ODY'S STORY
after gaining immortality and after polyphemus, his story takes a turn for the worse. the furies end up capturing him and torturing him, leading to his belief now that he was born a monster instead of becoming one. believing that he is to blame for... everything.
he tries. he tries so, so hard to keep living. but three thousand years of only eventually burying the families you've made leads him into isolation. leads him to being... nobody.
and now?
now, ithaca's regarded as the safest place in the entire world. all because of him. all because he's protected it since day one. and it's a thankless job. no one even knows he exists. they certainly don't know who he used to be.
all the people of ithaca know him as... is the red/crimson ghost of their island.
POSEIDON'S STORY
of course there's immediate guilt. he wanted to kill odysseus, not turn him immortal. he had watched from afar for quite a while... until he couldn't be passive anymore.
his intervention ends with his banishment. self-inflicted, spending thousands of years deep within the mariana trench because of what he had to do. because he had to save ββββ by ending his life.
but within the trench, he meets a sea nymph. the process was long, grueling, but eventually... both of them come out of that trench together. not completely healed, but still together.
he's even reconciled with odysseus.
... that guilt never truly going away.
ZEUS'S STORY
this time, the mutiny works.
it was not an easy decision. the charge led by athena again. if only zeus had listened. if only zeus had been a better king to them all, then maybe... maybe this wouldn't have to happen.
maybe taking his god king status and throwing him into his own prison, amphora, wouldn't have had to happen. placed back at the very mountain he'd been raised on, now trapped in a cage of his own making.
but this imprisonment isn't supposed to be permanent. this cell, his watcher. athena had advocated that... even the worst person can change if they just try, can't they?
HADES'S STORY
how can you remain unscathed?
you've no karma to reap. you have not took what cannot be taken back. and for this, your times throughout the thousands of years has been fruitful. you're at peace, and so are the souls you protect.
but what happens, then, when the world is not at peace?
when the world goes to war with one another not once, but twice? when the amount of souls coming to the underworld... can make anyone lose faith in humanity?
but you're not anyone.
hades learns. hades grows. his hope shines even brighter. a hope so bright, so real, that it manifests itself into a child that persephone and he finally have. the hope, zagreus.
DIOMEDES'S STORY
it starts during the trojan war.
there's consequences for spilling the ichor of two gods. consequences diomedes doesn't much pay attention to after returning home to a throne essentially taken from him. he could've fought. he could've killed. but he didn't. instead, going out into the world to establish new cities. to meet new people. and years pass. and years pass. and years pass.
he finds out that his old friend, odysseus, is still living just as he. so he goes to support him. to make sure he's okay. they're both not aging. it's... only that, right? odysseus certainly never mentions anything more.
so can you blame him? when an old friend is taken by the furies in front of you, can you blame diomedes for thinking that he's dead?
there's consequences for spilling the ichor of two gods.
consequences for not being able to save your friend.
diomedes fights. he fights in every war that he can now. fights no matter the cost because he cannot just sit by anymore. fighting through every war... gives you some notoriety, doesn't it? it makes people pay attention to you. it eventually makes you a target.
it eventually gets you captured and experimented on.
being able to escape eventually, diomedes now moves around very often. never staying in one place, never leaving too much of a trace behind. he can't risk ever being cut open again.

when will he stop feeling frozen in place while time and people move on without him. when will he stop feeling the weight of each and every single day of 3000 years while simultaneously feeling like pen died only 3 years ago.
With Nob(ody)'s self image issues, would his worst nightmare would be someone with Catoptrophilia? (obsession of seeing oneself or one's partner in mirrors)
Aka. The guy with the bedroom covered in mirrors
i mean. nobody has very few physical self image issues so i don't think it would be his nightmare. his nightmare is more-so someone who clearly doesn't feel guilty for the heinous actions they've made and even GLOAT about it (which is why he has particular problems with zeus)
so it's less about vanity and more about who you truly are
actually nobody looks in mirrors most times and fully disassociates, so there's that too
nobody being thirsty ON SIGHT is absolutely taking me out XD
this is the beginning of an amazing friendship
or spectacular? superior? ultimate? (do we get the spiderman joke yet)
Is it bad that I wish to be shrunken to the size of like a soda can and then just get carried around on ody's voluptuous bossoms or his bountiful behind?

no way at first meeting its the how to talk to short people meme and tall bro chooses every wrong option π got some opinions for someone in shin biting distance >:/
You know, in my past I searched for the most painful way to kill someone.
Burning, I thought, surely, would be on top; however direct flame destroys the nerves too quickly.
The brazen bull, a method from either the ancient Greeks or Romans, was definitely an honourable mention; both for the length of time the death is drawn out, and the sheer spectacle of it.
But no, from what I recall of my research; the slowest and most painful way to kill someone is to steam them. Indirect heat means the nerves stay intact, and also adds a suffocation factor.
