It's funny how every evidence-based study finds this exact same result. Where is the flood of detransitioners we were promised years ago? Where are the whistleblowers of doctors "forcing" teens to transition? That's right, they don't exist.
Only 4% of people who went back to living in their sex assigned at birth for a while cited that their reason was because they realized that gender transition was not for them. When considering all respondents who had transitioned, this number equates to only 0.36%.”
Nearly all respondents who were receiving gender-affirming hormone therapy (98%) or who had received gender-affirming surgery (97%) reported increased life satisfaction.
I doubt there's a single other type of medical treatment with numbers like this.
I'm dealing with migraine meds right now and even the fancy new preventatives have a 50% chance of working for you at all.
We really don't talk enough how miraculous HRT is. Nobody does it like her.
does anyone have that quote that goes something like 'white germans under the nazis lived just fine as long as they were loyal to the state, gave their children to the army, and paid their taxes, and in this sense many americans would be comfortable living under fascism' trying to find who said it but google is giving me jack shit
"The concentration camp was never the normal condition for the average gentile German. Unless one were Jewish, or poor and unemployed, or of active leftist persuasion or otherwise openly anti-Nazi, Germany from 1933 until well into the war was not a nightmarish place. All the “good Germans” had to do was obey the law, pay their taxes, give their sons to the army, avoid any sign of political heterodoxy, and look the other way when unions were busted and troublesome people disappeared. Since many “middle Americans” already obey the law, pay their taxes, give their sons to the army, are themselves distrustful of political heterodoxy, and applaud when unions are broken and troublesome people are disposed of, they probably could live without too much personal torment in a fascist state — some of them certainly seem eager to do so. "
- Michael Parenti, Fascism in a Pinstriped Suit

I have to add that gender euphoria for cis people doesn't always come from like, conforming to your gender in a "stereotypical" way
I've always been very comfortable with my gender but I didn't Really Like being a woman until I cut my hair short and started dressing/presenting more "masculine."
When i realized that I could look "manly" as a woman I truly felt comfortable and really...more "like" a woman. I enjoy being masculine and it strengthens my connection to womanhood and it's just kinda cool
wonky self-portrait for tdov this year. stay alive i love you 💉✨🐛
The only truly effective way to avoid internalizing conspiracy theories and pseudoscience is to inoculate yourself against them by learning how to recognize them when you see them, which includes learning their history, their tropes, and their overall characteristics. It also includes learning information literacy and strengthening your critical thinking skills. Trying to avoid encountering them at all does nothing to inoculate you, which leaves you vulnerable to internalizing them from an unexpected source. You cannot give in to lazy/reactionary thinking on this one.
(In case you need it: here are resources.)
I want to emphasize here that you absolutely cannot trust your progressive friends to never fall prey to some kind of BS and pass it on to you. Conspiracy theories and pseudoscience are like viruses; they evolve and adapt to propagate in whatever environment they're in. Antisemitism often masquerades as feminism. Christofascism often masquerades as saving abused children. Anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism often masquerades as sticking it to the white academics. No matter how progressive you think your friends are, you cannot trust them to do your thinking for you.

“Obesity is defined as a height/weight formula. Height and weight are bodily characteristics. By saying an obese person is diseased, you’re saying all people with a certain height/weight ratio are diseased. That’s like noting how light skin and light eyes correlates to melanoma, and saying all people with light enough eyes and skin are diseased, regardless of whether they have (or ever develop) melanoma.”
