If i had a coin for everytime someone sent me their "telemachus sister oc" with an image and asking me everyone's reaction to her i would be so rich. /hj

The answer to that will always be the same no matter how different your ocs are in looks (especially since you never give me any personality trait to imagine) :

The suitors would be harassing the princess just the same as they do with the queen.

If she's more of a tomboy they would mock her behind her back just the way they do with the prince and king.

They will compliment her beauty too much and objectify her like a bride prize. They would non stop flirt with her and think they have a chance with her. Some might try to manipulate her into betraying her mother.

They would only make telemachus life harder because he has to protect both his mother and sister.

Lysandra is the older one of the two, and is typically a lot more hard-headed and impulsive. As a result, she is very much not willing to put up with the suitors’ bullshit. Unfortunately she has to due to a little thing called xenia! So instead she just seethes in silence most of the time and waits for the day she can properly retaliate.

Eurymachus: She knew him growing up, and he’s a little over two years older than her. She wasn’t a fan of him when they were kids and argued with him frequently. They became more involved in her teen years, where she started to become fond of him. She got really good at picking up on his tells when he lies and calling him out on his bullshit. However she also really enjoys his wit and his stories. When she was around 18/19 the two of them got very close for a time. But eventually he stopped talking to her, and after three years or so he came to pledge a suit.

Since he’s become a suitor, Lysandra is firmly in the camp of hating him. At least, that’s what she says. She hates him the most of all of them and will never forgive him. She does not accept any of his charm or pretty words and is not afraid to call him a lying snake to his face. She trusts him about as far as she can throw him. Unfortunately, she can’t expose his bullshit without risking him exposing her secrets (namely her habit of combat training in secret) This means they’re locked in a bit of a stalemate, so she settles for cornering him and threatening him (thus far ineffective) and dealing with the fact that she’s not sure if she wants to kiss him again or stab him.

She tells herself when the time comes it’ll be easy to get rid of him, but it’s a bit more complicated than she claims

Antinous: Similarly to Eurymachus, Lysandra has technically known Antinous since they were small. However she didn’t find herself interacting with him a whole lot, unless she was trying to nose her way into whatever he and Eurymachus were up to. They’re only about a year apart, but she never got especially close with him. As for the man he is now, she despises him. She finds him utterly insufferable and hates his guts. But because it’s not quite as personal as with Eurymachus, it’s more in a general “wow I want to punch that guy in the face” type of wall. However, once she catches wind of how he treats Telemachus, it would take a miracle to keep her from ripping him a new one.

Amphinomus: Lysandra is not sure what to make of Amphinomus. She has made it her life’s mission to despise every last one of the suitors, but he’s so nice and polite that it makes it very hard to do so. As a result she’s on neutral terms with him. Instead of being snappy or glaring at him like she does with the others the most he gets is a curt nod of acknowledgement.

Amphimedon: she hates him. So so much. It’s not in a personal way like it is with Eurymachus, but she very much still doesn’t like him. If she could, she would love to tell him exactly where he can go. Unfortunately, she is tragically bound by the laws of xenia so she settles for glaring at him with the eyes of steel that she shares with her father Odysseus. The most she gets to do is make sharp remarks at him. It’s not enough.

Agelaus: She’s also not a fan. He’s not as bad as some of the others, but that’s not saying a lot. She grudgingly admits that he’s attractive, but she hates the company he chooses to engage with. Any attempts to flirt with her are met with unimpressed stares. However, she doesn’t consider him much of a threat like she does with the others.

Ktessipos: About as big a fan of him as she is Antinous and Amphimedon. Which is to say she would like to tell him to go shove something where the sun doesn’t shine. She finds his laugh annoying and his jokes aren’t funny. The one exception to this is when he’s mocking Eurymachus. She finds this just a little bit funny. Mostly though she views him as Antinous’ stooge and similarly fantasizes about breaking his nose.

Polybus: This is a weird one. Generally speaking, she just avoids him whenever possible. She’s thought about hitting on him purely to fuck with Eurymachus a little bit, but she’s too awkward with flirting skills to ever think of actually doing this. She would, however, imply to her ex that she finds him attractive purely to fuck with him.

Melanthius: Lysandra isn’t really a fan of him. But it’s not his surliness that bothers her so much as it is his opinions on women and the fact that he sticks so close to the suitors. If he actually does his work she will gruffly thank him as she thinks it’s important to make sure the staff are thanked properly when they do their job. She doesn’t really trust him though.

So here's my Phemius! (The bard that unwillingly entertains the suitors)

fun fact, the lyre is based on one of the few depictions of Phemius I could find?

but outside of that I (yet again) took a page out of @messymoonmad's book with the animal design inspo (sue me it's a cool idea)

So he's based on a European Robin! (Bc....songbird? Also I liked the color scheme :)))))

Some headcanons (liberties were taken because The Odyssey doesn't give me a lot to go off of)

- 28-29 years old

- 5'9" with just a little chub. He's got a lil dad bod

- beautiful singing voice. I keep thinking of Damon Dauno's Orpheus (AKA Off-Broadway Hadestown Orpheus. Exposing my Hadestown love ig lmao. I love Broadway Hadestown but if you HAVEN'T listened to the Off-Broadway Epic III it is ETHEREAL)

- Very gifted with words…but only through music. Outside of that he’s more reserved and soft spoken

- He can't speak to save his life and has a speech impediment that gets much worse when he's nervous (most of the time)

- He has so many thoughts in his head but the words get all jumbled up when he tries to speak, leading to a LOT of stammering and repeating words

- (Because of this, he avoids speaking in front of the suitors at all costs lmao)

- Unfortunately he does have to sing for them

- He's the PALACE'S bard. He works for the Ithacan royal family specifically (idk if patronage was a system in Ancient Greece but something along those lines makes the most sense to me here)

- therefore he's obligated to perform for them for hospitality reasons(like how the staff has to serve them)

- He LOVES singing and also memorizing/reciting epic (heh)s. He's a massive nerd and would ramble about historical events for hours if you let him

- he also writes songs of his own but he doesn't share those much

- He dislikes the suitors immensely and hates performing for them. He would tell them off if he could but even if he tried he'd just stammer his way through it

- He's a doormat. Not because he doesn't CARE about the way he's treated but because he can't speak up about it

- (He mostly just seethes in silence)

- He dislikes Eurymachus in particular (presumably because of how smoothly he's able to speak and charm people?)

- (.....that may not be the only reason though)

- A sensitive and sweet soul, feels emotions through music very strongly

- A MASSIVE romantic and adores love songs, but too shy to actually pursue anyone
