7th - Virgo: Favorite female character
I like a lot of the female characters of the series but this year will be about our darling little birdie Kotori! Cause I tell ya I just love it when she gets to be so sassy even at Kaito and Shark! Like she used to be afraid of them but then you get to see her calling one of them out haha! Her calling Kaito an idiot in the manga is still one of my fave parts ha! She aint afraid to break up fights despite her dainty physique and got her voice to back it up. And I really adore her friendship with Rio, while Rio is very close to her brother I don't think she had that big of a friend circle herself. Yuma aside, Kotori stepped up to befriend Rio herself, birds of a feather flock together in a way. I actually wish we got to see more moments with them but I digress. Kotori is small but mighty with the sass to boot and I adore her for it cause oh boy Yuma needed someone to at least try to keep him out of trouble since he sure as heck aint doing it himself!
I love this girl. Kotori appreciation up in here!

6th - Dog: Favorite secondary character/sidekick
Ok! Can we get some appreciation for grandma Haru Tsukumo up in here?! Like this spunky old lady practically raised Yuma and Akari after her son and daughter-in-law disappeared all by herself. Cause remember, pretty sure Akari was still in high school when it happened so Haru had to look after her and Yuma. I bet she mightâve had help from Kotoriâs family since sheâs close friends with Kotoriâs grandma. Haru was like a wise guide who gives her grandchildren advice and to remind them to stop and think before they act. Even supporting Yumaâs dream to be a Duelist despite Akariâ forbidding Yuma to duel. And when Yuma was down after his first duel against Kaito she had him go see Rokujuro to help him and helped be mediator between Yuma and Akari. Haru is truly a wise woman who we all need in our lives! She is stern but fair and supportive and I adore her.
Best. Grandma. Fight me!

5th - Sagittarius: Fave sceneries
For this one I have to go with a tie between Astral World and Barian World but because there was too little! I mean we have these two unknown incredible looking new worlds yet we barely had enough screentime to explore them! Granted we got more of Barian World than Astral World though that was courtesy of Don Thousand and even then most of the landscape had changed because of him fusing Earth and Barian World together. But when it comes to actual genuine locations there isn't a whole lot on both planets. I see more fan artwork of them than actual scenes from the show! And that's more on Barian World than Astral World, even OCs. I see more Barian OCs than Astral Being OCs which is kinda sad to me really because the designs of the actual Astral beings we do get are quite aesthetically pleasing. People of light yet at the same time of stasis, tranquility, and division. While Barians and Barian World I see it as a world of darkness and activity, action, and creation (of Chaos and Chaos Evolution).
They balance each other in their own way and I wouldâve appreciated seeing more of the two planets, thank you very much!
Like seriously look at these places!! The urge to explore is real! I would;ve loved to see more!

4th - Dragon: Favorite Dragon/Duel Monster Appreciation
Darkness within the shining galaxy. Become the light of hope and live as my servant! The incarnation of light descends! Come forth! Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon!
Aaah I don't think I can get enough in gushing about this lovely dragon that is Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon. The colors, the galaxy effects, the summoning sequence oh I can't get enough! Galaxy Eyes has to be one of my favorite Dragon monsters out there in the Main Decks. (move over Blue Eyes!) I always wished they expanded more on the Galaxy Eyes legends and on how Kaito even got Galaxy Eyes in the first place. I mean we have its true Number form up on the moon yet there's its Main Deck form. Not even Tachyon had a situation like that in the show. So why only Galaxy Eyes? Is no one else just a little curious? If I have to make and come up with the lore myself Iâll do it! But Iâm curious about everyone elseâs opinions. Because I love this Dragon, I want more on the lore gosh darn it.

Hello everybody! Its Aurasoulhikari here and joining my favorite time of year Zexal Month! And I cant wait to see the awesome posts this year makes me so happy to see the Zexal fandom is still going strong. Now Ill be talking about my favorite character which ended up bleeding into my favorite duel cause of course it did haha!
Yuma is my all time favorite character because of how much forgiveness he has in him. A boy of hope who cares and looks out for others whether they be friend, foe, or complete strangers, that's just the kind of person Yuma is. Even if he has a bit of a short temper and gets annoyed with some people he still cares and looks out for them. I admire and respect that about him heck he even still reaches a hand to Tron and Vector after all the stuff theyâve done, which was a lot. But that's who he is, our Duelist of Hope, Yuma Tsukumo. And not to mention his and Astralâs duel against Kato where he helps Kaito to clear his doubts and to be able to duel for himself. Them dueling on their terms. No souls involved, no desire for Numbers, just Duelists going all out against each other with no regrets and enjoying it to the fullest! Yes! That is what I love most about it all! I can't get enough of it!
I just really liked their duel I cant help it! And I know I said this last year but truly Yuma is too good for the world!
Mental Crop Rotation
When farmers grow the same crop too many years in a row, it can leave their soil depleted of minerals and other nutrients that are vital to the health of their fields.
To avoid this, farmers will often alternate the crops that they grow because some plants will use up different minerals (such as nitrogen) while other plants replenish those minerals. This process is known as âcrop rotation.â
So the next time you find that you need to step away from a project to work on something else for a while, donât beat yourself up for âquittingâ that project. Give yourself permission to practice âmental crop rotationâ to maintain a healthy brain field.
Because Iâve found that when that unnecessary guilt and pressure are removed from the process, a good mental crop rotation can help you feel more energized and invigorated than ever once youâre ready to rotate back to that project.
: A crucial part of crop rotation is that the field is let fallow sometimes. You plant whatâs called a âcover cropâ, which is something you donât expect to harvestâ itâs there for its roots to hold the soil in place, and often itâll be whatâs called a nitrogen-fixer, i.e. a plant that can pull nitrogen out of the air and fix it into the soil with its roots (but sometimes it wonât, sometimes itâs really just there to shelter the soil surface), and then youâll till in that cover crop, or let the frost kill it and the stalks lie as mulch, and then youâll rotate productive crops back into that field the next season.Â
Itâs important, though, to understand that during the fallow period, no nutrients are removed from that ground, and nothing is expected of it. Whatever the land grows then, it keeps, and it gets tilled back in or decomposes in place, to return its energy to the earth.
Weâre not allowed, in our current society, to just let our minds be fallow for a bit, to produce nothing for export, to make nothing that can be sold. But itâs part of good land stewardship, to give every field time when it doesnât need to give you anything back.Â
So yes, grow and produce different things from time to time, rotate them around your mind and exercise different mental muscles, take different things from your creative processes, yesâ but also, give yourself a fallow spell now and again, and let the field of your mind grow things for itself to keep, to break down and save for later.Â

So there was an isekai manga back before the oversaturation/mess called Marchen Awakens Romance. It was kind of tropey but it was one of my first manga so I have a soft spot for it.
Especially Ginta Toramizu.
Just look at this idiot (affectionate). He has emo bangs in this image only due to the angle, but I wanted a screen cap/panel with the little chibi fang. I always found it cute.
Also he has a ponytail. He played a role in my artistic habit of drawing guys with ponytails. I feel like a lot of him was absorbed into my OC Soren.
Also Ginta had glasses until he got isekai-ed. Normally you couldn't see his eyes to make him look like a dork.
But when you could see his eyes?
Honestly, I think he looks better with them. AU idea- he's stuck with them and has to figure out how to navigate a shonen battle manga with the chance of turning into Velma at any moment.
But enough prattling on about his design. Ginta is your average idiot shonen protag. Emphasis on idiot. But I love idiot shonen boys so I don't care. What got me as a kid was the intense training arc this guy went through. After which he was a different character. No more chibi fang and a lot less lovable idiot traits. And there was a lot of suffering to get there.
