No, mythology Apollo LOVED his children, no he isn’t someone that only cares about sex. He isn’t a father that would actively allow his children to die or not care about them.

He would’ve remembered every single one of their names, he would’ve loved them, he would’ve even taken care of the other children.

Apollo was literally set up for failure. I love Rick but I’ll never forgive him for ruining Apollos potential. Apollo in mythology was a FATHER. And he still is. He loves and protects them and nurtures them. He doesn’t allow them to just die like nothing or forget their names.

In medieval europe, a castellan was a man who took control of a local peasant population and built an originally wooden castle mostly in the style of a Motte and Bailey Castle. Mostly known for being spots of oppression and predation.

Castellan means a castle owner, and they would grav land from peasants, give them back the land as feifs, and the peasants would become vassals and f given enough control and power the castellan would become a lord.

What's interesting is the two main schools of thought as to why peasants agree to this?

1. The castellan offers services and protection as well as Banal Authority [ie. The castellan can act as a judge and be presented cases]

2. Fear and violence by the 'predatory castellans'

Whichever school of thought is more true what happened after this initial power is taken? They want more so the castellan will set up a system where loyalty is key and all who work under him (upper ranks) live with him and headquarter there.

The way to gain more power after this for castellans is to become a vassal to an established aristocrat or more powerful castellan
