Adobe is going to spy on your projects. This is insane.
For general graphics: use GIMP For vector graphics: use Inkscape For drawing and illustration: use Krita For print and web publishing and design: use Penpot For PDF authoring: use LibreOffice For PDF reading and form filling: use Okular
All are free, open source and cross-platform. None use AI.
Reblog for everyone
friends don't let friends use GIMP. use photopea
Gonna pop my favorite reference for Adobe alternatives here, lovingly compiled and updated by xDanielArt since at least 2020:
For an alternative to Adobe Illustrator, the maker of Photopea has now released Vectorpea!

Reminder: this happened LAST YEAR. Believe me, I too woulda thought this was a recent change but no.
Companies have wanted to do this sorta ‘moderation’ for ages.

From a state hearing in Texas
happy glorious 25th of may
My first Discworld book was the Wee Free Men. I loved it, and read it over and over again. But since that was the only one my local library had, for the longest time I thought it was a standalone. Imagine my delight when, years later, I discovered the rest of this fantastic series.
The City Watch books in particular struck a note with me, and they’ve quickly become some of my all time favorites. So of course I had to draw this to celebrate.
you’ve got a lil’ somethin’ right there

Look, I may not be an explorer or an adventurer or a treasure seeker or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell.
The Mummy (1999) dir. Stephen Sommers
THE FUCK YOU MEAN NOBODY KNOWS?
Does everyone in the Necropolis just not question shit?
First it's the crypt baby. 'Oh yeah, it's out crypt baby. Where did he come from? Uhh, we're not really sure'.
And now it's 'Oh, this is my colleague Vorgoth. Why are they a cloud of smoke in a cape? We honestly don't know'.
I personally believe that there are just tons of really strange, sometimes super fucked up, unexplained phenomena going on in the Necropolis all the time that everyone's just kinda stopped sweating the small stuff like random crypt babies and not knowing what the hell your colleague is.
It can range from stuff like George From Accounting who died at his desk like 300 years ago and just kept working and no one wants to interrupt him to tell him he's undead because no one can balance the books like he can to wandering into an area in the Necropolis and coming back out 40 years later to people randomly vanishing for a few minutes and then popping back in like nothing happened or gravity suddenly breaking and everything starts falling upwards. Real feywild and creepy warp phenomena stuff going on there that the Watchers all have insane tolerance for what's considered weird

[Edit: When I learned that the Grand Necropolis has a habit of rearranging itself, I thought, “Oh, like the Library from The Librarian movies starring Noah Wyle and the accompanying TV series, The Librarians.”]
On April 13, 1985, Danuta Danielsson - a Jewish-Polish woman whose mother was taken to a concentration camp in WWII - hit a local neonazi with her handbag in Växjö, Sweden.
Update: The neonazis were subsequently expelled from the city, and a statue was erected in her honor.
This week 34 years ago, Danuta Danielsson demonstrated how much respect fascists deserve.
Well played, Danuta Danielsson.
And good aim.
She hit them so hard they were banished from that land forever. Iconic

I don’t think the statue presents even half of the rage you can see in her face. This woman was ready to murder this asshole in cold blood and good for her.
we got another good news roundup!
