The Dwelling of the Ogre by Gustave Dore, 1868.
You wonβt find this pigeon on the streets of New York City. Meet the Pink-necked Green Pigeon (Treron vernans)! This colorful bird can be found throughout Southeast Asia, where it inhabits forests. It hangs out in small flocks in the treetops, foraging mainly for fruit. Distinguishing males from females isnβt too difficult: Females lack pink necks and are mostly olive-green in color!

ββ¦And Stay Down!β Charles Keegan 1998
Magax reminds me of like 80s horror movie heros. You know, when horror movies started getting really *pulpy* with the splatter. He's like Ash from Evil Dead. Except he didn't lose a hand. And he's competent. And doesn't work at a grocery store when he's not slaying the undead.
And he'd have the same voice actor as Hoss Delgado.
For centuries, Magax was Neopia's greatest threat, a villain without equal... but all of that is behind him now.

MAGAX!
Finally, my childhood self can be somewhat satisfied that he's finally in a plot... it's a cameo, but it works
Fandom Problem #11,707:
Peter Pan novel: Vaguely says Peter "thins out" the boys if they grow up
YouTubers: OMG THAT MUST MEAN HE'S KILLING THEM! CLEARLY CAPTAIN HOOK IS SECRETLY THE GOOD GUY TRYING TO SAVE THEM
Early manuscript of the novel: Goes into more detail, saying he's merely kicking the children out of the group "like a mother bird kicking her chicks out of the nest"
The book: Has an entire subplot where Captain Hook is trying to poison the Lost Boys, tries to kill Wendy to save his own skin, and fights dirty during a duel Peter was trying to make the fight fair
YouTubers: (crickets)
When are y'all going to learn YouTubers will twist the facts to get more views? When are you going to actually read this stuff yourself instead of blindly believing a summary of the book?
