❆ Trauma isn't a new thing to Heath. Perhaps a new word to his vocabulary, but he has his own baggage. As does every sinner that mingles on the bus. He won't just openly share that however. Most people won't at first. I imagine similar stands for you. People are there for a contract. Not therapy sessions.

❆ I suspect like most others you'll be relatively closed off about whatever your past is. Sometimes dropping information when really relevant but not enough to grasp the full picture as the sinners run their turns through cantos. Heathcliff can tell you're pained like them. He isn't really going to really bug or pry about it however.

❆ Now once he starts to develop and obsession, he's more interested in it. It changes over the course of the obsession.

❆ At the start, he still dances around it, like he does his. Making brief comments back to you when you give vague hints about yours. Just as he does his. He's a bit more willing to share his with you. Yet it's still a tense slow drip of information.

❆ When others try to uproot what is clearly a sore topic for you he gets snappy. Hey! It ain't none of their business. You said you don't wanna talk about it. Are they looking for a fight? He'll get 'em for you. If your trauma causes more visible reactions like shutdowns, flinching, or outbursts of any kind, he gets worse. Quickly bashing them over the head to get them quiet. He stands guard by you as close as you let.

❆ He quicker to notice when others behavior are upsetting you.. yet he's a bit slow to realize when he's doing it. Once he catches on or is told, he'll stammer apologies, but it's fine. You two are Buddies right? He just made a small mistake. The others deserve to get threats for the same behavior.. a little bit of rules for thee not for me with him.

❆ He's desensitized to violence, depsite that even some of the shit they see during their adventures startle even him. Times like that he'll rush to you. Trying to offer awkward comfort. If he's beside you while it happens he's rushing to cover your eyes. Don't look. You don't need to.

❆ Once his obsession turns romantic, he is as previously discussed, initially hostile towards you. Your trauma may come into this if he knows enough. Nasty comments that dig like thorns into your old wounds. All in an attempt to scare you away from him. To free himself of the thoughts of you.. only to realize it made it worse.

❆ He'll rush to apologize. Plead. Spilling out his own trauma in detail. He's been hurtin’ too ya know? He's been hurting for so long. He knows you have been too. It was a stupid decision of his. He's in a catatonic state, muttering apologies until you forgive him. You can even beat him into a pulp if you want. Dante can rewind him back! Take all your anger out on him! Your anger of the world, the people who hurt you in the past, and he who has hurt you know. Cave his skull in with his own bat if that'll make you feel better.

❆ He'll thrown himself into combat violently. Failing his checks, tanking damage for others, and wailing on the enemies to punish himself. Then he'll stand there drenched in blood after the battle. Quiet. Hoping seeing him in that state will make you forgive him.

❆ He'll try to get you go dump onto him your past. Just him. He wants to understand more. He wants to share that hurt. It'll bring you two closer. Please. He'll insist vehemently in private. Until he starts just taking wild guesses. He won't stop until you tell him. His behavior really doesn't get much better after.

❆ If anything it worsens in some aspects. He's more violent towards those who cross the slightest Boundaries that aren't him. He's seething internally and swearing death on anyone in your past. He's more rigid about letting you do certain things such as battles.

❆ All so you two can wallow alone in your own misery and gloom. A pit of sorrowful shallow understanding he wants to grasp onto. He wants to hold your heavy heart along with his. Even when you don't want him to.
