Under the bio there is a post that reads as follows:

Needless to say, this isn't how Tumblr verification works. For starters, it only applies to users from countries with governments that unfortunately require it (because otherwise Tumblr wouldn't be able to operate in those countries; it sucks but they're not the ones calling the shots here). Also, it's done via a third party, k-ID.

new tumblr thing - if this toggle is on, people can see the replies you leave on posts (including other people's posts) in the "comments" section of your blog (your blog likely only has a "posts" section but may also have "likes" and "following" visible if you haven't turned those off). like this:

the last time I reblogged this post right before I got a great job, in a permanent work-from-home position, with benefits, retirement, and a salary literally 3x what I was making before, doing something I really like. 

So you know. 

If you are a socially anxious person, you have to socialize. Your panic/anxiety attacks will only get worse and trigger more frequently if you constantly avoid contact with The Public. Not saying that you need to be a social butterfly- but there is a genuine problem with not being able to order your own meal at a restaurant. And it cannot be solved by always having someone else do it for you.
