Antinous of Ithaca

This is actually my first time attempting to draw dreadlocks, and I can see why he's the most difficult design to deal with.

He's actually my favorite suitor, if not my favorite character of the, "Odyssey." Yes, I know this guy has issues.

He's a problematic alcoholic, he's selfish, he's rude, he has dad issues, he looks down on the poor (most of the time), he's willing to murder people for the throne, and the list goes on. A menace to society.

But I still love that smug, handsome jerk. If he has no fans left, you know I'm dead.

Eurymachus of Ithaca

I haven't drawn him since that comic I did months ago.

He was my least favorite suitor, at least before Amphimedon showed up.

Unlike with Antinous who's more brash and blunt, Eurymachus relies on cunning tricks, and a silver tongue to manipulate, and lure his victims into his trap.

I grew more fond of him over the course of time, and I love to get to know his backstory, and his family.

One of the biggest mysteries I have yet to find out was where did he learn the birds and the bees?

Did he have a pep talk with his father, did his sisters tell him, did he read a bunch of forbidden scrolls, was he leaning into arts like paintings and statues? When did he learn this, and what was his first reaction? It is a question I'm afraid to ask, but I must know.

Someone tell me!

Amphinomous of Dulichium

I have absolutely no quarrels with this man! He's perfect just the way he is!!!

His hair is so fluffy and puffy, I really want to pat it (✿^‿^)

Penelope, why didn't you choose him!? I know you're waiting for your husband, but how could you say no to this cuddly bear ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ ♡

Agelaus of Same

When the next set of suitors came in, he became my instant favorite coming close with Leodes.

He's the second most difficult to draw, because of his hair. As much as I love his design, sometimes when I look at him I think, "what is that?"

Surprise: it's a sheepdog!

I had him on the same page as the main suitors, because he was the one who had to step in as the leader after those three were eliminated.

As much as I understand the suitors had it coming when they broke the sacred Xenia law by being terrible guests, I feel they deserve better.

Maybe I'll do more sketches of them in the future, but that'll have to depend on how many of you are interested.
