Genuine question and I DON'T want to sound rude here but, do endogenic systems experience dissociation/amnesia?
I think maybe I could get behind it if it comes with dissociation, since there's many disorders that cause dissociation and severe dissociation can defo lead to a CDD without trauma maybe (because it is argued if trauma is even necessary for DID despite it being prevalent in many cases) but otherwise I'm just honestly confused on how systems form without barriers or anything
And if they DID have these barriers they wouldn't be non-disordered, since then you would meet diagnosis criteria! Because trauma isn't a requirement for DID/OSDD diagnosis. And listen I'm not referring to soulbonding or tulpas here because that's a seperate spiritual practice okay
But seriously, I'm struggling to understand how someone can have alters WITHOUT amnesia barriers/seperate personality states that would be qualifying for DID. Are endogenic systems...not alters? I'm so confused

Everytime we tell a friend we're plural we get one of 2 reactions.

They're just curious, and I can deal with that! With the first one, I have to basically beg them to acknowledge me as a person!! I'll always prefer the 2nd one. Always.
fakeclaimers make it impossible to fucking breathe as a system.
you can’t be too overt because its a covert disorder and if you’re overt you’re probably exaggerating for attention, but also if they can’t tell when you switch you’re also faking because they should be able to tell.
you can’t have too many alters because that’s rare and impossible but you also can’t have too few alters because that’s easy to fake.
your trauma has to be severe enough to cause DID in their eyes, but you story can’t be too crazy otherwise you’re lying or exaggerating.
you can’t switch too much because alters need a trigger to switch, but if you don’t switch often you’re lying because its easy to fake not switching.
if you’re able to function at work or school you’re faking because DID is debilitating but if you’re disabled by it suddenly you’re just lazy and making up fake excuses to not work.

developing a system is like making toast. hear me out on this one.
sure, there are multiple ways you can make toast. you can use a toaster, a grill, a pan, an oven, even a flamethrower if you like it REALLY toasted. but you know what all of those methods have in common?
they all require heat.
if you have no heat source, you can't make toast. sure, you can use a sharpie and scribble on bread to make it *look* like toast, but it's still bread. it still isn't toast without the heat.
developing a CDD (aka system/plurality) is the same way. trauma can look vastly different, but it's all still trauma. abuse, neglect, bullying, it does not matter. trauma is required for the formation of a system just like heat is required for toast.
endos can try to look like systems all they want. they can use a whole box of sharpies trying to pretend they're the same as us. but at the end of the day, they're still bread and we're still toast.
