge she could never be the child she once was. Who was searching for her own death, who grieved so heavily, and clung to memories cause it was all she had. Who lost her brother, found him again, and then he died in her arms.

Her ending was death, twice over. I just pray Azune gets to live.

Cause when I tell you the arguments and tears and screaming that have happened in my past campaigns… like full blown cursing in character…

And then the session ends and we all start laughing and praising each other’s acting chops.
