I have set up a lot of mystery through my posts because some of it is based in things I actually wasn't sure on but knew I wanted probably

That being said, it's definitely the worldbuilding about how IRL religions would work that I have done. At least it's the first one that came to mind.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not a huge fan of the overly Christian view those in the English-speaking Pokemon fandom have of Arceus. I prefer to have all religions have their opinions on Arceus as well as other legendaries. I mean, even if universally treating it as fact that Arceus is the Abrahamic god is kinda boring imo, the Christian theological debates on Arceus's nature would be hilarious.

There is scientific proof of the divine in the Pokemon universe. Enough where you can carry an electronic field guide that have legendaries in them.

However, there are still many ways to interact with the divine even beyond science, and so I feel most, if not all, real world religions do exist in some capacity. While part of it is that is what the fanfic author that inspired the plot of the AU, who left the fandom before Arceus was a thing mind you, had in her fics. That being said, previous AUs I had (one of which I would say is basically a beta Shining Justice as it had a lot of the same elements such as typed humans, another thing I actually would like to talk about at some point but the religions thing came up first in my head, and the idea of May having a journey without Ash) also had IRL religions existing because Pokemon is based on the real world, and I prefer to reflect that.
