a lot of people say “think critically :)” and mean ‘you must end up hating this (and perform your disgust and shame to the public)’ when ideally it should mean ‘there's a lot here to unpack and discover, and you might come away with different thoughts than you started with, so it'd be a valuable process’ but they don't actually want you to think. they just want you to hate it and feel bad.

hating a thing isn't synonymous with having thought critically about it. sometimes you think about stuff and come away loving it more. if that never happens to you then idk what to tell you but you certainly aren't qualified to preach at others

I don’t get what the confusion is over bi lesbian is. If we can acknowledge that the split-attraction model of sexual and romantic attraction being separate is valid, and we acknowledge that ace lesbians can exist because of it, why can’t lesbian be used in conjunction with other sexual or romantic orientations in this model?

theres no ‘confusion’ here, its actually very simple to recognize and understand ‘bi lesbian’ as a rehash of the same lesbophobic concept that keeps getting served up under new names. the reason why ‘ace lesbian’ and ‘bi lesbian’ are not equivalent concepts is similarly very simple to understand. “ace” (no sexual attraction) and “lesbian” (attracted Exclusively to women/women aligned people) are not contradictory. you can be exclusively attracted to women in a nonsexual way. “bi” (attracted to multiple/all genders) and “lesbian” (attracted Exclusively to women/women aligned people) are contradictory. you cant be attracted to all genders And exclusively attracted to women. attempting to split “lesbian” in half to make room for attraction to men in the definition is always lesbophobic, and frequently also biphobic and transmisogynist.
