Hey, Tumblr! I'm just a hobbyist artist trying her best to… well, as the blog title says. XD
To be absolutely clear; my blogs are NOT suitable for sensitive audiences! While generally semi-cartoony and child friendly, my stories tend to contain a lot of hurt/comfort themes, and sometimes delve into HEAVY SUBJECT MATTER. I’ll do my absolute best to warn and hide such posts appropriately, but I will no longer be tagging them. (See here for my explanation on why.)
And for anyone wondering, no, I don’t plan on taking commissions any time soon. I appreciate any genuine interest in paying for my art, but that’s not what I want to do with it. ^^ (I may start a Patreon/Ko-fi at some point, but I have no desire to do specific requests for money.)
Below I have a list of stories I plan to cover, depending on how I’m feeling. I tend to work on them through hyperfixations, so it’s always up in the air which one I’ll be focused on at any given time…If any. X3

I never told y'all because I'm not particularly interested in joining any conversation around it, but I finally watched The Amazing Digital Circus after the finale went up on Youtube.
I very much enjoyed it! It was a fun romp and a great collection of artistic skills combining into one grand masterpiece!
...And last night I got the overwhelming desire to put an OC idea to (digital) paper.
So, meet Tridra!
I still don't want to get into, like... AU exploration or building, but I really like the concept of this fellow! I like to think his real-world self is a jock guy who is somewhat delusional about both his strength and smarts, thus his muscle is made of fluff and his extra heads are empty of all thought. All he truly is is an insecure stringbean of a creature.
Chapter 3 1/2 is going to be a collection of comics that don't fall cleanly into a chapter, so instead I'll use this post to link them all together! They will still be important to the story, but I just wanna have some freedom to be loose with them, lol.
I'll provide links to each comic itself as well as where it falls compared to the previous chapters. ^^ (Note--Names may be added to here before the actual comic is posted!)

That said, I've been having a hard time with drawing lately. I'm desperately hoping I'm not falling into burnout, and that it's just because I went back to work after a couple weeks off and have also been distracted watching TADC Cast videos lol.
So, I'm hoping that I'll get back into comic drawing sooner rather than later--The two listed above as of this reblog are already done so I can post them when I feel like--but I may need to take a break for a bit. We'll see, fingers crossed the mood returns soon!

Alright! Chapter 3 is officially wrapped up now, and with it the end of the "Establishment Arc!"
I plan on taking a different approach with the next chunk of story; the next Chapter will still be 4, but before I get into that I'm gonna do some more slice-of-life moments that don't really count as a Chapter. Things that happened behind the scenes of the previous chapters, or things that might happen between now and the start of Chapter 4.
They'll still have importance to the story, but I want to be looser with this segment, with sketchier comics and less pressure to keep them directly connected or chronological, although I'll be sure to add links to where they do connect and specify where they fall if during a previous moment. And I don't want to wait and build a backlog before I start posting--I'm just gonna post them as I feel like. ^^
If y'all have anything in particular you'd like to know about WotMEQ--The world, the village, the characters, small moments, silly things, etc--feel free to ask! (Although as per usual, I may not get to all of them for various reasons.) I'll open up the Inbox on the WotMEQ blog, but either there or here works for me--Just bear in mind I may officially incorporate your ask into the story, lol!
I’m assuming that one way an adult or elder beast could fall would be someone/something tried to straight up steal/eat the magic inside them. Would a fallen beast try to devour the magic of another beast. On a related note is magical energy called aether, mana or something else entirely in WotMEQ.

First, to make it clear: Any Beast* can Fall at any age for one reason only; Insufficient Magic in their system.
While this is typically caused by lack of proper consumption, there is one known cause of syphoning, and that is pregnancy; Pregnant Beasts need to keep on top of their Magic consumption more than usual, as the developing baby needs its own supply. It's a small amount, but does steadily increase, and if the mother isn't careful, the drain could sneak up on her...
Generally, Beasts born outside of civilization (if the mother survives such a birth) will naturally consume small amounts of Magic in their regular diets, and for a while that's enough to keep them going. But eventually it isn't enough, and they Fall to the Hunger. If a Beast is born to a parent/s with no knowledge of the Hunger or how to prevent it, therefore it never gets a surplus of Magic growing up, it is almost certainly going to Fall within the first 10-15 years of life.
*Wolf and Winks are, thus far, the only presumed examples of this not being the case.

Second: Magic is the only thing the Fallen are trying to consume--They have fallen into crisis mode, leading them to seek the one thing they know they need. They lose all sense of their other needs, meaning they don't eat, drink, or sleep, and even if they do consume Magic (usually by eating another Beast, if they can accomplish that much), it does nothing to quell the Hunger.

Third: I just call the magic in this world Magic. I try to capitalize the M, since it's an important element of the world, but sometimes I forget or don't quite know if it qualifies, lol
What is the extent of what magic can do in WotMEQ. Like is it a more limited system or is it theoretically capable of the time of insane stuff that high fantasy magic can like tearing open holes between dimensions, ripping someones soul out of their body or stopping time temporarily. We’ve already seen it bring someone back from a mortal wound if not true death, even if it was unclear whether the beasts actually knew that would work or not. It does make me curious.
I would say it's on the more limited side --No black holes or time travel or anything that affects the bigger picture. It might be possible to rip someone's soul out, but nobody has ever attempted it. ...As far as anyone knows, anyway.
Generally I'd say that Magic effects individuals, a certain range, or a set "path" so to speak.
That said, it is possible to get creative or intense with it, if one has the means to really play around with different Morphs of Magic.
Do beasts only "fall" when they're asleep? Nobody seemed too concerned around Wolf, but he still chained himself before sleeping.
No, they can fall at any time. Wolf was chained in that particular moment because he had direct access to outside for a prolonged period--otherwise he just stays inside locked doors. (He's fairly certain that even if he does Fall with the patio as the only way out, he'd break a bone or otherwise hurt himself trying to leave.)
Wolf still follows the procedures set for him, but has become a little lax with them in some senses. He might've chained himself more at the beginning, but now only does it on his patio when he plans to be there awhile.
Beasts typically Fall in their early teens or younger if they don't get enough Magic, so with Wolf being beyond that age and going strong, people generally aren't too worried that he'll Fall at this point.

I have a question, when someone eventually turns into a a beast or is turned into one by someone else, is the species random? Or dose it tie with something like there temperament or personality, or how they view themselves or how how others view them, or is it already decided what animal they could become at conception, like two sides of a coin?
Are there any characters you want to think up / describe where you think "yup those absolutely exist in the world/in the village" but who have zero plot relevance whatsoever?
I've been thinking of a group in the background that I think would be fun to add somewhere!
It started with the Alpaca nurse actually.
So, I never gave her a name in-story, but privately the name Mary came to mind... Which made me think of my original Soul Silver team, and turning them all into Beasts.
Somewhere along the way I remembered Kestrels are a thing, and thought it would be fun to make "Pidgen" into one. (I'm aware of the spelling error, lol. It could still be a cute name. XD)
Another animal I would like to have, and may make Quince into one, is the Binturong.
Anyway, yeah, that's a group I think would be fun to add even if they have no huge impact on the story. ^^
