The World Is Celebrating Eid. My Family Is Melting Inside a Tent in Gaza
Vetted by:
1. @el-shab-hussein and @nabulsi # 151 on the spreadsheet of Vetted Gaza Fundraisers List]
2. @riding-with-the-wild-hunt Here .
Dear friends of Palestine, friends of Gaza and friends of my family in Gaza!
FINALLY!!! We are at 99% of our goal in our campaign to evacuate the living hell of Gaza and rebuild our life in Ireland!
While people post Eid outfits, food, and family photos, my family in Gaza is trying to survive another day of bombs, hunger, fear, and unbearable heat.
There is NO safe place left in Gaza.
The bombardment continues every single day.
The explosions never stop.
And now summer has turned the tents they live in into literal ovens.
Imagine trying to sleep inside plastic and fabric under a burning sky while drones and airstrikes continue around you.
This is NOT a temporary hardship.
My family has lived through this nightmare for more than two years.
Two years of displacement.
Two years of terror.
Two years of watching their lives collapse piece by piece.
I am in Ireland, studying and trying to build a future, while every day I fear getting the phone call that my family did not survive the night.
We have already come such a long way thanks to the incredible support from friends of Gaza and Palestine around the world. Truly, we would never have made it this far without you.
And now we are VERY close to reaching our final goal.
Our only goal is to evacuate my entire family from Gaza to Egypt temporarily, and then reunite safely together in Ireland.
Please do NOT abandon Gaza and my family because the headlines got quieter.
Please don’t stop caring because the world moved on.

Help me get my family out alive before it’s too late.
People say: "Family always comes First," and to that, I say: "Amen!".… Mahmoud Khalaf needs your support for Death chases my family in Gaza;

Been genuinely having a hard time with dysphoria recently. Especially, like, social dysphoria.
rambling under the cut so i don't bother anyone. i just want to get my feelings out.
Since I was 14, I was pretty clear with everyone around me that my pronouns changed to they/them. Still she/her-ing me to this day. I've given them all time, delicately talked with them about it, yet nothing has changed. It's been over 10 years.
I've gone through many identities over the years of coming out, yes, but I still remained non-binary in some sort of way.
Though, to everyone around me, other than my partner, I know they will always see me as a woman. No matter what. It's infuriating, but tiring at the same time.
Honestly I'm either going to just kms or just stop identifying as non-binary/trans because why even bother? Is it because I'm femme? Sure, I wear makeup, but that's about it. I stopped binding because it started hurting me. (Then again I'd bind for like 12 hours a day, sometimes even longer.)
It's not like I have the money to physically transition either, which I'd just get top surgery and be done with it.
It just...it hurts. A lot. I just wish those I know irl would see me as I am. I'm very grateful for my partner and those I know on here for seeing me as I am.
People demand fans of colour to be soft & gentle & have articulate thought out criticisms at all times. Never be wrong never be loud never be mean you have to coddle White fans and creatives, otherwise you're part of the problem. Never mind that your whole experience in fandom has been one macroaggression after another. Never mind that fandom can never be your escapism, because the discrimination you face in real life is often present in both the media you love and the fandom you participate in. Never mind that even when you are soft & gentle & articulate people will still get angry. Just shut up and let White people go to their beautiful fantasy world where people like you don't exist
Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.
Praying for a safe journey back to the spirit world, Uncle ❤️🩹🦅
Today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Joss (King of the Hill, Parks and Rec). Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who died protecting his transgender husband, on the first day of Pride month. Today we remember him and how he protected his family.

Terfs genuinely seem to believe women are physically inferior to men so it isn’t surprising to me that some take that self-loathing to other levels.
Women are actually capable of doing anything they set their minds to, intellectual or physical, everything is a skill that can be learned. Men create myths of women’s inferiority including physical to justify their secondary status, “they need someone strong to protect (read: privately abuse) them.”
They’ve convinced women we cannot learn the skill of muscle building and fighting so not only that we don’t physically compete with them and potentially win but also to subjugate us. They don’t want you fighting back, in the private sphere or in the public sphere of politics. Women have been the leaders of guerrilla movements the world over - China, Vietnam, El Salvador, Palestine, the Philippines (ongoing). Would you say they were weaker than their male counterparts? Obviously not, because those male opponents died trying to fight them. Look at Lyudmila Pavlichenko.
Women should actually be demanding participation in physical training spaces and widespread knowledge of self-defense skills including firearms training. We need to create collective parity with men and their monopoly on violence is in our disfavor.
Who else has a monopoly on violence? The capitalists and the imperialists. Patriarchy is a division created by class society and endless expansion by empire leaves behind so many particular issues for women. Sudden loss of health services and martyrdom of family members being just one of them.
These are issues that women should be collectively focusing on and drawing connections to but it seems some are willing to concede the ground of women not being lesser than men physically or intellectually just to affirm other bigotries.
Meanwhile I’m arguing for women to become united on a class basis to become armed to resist violence collectively. Who do you think has the better view on women’s liberation? Hmm it’s a hard choice, I’m going with the blackpilled nihilism #imjustagirl Lana del Ray dark academia posting with a side of gender phrenology. That seems like it’ll free women.
I was originally planning on holding off sharing this until June, but then decided to hell with that; why wait?
FURTHER RESOURCES:
Intersections: Indigenous and 2SLGBTQQIA+ Identities – this booklet from the Native Women’s Association of Canada is more intended towards 2S folks, but is still a great read for anyone.
Two Spirits, One Voice – This video from Egale is a great, no more comments needed.
A Two-Spirit Journey: The Autobiography of a Lesbian Ojibwa-Cree Elder – This book by Ma-Nee Chacaby can be a difficult and emotional read, but very much worth it.
Becoming Two-spirit: Gay Identity and Social Acceptance in Indian Country – I have yet to read this book by Brian Joseph Gilley myself, but heard positive things about it.
Please feel free to reblog with more suggestions, if you have them!
