Summary: You try getting out of bed early for work, but Taesan refuses to let the morning end that easily
The alarm had barely gone off when you tried to move.
It was still dark outside, and the room remained warm from the heat that had built up through the night. Taesan was sleeping pressed against your back, one arm wrapped across your waist and one leg tangled between yours like he had unconsciously decided you weren’t allowed to escape.
Carefully, you lifted his arm a few inches.
Bad idea.
Before you could even slide out of bed, he let out a low sound of protest and pulled you back against his chest, holding you tighter this time.
“Dongmin…”
you murmured between amusement and exhaustion.
He buried his face into your neck without opening his eyes.
“No.”
His voice came out rough, heavy with sleep.
“I have to go to work.”
“Mmm.”
He didn’t sound very concerned about that.
You tried turning slightly to look at him, but the second you moved, he took the opportunity to pull even closer, hiding his face against your collarbone while both arms wrapped completely around you.
“Five more minutes.”
he mumbled.
“You said that ten minutes ago.”
“Then it worked.”
A small laugh escaped you and you tried lightly pushing his shoulder away, but Taesan only responded by hugging you tighter, practically pinning you against the mattress.
“Dongmin, seriously…”
He finally opened one eye.
Black hair completely messy, cheeks soft with sleep, and that slightly annoyed expression he always had whenever he got woken up too early.
“Why does your job need you so much?”
he asked, frowning slightly.
“Because they pay me.”
“I could do that too.”
You laughed again.
“You can’t pay me to stay in bed with you.”
“Who said I can’t?”
Now he opened both eyes, staring at you while a slow smile spread across his face.
And before you could answer, he grabbed your waist and pulled you right back on top of him.
“Look,”
he said, still half asleep.
His hands settled against your back while he buried his face into your neck again.
“You’re warm here.” “The bed is soft.” “And I’m holding you.”
He lifted his head slightly to look at you.
“So why would you want to leave?”
You looked at him, trying not to laugh too hard at how serious he sounded.
“Because I’m a functional adult.”
Taesan immediately made a disgusted face.
“That’s such an awful sentence to hear at six in the morning.”
And before you could try getting up again, he started covering your face with quick, messy kisses, very obviously using them as a distraction.
Author's note: Writing these 12 chapters felt strange since it's my first time writing fantasy, but I enjoyed it. I hope you liked the first season. I'll be writing more. The second season is coming soon.
Part 9-12 Season 1 finale
The city did not react with noise.
Only glances.
They weren’t alarmed, but they weren’t indifferent either. It was something harder to define, as if your presence didn’t quite fit into any category they understood.
The people of Aetheris had something difficult to explain.
Soft luminous skin, eyes that reflected the surrounding light as if it lived within them, calm movements, almost floating. Not exactly human.
Closer to something ancient.
Something your mind couldn’t fully define.
“Do they always look like this?” you murmured without realizing it.
Leehan heard you.
“Like what?”
“…Like angels.”
You didn’t say it with certainty. More like an impression you couldn’t fully explain.
Leehan let out a small laugh.
“That’s what humans say when they see them for the first time.”
Woonhak immediately looked up.
“Humans have seen them before?”
Sungho didn’t answer.
But his attention was already fixed more on the surroundings.
Not the city itself.
But on how it reacted to you.
Because now it was impossible to ignore.
They weren’t just looking at you.
They were perceiving you.
Some stopped slightly for no clear reason.
Others frowned as if trying to understand something that didn’t quite fit.
And others simply kept their gaze on you longer than normal.
Leehan stopped smiling.
Jaehyun reduced the wind around him without noticing.
Taesan tensed slightly.
Sungho glanced at you, more serious than before.
Woonhak opened his notebook.
“They’re reacting to her magical signature.”
“Signature?” you repeated quietly.
“Impossible in humans,” he replied immediately.
Riwoo looked at him.
“It’s not impossible.”
And he didn’t add anything else.
The group continued moving forward.
The city opened up ahead, leaving the main areas behind and becoming quieter, greener, where the sound of water returned through small canals and more open structures.
The medicinal garden appeared without announcement.
It wasn’t just a garden.
It was a large space within the city, almost like a temple integrated with nature. Soft pale stone structures blended with luminous plants, as if the place hadn’t been built but grown around something alive.
The air there was lighter.
The plants grew in patterns that didn’t fully follow natural rules, some glowing softly, others leaning slightly toward you for no clear reason.
Riwoo stepped forward and then stopped.
“Here.”
There was no discussion.
Sungho studied the place for a few seconds before looking away.
Leehan stayed near the edge of the garden, watching the environment settle.
Taesan silently evaluated the space.
Jaehyun let the wind completely calm around him.
Woonhak was already writing something else.
Riwoo moved again first.
He guided you toward one of the structures inside the garden.
The interior was even quieter.
Stone pathways connected rooms that opened toward the garden, where light entered easily and the plants could be seen from almost every angle.
You stopped when you reached one of them.
A room had been prepared.
Simple, bright.
With a direct view of the medicinal garden.
Riwoo spoke calmly.
“You’ll stay here for now.”
It didn’t sound like an order.
It sounded like something already decided.
And no one contradicted it.
For the first time since you arrived in Aetheris…
you weren’t moving forward.
You were just there.
In a place that seemed to observe you in silence.
The garden slowly faded without ever becoming fully dark.
The sky of Aetheris never fell into night like in your world. Instead, it shifted tones, as if someone were layering deeper colors over the same canvas. Soft pinks, denser violets, blues that seemed to move gently into one another.
The light was still there.
Just calmer.
You fell asleep without realizing it.
It wasn’t sudden. It was more like your body finally gave up resisting the exhaustion that had built up since your arrival, as if it had finally decided to stop fighting.
While you slept, somewhere else in the temple-garden, the guardians were gathered.
It wasn’t a formal meeting.
There was no table or defined structure. Just the group in one of the open spaces, where the air was more stable and the sound of the garden came in softly.
Sungho spoke first.
“It’s not just that Astra Veil let her in.”
Leehan was leaning near the inner water channels, watching the small currents move without him touching them.
“We already know that,” he replied.
Taesan wasn’t fully sitting. He was simply observing the ground, as if listening to something the others couldn’t hear.
“The forest reacted the same way as the lake,” he said quietly.
Jaehyun crossed his arms.
“And the wind doesn’t push her. It circles around her.”
Woonhak looked up from his notebook, more serious than usual.
“That shouldn’t exist in any record.”
A brief silence followed.
Then Riwoo spoke.
“Her body is adapting too quickly for a human.”
Sungho looked at him.
“Or too well.”
No one responded immediately.
Because that was the part none of them wanted to say out loud.
Aetheris wasn’t just tolerating you.
It was recognizing you.
The night passed without incident.
At least, it seemed that way.
The next morning, soft light entered the room from the garden.
But you didn’t wake right away.
Something was around you.
Soft.
Warm.
As if the air itself had taken form while you slept.
When you slowly opened your eyes, you realized you were inside a giant flower.
But not a normal one.
Its petals were translucent, like a bubble made of light and soft texture. They surrounded you without pressing against you, as if they had been protecting you all night.
The inside was silent.
Too calm.
You blinked, confused.
And then you heard voices outside.
Footsteps approaching.
The floral structure reacted slightly, as if it could “feel” their presence.
Riwoo’s voice came first.
“She’s here.”
The flower opened a little wider.
And then you saw them.
Riwoo.
Leehan behind him.
Sungho watching in silence.
Jaehyun unusually still.
Woonhak holding something that was probably food… and staring at you like he had forgotten how to blink.
“We brought clothes and food,” Riwoo said calmly.
But he didn’t finish the sentence.
Because everyone was looking at the same thing.
The giant flower you had slept in.
Leehan frowned slightly.
“That wasn’t here yesterday.”
Sungho stepped forward.
The flower didn’t react aggressively.
It just… lingered for a second.
As if waiting.
And then it dissolved.
Not withering.
Not breaking.
Just fading into soft particles of light that blended into the garden air.
Silence.
You were still sitting on the bed, half confused.
And then you noticed it.
On your ankles.
Small marks.
Pink.
Like freckles, but forming tiny stars.
Also on your wrists.
And a few softer ones near your collarbones.
You stared at them without understanding.
The garden air didn’t change.
But the boys did.
Woonhak was the first to speak.
“…That wasn’t in any record.”
Leehan said nothing.
Sungho neither.
But his gaze sharpened.
More serious.
Taesan stepped slightly forward.
And Riwoo…
Riwoo didn’t come closer.
He just watched in silence.
As if for the first time since meeting you…
he wasn’t looking at a human.
But at something Aetheris had already started marking as its own.
The silence lasted a few seconds longer than usual.
Then everything started moving again.
They gave you clothes, light and adapted to Aetheris’s climate.
And food too—different from human food, but not strange; more like something alive in a way that was hard to explain.
They left it in the garden room without pushing you.
But the problem appeared quickly.
When you tried to change.
No one had mentioned privacy.
Literally no one.
Leehan was leaning against the door.
Jaehyun was looking in through an open window.
Woonhak already had his notebook in hand again.
Taesan stayed silent in a corner of the hallway, as if the concept of personal space was still being processed.
You stood still for a moment.
Looked at them.
Then pointed at the door.
Softly.
“Out.”
It wasn’t aggressive.
Just clear.
Silence.
Leehan blinked.
“…Out?”
“Yes.”
Jaehyun tilted his head.
“Why?”
“…Because I’m changing.”
Woonhak immediately wrote something down.
“Interesting human social behavior—”
“Out.”
Stronger this time.
Leehan let out a short laugh.
“Ok, ok.”
They left.
Without much resistance.
Just curious.
Before closing the door, Leehan spoke.
“Can we come in later?”
“…knock first.”
Sungho nodded.
“Understood.”
The door closed.
From that moment on, things didn’t change all at once.
They just adjusted.
They started observing you more often.
Not in an invasive way, but constantly.
Riwoo was the most attentive, always noticing if your breathing or condition changed with the environment.
Sungho asked direct questions that rarely sounded like questions.
Leehan spent time near the water whenever you were close.
Taesan stayed quiet, but the environment still reacted to you even inside the garden.
Jaehyun unintentionally shifted the wind depending on his mood.
Woonhak wrote everything down.
And you started noticing a pattern.
Every night, small changes happened.
Marks appearing or becoming more visible.
The giant flower returning without explanation.
Creatures lingering near your room, watching quietly without trying to scare you.
With time, you stopped reacting to it as much.
You also started dreaming.
About your world.
Your room.
Your bed.
One day you woke up there.
Suddenly.
The air felt different. Heavier.
Your room was the same.
You sat still for a moment.
Until you felt it.
The drawer.
Your father’s room drawer.
You opened it.
There were things you didn’t remember seeing before.
Old scrolls.
Folded letters.
Papers written in a language you didn’t understand.
But when you touched them, something inside you recognized them.
You took them.
Without thinking too much.
That night you fell asleep holding them.
And returned to Aetheris.
When you opened your eyes, the flower no longer surprised you.
Leehan was already there before you spoke.
“Ok,” he said. “that’s getting weird even for you.”
You sat up and took out the scrolls.
Silence immediately fell.
Woonhak stepped closer first.
“…that’s not human.”
Sungho studied them without speaking at first.
Taesan leaned in slightly.
Leehan stopped joking.
Riwoo approached more slowly.
When Sungho took one of the papers, the atmosphere shifted.
“It’s written in ancient Aetheris language.”
Silence.
Woonhak opened his notebook.
“That language doesn’t exist in human records.”
Leehan read another scroll quietly.
“…these look like letters.”
They looked at each other.
Then at you.
No need to say it out loud.
They were love letters.
Sungho said it quietly.
“…Elyria.”
The name lingered in the air.
Riwoo looked up.
“The ancient entity?”
Sungho nodded.
Leehan set the scroll down.
“That would explain too much.”
Taesan didn’t speak.
But he didn’t look away.
Woonhak was already writing.
“If this is real…”
Jaehyun interrupted without thinking.
“…then she’s connected to you.”
Silence again.
Heavier this time.
Because no one had an answer.
But they were all thinking the same thing.
Aetheris wasn’t just accepting you.
It was recognizing you.
It wasn’t pain. It was a sensation, like something inside you was fitting into place for the first time. The letters were no longer completely unfamiliar, not entirely, but enough for you to understand them, and then you heard it—not as an external voice, but as a thought that wasn’t yours.
“If you are reading this… it means the world has not forgotten me completely.”
You froze. Sungho noticed your expression.
“…What did you see?”
You didn’t answer.
Another line appeared.
“You are the continuation of what could not remain.”
The air in the garden stopped.
And then it changed.
The light around the parchments began to flow toward you—first softly, then more intensely, as if the paper wasn’t showing text anymore but releasing it. The glow spread through the garden in shades of pink and purple, filling the space without breaking it.
The flowers leaned at the same time. The water stopped moving. Even the wind went still.
Leehan took a step back.
“…okay, that wasn’t happening before.”
The letters began to rise from the paper. They were no longer inside it; they floated in the air, as if ink had learned to exist outside the page. And every sentence was not only read—it was heard.
“Elyria did not disappear from the world.”
The voice was not one. It was the entire garden repeating it.
“She was divided so that balance would not die with her.”
Butterflies appeared after that. They didn’t fly in. They were simply there, as if they had always existed, slowly circling around you, brushing near your hands, your shoulders, the air you were breathing.
Sungho frowned.
“…this isn’t just reading.”
Riwoo didn’t take his eyes off you.
“It’s not the parchment… it’s you.”
Another line appeared, stronger, as if the world itself was speaking through it.
“One part remained in the world. One part in magic. And one part… in humanity.”
Your breathing stopped for a second.
The glow intensified, and the ground reacted as if it couldn’t support what was happening.
Jaehyun stepped back.
“…the wind isn’t following anything.”
Taesan didn’t speak, but the forest behind him stopped moving completely.
Woonhak closed his notebook.
“…this isn’t in any known system.”
The last line didn’t appear like the others.
It broke into the air instead.
“When the system breaks, the last part will choose where it belongs.”
The light expanded all at once.
It wasn’t violent, but it was too much.
Your legs gave out and you fell to the ground. Not in pain—just exhaustion—while the glow stayed around you, as if the system had already finished speaking.
You were still conscious.
Just breathing.
Leehan stepped toward you.
“Are you—”
“She’s fine,” Riwoo said before he could finish.
Sungho didn’t look away from the garden.
Because something was still changing.
The light began to rise—not toward you, but toward the sky.
And then it happened.
The sky of Aetheris flickered.
A crack appeared between the colors.
Not destruction.
Just separation.
As if something that had always been connected had remembered it could split apart.
Summary: At a noisy arcade, Riwoo’s attention shifts from the games to you when he notices something no one else seems to catch and instead of saying anything, he decides to handle it his own way.
It’s not something you notice right away.
You’re at an arcade with the others, moving between machines, lights and sounds constantly going off, trying different games, laughing, drifting from one place to another without staying too long.
And Riwoo is with you.
At first, he just seems to be tagging along, looking at the same things you are, making small comments here and there, but little by little, his attention shifts to something else.
The strap of your top slipping off your shoulder every now and then.
The first time, he looks away quickly, like it’s nothing.
But it happens again.
And again.
He starts paying closer attention without saying anything, noticing every time the fabric falls slightly, exposing your skin while you don’t seem to care enough to fix it.
When he steps behind you to see what you’re playing, his hand lifts carefully and adjusts the strap back into place without really touching you. He doesn’t say anything, just moves on like it’s nothing.
You don’t react.
You keep playing, focused.
And that makes him pay even more attention.
He follows you between machines, passing by your side more often, finding small excuses to get closer and fix it again when it slips, always quick, always trying not to make it obvious.
But he keeps noticing it.
And it gets harder to ignore.
Until it’s not just the strap anymore.
You’re trying out a game, leaning forward, focused on the screen, and he’s right next to you. His gaze drops without him meaning to.
He pauses for a moment.
Then looks away, but his expression has already changed, more tense, like he doesn’t know what to do with it.
He glances around.
There are people, others playing, no one really paying attention.
Even so, he doesn’t like it.
He doesn’t like that someone else could see.
He doesn’t like what it does to him.
He takes off his jacket.
Steps closer to you and places it over your shoulders, covering you carefully.
“You must be cold,”
he says, trying to sound normal.
It pulls you slightly away from the game.
You look at him, surprised, but you don’t get the chance to say anything.
He’s already pulling the zipper up slowly, stopping around your chest.
Author's note: I'm really trying to make this make sense 🥲, I hope you like it, it's the first time I've written something so long
Part 5-8
“Well.”
Leehan clapped his hands together once.
“Now that Jaehyun has stopped creating mini hurricanes for five seconds…”
“It wasn’t on purpose.”
Jaehyun muttered, still embarrassed.
“…we have a more important problem.”
You raised a brow.
“What problem?”
Everyone went silent for a second.
And you didn’t like that.
Woonhak was the first to speak.
“We have no idea what to do with you.”
“Wow. That helps a lot.”
“I’m trying to be honest today.”
Sungho sighed quietly.
“This has never happened before.”
he explained while looking toward the distant lake.
“A human can’t simply cross Astra Veil.”
“What if it was an accident?”
you asked.
Sungho slowly shook his head.
“The lake decides who enters.”
Your stomach tightened slightly.
Because every time they talked about that place, it sounded less like a lake and more like something alive.
Something aware.
Leehan noticed your expression and stepped a little closer.
“Don’t look so scared.”
he said calmly.
“Astra Veil doesn’t let dangerous things pass through.”
Pause.
“Usually.”
“LEEHAN.”
“What? I’m trying to comfort her.”
That definitely was not helping.
Riwoo looked at you again.
“For now, the important thing is that you rest.”
“Where exactly?”
you asked.
Silence again.
Jaehyun immediately raised his hand.
“She can stay with me!”
The wind lifted several leaves around him the second he finished speaking.
Sungho answered without even looking at him.
“No.”
“Why?!”
“Because you destroyed three windows last week.”
“THAT WAS A STORM!”
“One you caused.”
“Details.”
Leehan started laughing again.
Woonhak raised his hand next.
“The library has empty rooms.”
Sungho looked at him.
“You’re going to academically harass her.”
“It’s not harassment if she learns things too.”
“Yes, it is.”
Taesan remained quiet near the edge of the forest.
The massive red-antlered creature was now lying behind him, calmly watching you.
You were still trying not to look at its horns too much.
Riwoo seemed to think for a moment before speaking.
“She could stay near the medicinal garden.”
That finally made Sungho look up.
“Because she’s human?”
Riwoo nodded.
“The magic there is gentler. It’ll help her adapt faster.”
That seemed to convince him a little.
Though he still looked deep in thought.
Then you realized something.
“Wait…”
Everyone looked at you.
“You all live together?”
Leehan smiled slightly.
“More or less.”
Jaehyun gestured around them.
“The guardians have different territories, but this place belongs to all of us.”
“Like a base?”
Silence.
Woonhak wrote something in his notebook.
“I don’t know what that means.”
“I’ll explain later.”
“Perfect.”
He wrote that down too.
Sungho finally spoke again.
“You’ll stay here for now.”
“‘For now’ means what exactly?”
“Until we understand why Astra Veil allowed you inside.”
he answered calmly.
And even though his voice remained steady…
there was something in his gaze that made it hard to ignore how much that actually worried him.
The wind started moving around Jaehyun again.
“I think we should show her Aetheris.”
Everyone turned toward him.
Jaehyun shrugged.
“What? If she’s staying here, we can’t just leave her confused all the time.”
“That makes sense.”
Riwoo admitted.
Leehan smiled.
“Besides, I want to see her face when she sees the floating city.”
Your eyes widened.
“The what?”
Woonhak immediately lifted his notebook again.
“I KNEW that reaction was going to happen!”
Sungho closed his eyes for a second.
Like he was accepting that everything had already spiraled completely out of control.
And honestly…
you were starting to feel that too.
Leehan didn’t say anything.
But he didn’t stop looking at you.
The lake creatures were still floating between you, now closer to you than to him. Some of them slowly circled your hands, as if they recognized something you couldn’t see.
He crouched slightly toward the water.
Like he needed to confirm it again.
But he still didn’t speak.
Sungho noticed it.
So did Taesan.
Jaehyun kept walking a little ahead, letting the wind gently push the leaves on the path without realizing it. Woonhak followed behind, constantly writing while trying not to trip.
“Alright… let’s move.”
Sungho finally said it.
His voice cut through the moment without completely breaking it.
And they started guiding you away from the shore.
The path they took was different.
Deeper.
The lake slowly faded behind as the landscape shifted.
The air turned cooler.
The sound of water blended with something else.
Life.
The forest appeared without a clear transition.
First, the trees.
Tall.
Too tall.
Then roots covered in flowers.
And after that, the creatures.
Small shadows between branches.
Bright eyes watching you without fear.
Taesan was walking in front of you now.
He didn’t talk much.
He simply set the pace while the massive being following him moved silently between the trees.
At first, everything seemed normal.
Until the forest didn’t react the way it should.
The branches didn’t close in.
The creatures didn’t hide.
And the wind between the trees didn’t shift into something strange.
It stayed… neutral.
Like it didn’t know what to do with you.
Taesan noticed it first.
He stopped slightly.
Turning his head just enough toward you.
“It’s not rejecting you,” he murmured.
Sungho lifted his gaze.
“That doesn’t make sense.”
Taesan didn’t answer right away.
His eyes stayed on the ground for a second, watching a small forest creature approach your feet without hesitation.
Normally, they didn’t do that with strangers.
But with you, there was no distance.
No defense.
Only curiosity.
Leehan, a little further back, saw it too.
And this time, his expression turned more serious.
“The lake and the forest don’t react the same way to anyone,” he said quietly.
“There’s always a limit.”
Woonhak looked up from his notebook.
“That’s scientifically impossible within magical records.”
“This isn’t in the records,” Sungho replied.
The path continued.
But the atmosphere wasn’t simple anymore.
Because now it wasn’t just the lake.
Or just the water creatures.
The forest was accepting you too easily.
Taesan slowed down slightly until he was walking beside you.
He didn’t look at you directly at first.
He only spoke after a few seconds.
“It’s not normal,” he said.
No softening. No question in it.
His eyes finally turned to you.
“None of this is normal about you.”
The forest behind you moved gently.
Not dangerous.
But like it was listening.
Leehan, from behind, didn’t say anything.
He just kept watching the lake creatures that had followed you a little from the shore.
Like they didn’t want to leave you completely.
And for the first time since you started walking through Aetheris…
they all stopped treating it like curiosity.
And started treating it like something they needed to understand.
Before the world did it for them.
The silence that followed wasn’t uncomfortable.
It was heavier than that.
Like the forest itself was waiting for someone to define what you were, but no one wanted to be the first to say it out loud.
They kept walking.
But it wasn’t the same anymore.
You could feel it even when no one was looking directly at you. Not in a human way, but in the way the world itself seemed to shift slightly around your presence. Branches moved a fraction slower near you, like the environment was paying attention without deciding what to do yet.
Jaehyun broke the silence without meaning to.
“The wind isn’t acting normal.”
Everyone glanced at him for a moment.
“What do you mean, ‘not normal’?” Leehan murmured.
“It means it’s not reacting to me the way it should.”
Jaehyun frowned, like that bothered him more than he wanted to admit. The air around him shifted slightly, but not in its usual chaotic way. It was… steadier. Like something else was subtly balancing it without permission.
Sungho noticed it too.
His gaze sharpened for a moment.
“That’s not normal either.”
Taesan didn’t speak, but his eyes moved briefly toward you again.
It wasn’t accusation.
It was calculation.
Like everything happening was starting to connect in his mind, but still didn’t have a shape yet.
Leehan, meanwhile, stepped closer to the edge of the path where water still ran through the forest.
The glowing creatures that usually followed him weren’t as active as before. Some floated more slowly, like even they were uncertain.
“This is weird,” he said quietly.
“Not ‘human in Aetheris’ weird,” he added after a pause. “More like… the world isn’t reacting properly.”
Woonhak looked up sharply.
“That’s not documented.”
“Because it never happened,” Leehan replied without looking at him.
Woonhak went quiet for once.
That already said a lot.
The path began to open up ahead.
Between the trees, something different appeared.
It wasn’t the enclosed forest anymore.
It was wider. More structured.
And in the distance, white buildings started to appear among the vegetation, connected by bridges and elevated paths that seemed to float between water and branches.
The city.
Aetheris wasn’t just forest or lake.
It was life built on top of something alive.
But even before reaching it, something shifted again.
The air grew lighter.
And for the first time since you arrived, you felt the environment… hesitate.
Not rejection.
Not acceptance.
Hesitation.
Sungho stopped abruptly.
“Wait.”
Everyone stopped with him.
His gaze was fixed ahead, but not on the city itself.
Something else.
The space in front of them looked slightly distorted. Like the air was denser in a specific point along the path.
Taesan stepped forward.
“There’s a barrier.”
Leehan tilted his head.
“There shouldn’t be one here.”
Jaehyun lowered his voice for the first time.
“The wind doesn’t pass through properly either.”
Woonhak slowly closed his notebook.
“That’s… not a normal structure in Aetheris.”
No one looked directly at you.
But somehow, you still felt like the center of everything remained you.
Sungho exhaled slowly.
“It looks like the world is trying to decide something.”
Silence.
And then the air in front of you moved.
Not like an attack.
Not like defense.
Like something on the other side was… responding.
Leehan stepped slightly closer to you without thinking.
“If this is what I think it is…”
He didn’t finish the sentence.
Because the barrier reacted.
And for a brief moment, the air shimmered.
Like Aetheris had recognized you again.
The barrier didn’t open abruptly.
It didn’t disappear either.
It simply… yielded.
As if something on the other side had made a decision without saying it out loud.
The air in front of you lightened for a second, and then the space distorted just enough to allow passage.
Sungho moved first, watching every detail like he expected it to change its mind at any moment.
Taesan crossed after him without hesitation.
Leehan followed naturally, as if he had seen something like this before.
Jaehyun passed through with a soft shift of wind reacting at the threshold, and Woonhak almost tripped as he crossed, too busy writing even then.
And then it was your turn.
The moment you crossed the barrier, something in your body changed.
Not immediate pain.
More like a loss of balance, as if the air inside you no longer matched the air of this place. Your breathing became heavier without warning, and the ground felt slightly farther away than it should have been.
You stopped for a second without meaning to.
Leehan noticed it first.
“Hey…”
Sungho turned immediately.
“She’s reacting.”
Woonhak looked up sharply.
“The human body shouldn’t—”
“Woonhak, later,” Leehan cut in, more serious.
But you were already feeling the exhaustion hit you all at once, as if crossing had confirmed your body simply didn’t belong here.
Aetheris was too “full.”
Too alive.
Your vision slowed slightly.
And then someone appeared beside you.
Riwoo.
You didn’t see him approach clearly, only felt his presence close, more stable than everything else around you.
“Don’t push your body,” he said softly.
Before you could respond, he gently took your arm and guided you closer to him—not fully holding you, but giving you something steady to anchor yourself to.
His warmth was immediate.
And with that contact, something shifted.
A soft sensation spread through your body, as if the air around you became less hostile.
Your breathing stabilized slightly.
The weight didn’t disappear, but it stopped feeling like you were about to collapse.
Riwoo didn’t say anything else at first. He just kept the contact steady, as if he already understood your body’s reactions before you did.
“The magic here is too concentrated for you,” he murmured. “You need gradual adjustment.”
Woonhak raised a brow.
“That shouldn’t be possible without prior training—”
“I know,” Riwoo replied without looking at him.
Sungho watched in silence.
Leehan, meanwhile, looked at you with something more focused than before. Less curiosity. More attention.
Taesan didn’t speak, but his eyes stayed on your condition.
Jaehyun lowered his voice slightly.
“Hey… the air around her is stabilizing.”
As if even the world had noticed the change.
When the discomfort eased enough, Riwoo loosened his hold slightly, but didn’t let go completely.
“Better,” he said.
And then you continued walking.
Aetheris’s city unfolded fully in front of you.
White and gold structures stretched across glowing waterways and floating bridges. Nature wasn’t separated from architecture—it was fused with it, as if everything had grown together from the beginning.
Small creatures flew between buildings.
The sky above was still that impossible gradient of pinks, violets, and golds, but here the light felt more structured, as if the city filtered it.
And yet…
something still felt off.
Not rejection.
Not acceptance.
Just… observation.
As if Aetheris still hadn’t decided what to do with you.
Leehan noticed it as they walked.
“The city is quieter than usual.”
Sungho nodded slightly.
“It’s aware.”
Woonhak looked around, completely absorbed.
“This isn’t documented in any transition record…”
“None of this is,” Taesan replied quietly.
You kept walking, still slightly leaning on Riwoo.
And for the first time since arriving in this world…

your guardians!bnd is so cool❗❗ are you going to continue it? if so is there a way i can be updated? I srsly love the fantasy concept sm😭🙏
Hi, I've finished writing the first season. The chapters will be uploaded these days; I've already scheduled it. I've been feeling inspired lately and I'm feeling a bit better about writing now. That's why I've been constantly updating. I really appreciate that you like what I write 🥹💕
You’re not sure when it stops being just a comment.
You were watching the performance like always, laughing a little, pointing things out without thinking too much… until you notice Taesan isn’t reacting anymore.
When you turn, he’s no longer looking at the screen.
He’s looking at you.
“So from what I’m seeing… you like ‘Idol Taesan’ more than me.”
“Huh? That’s not the case.”
He doesn’t answer right away, just leans in a little closer, like he needs to check for himself.
“Then?”
“Then what?”
“Who do you like more?”
You look at him, a little confused by how serious he suddenly sounds.
“Well… you’re both you, so…”
His expression shifts slightly.
“I’m jealous.”
“What?”
“What I’m saying is that you should like me more.”
It doesn’t sound insecure, it sounds decided, like he’s actually thought about it.
You lean in a little too, meeting his gaze.
“How could I like you more than I already do?”
For a moment it seems like you leave him without an answer, but he recovers quickly.
His hand comes to rest beside you, closing the space between you. He doesn’t touch you directly, but it’s clear the movement isn’t casual.
His gaze drops to your lips for a second before returning to your eyes.
“That’s not enough,” he says quietly.
“I don’t want you to like me the same.”
He leans in a little more, his voice lowering near your ear.
“I want you to like me more.”
Your breathing shifts and he notices, not because he says anything, but because of the way he watches you, paying attention to every reaction.
“I have to make you like me more,” he adds, even softer this time.
His hand finally moves, wrapping lightly around your wrist, not tight, just enough to keep you there if you were to move away.
Then he shifts closer, tilting just enough to rest his head against your shoulder. You feel the light weight and the warmth before he turns his face slightly, just enough for his lips to brush against your neck in a brief kiss, like he’s testing your reaction the same way as before.
When he pulls back just a little, he doesn’t go far. He looks at you again, waiting to see what you’ll do, like this is no longer just a conversation.
omg i love the concept of guardian!bnd it’s so creative !!
I'm so glad you like the concept, thank you from the bottom of my heart!!🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🤍
I honestly didn’t think about posting this because I felt like it wouldn’t turn out well, since I don’t think I’ve ever written fantasy before, and I was a little scared?
But in the end, I decided to upload it anyway, because I thought that even if just one person likes this, that’s enough for me🥹
Author's note: This was written unconsciously by me, based on a dream I had. If it doesn't make sense sometimes, I'm very sorry. English isn't my native language. This will be long, I'm so sorry!! If you like it, I'll make season 2
Warnings/themes: Fantasy world setting, mild tension, unknown magic effects, emotional overwhelm, body weakness/dizziness, existential/mystery themes, slow-burn relationships, no explicit romance (season 1), cliffhanger ending
Summary: You wake up in Aetheris, a world where nature, magic, and ancient beings coexist. The lake that connects worlds should not allow humans to cross but it lets you through. As the guardians begin to watch you closely, strange reactions from the land itself suggest something deeper: Aetheris is recognizing you. And when forgotten letters from Elyria begin to awaken, the truth about your existence starts to unravel.
Introduction :
Aetheris: A world between skies, water, and ancient magic. A place separated from the human world for centuries. Nature and magic live together there: luminous rivers, giant trees, cities built around water, magical creatures, pink, purple, and golden skies. And at the center of it all…
Astra Veil: The sacred lake. The place that connects worlds. They say the lake is alive. And that it decides who can cross. No one has seen a human enter in centuries. Until you.
THE GUARDIANS:
Sungho: Guardian of the lake. Elegant, calm, distrustful of you at first. He feels like you’re hiding something, even though you don’t even understand what you’re doing there. The aquatic creatures obey him. And the flowers freeze the moment he gets worried 😭
Jaehyun: Absolute chaos. Manipulates air currents. Asks way too many questions about the human world. Probably thinks microwaves are dark magic.
Woonhak: Archivist/mage apprentice. OBSESSED with you. Wants to know EVERYTHING about humans. Literally follows you around writing things down in a notebook 😭
Leehan: Half water creature. Literally the first one who helped you out of the water. He likes the lake’s creatures, and they follow him everywhere. He’s the one who tries the most to make you feel comfortable.
Taesan: Protector of the forest. Very strong. Very quiet. The giant forest creatures obey him. But he’s secretly very gentle with you 😭
Riwoo : Healer. The kindest from the very beginning. He helps you when the shift between worlds starts making you sick. Because humans can’t breathe pure magic properly at first.
Part 1-4
The night before had been normal.
Too normal.
You remembered checking your phone a few minutes before falling asleep, getting comfortable under the blankets, and closing your eyes while thinking about unimportant things.
Nothing strange.
Nothing different.
Which was why the first thing you felt when you woke up was confusion.
Water moved slowly around your body.
You blinked several times.
Blue light filtered through the water above you, illuminating everything in an unreal way.
And the sky…
the sky made no sense.
Purple.
Pink.
Orange.
The colors blended softly overhead like living paint.
Your heartbeat started speeding up.
This had to be a dream.
You tried to move and only then realized you were completely submerged.
Panic hit immediately.
You pushed yourself desperately toward the surface.
Air rushed into your lungs the second you broke through the water.
You coughed several times while trying to stay afloat.
The lake was enormous.
Far too big.
The water shimmered beneath the strange sky as if it carried its own light.
And around you…
everything looked impossible.
Huge cream-colored arches rose between flower-covered trees.
White bridges stretched across crystal-clear streams.
Brightly colored birds flew over the lake while tiny glowing lights drifted through the plants.
Everything felt too real to be a dream.
Even the water, the air.
Even the fear tightening inside your chest.
“…Human?”
You lifted your head quickly.
Not far away, someone was standing in the water.
A boy.
Dark wet hair stuck to his forehead.
Wide eyes staring at you in genuine surprise.
And in his hands, he held a tiny glowing creature that looked like a mix between a fish and a butterfly.
He blinked several times.
“Oh,”
he murmured, confused.
“You’re actually human.”
You stared at him without understanding anything.
“What place is this…?”
you asked quietly.
The boy tilted his head slightly.
As if the question itself was strange.
“Aetheris.”
The name moved through your body strangely.
Familiar.
Like you had heard it somewhere before.
Before you could respond, several birds began descending near you.
Too many.
Glowing butterflies appeared among the flowers near the shore too.
And all of them seemed to be watching you.
Not aggressively.
More like they wanted to show you something.
The boy frowned slightly.
“That never happens…”
he murmured.
You barely heard him.
Because the birds slowly started moving along the edge of the lake.
Guiding you.
Without understanding why, you started following them.
The grass beneath your bare feet felt soft and cold.
Flowers brushed against your legs as you walked beside the water.
And even though you kept trying to convince yourself you were still dreaming…
everything felt too real.
You could hear the wind.
Feel the damp earth beneath your feet.
Even the scent of the flowers was unlike anything you had ever smelled before.
You glanced behind you for a second.
The boy was no longer where you had seen him.
But tiny glowing creatures still appeared beneath the water near the shore.
As if something—or someone—was still following you from inside the lake.
The birds continued leading you between enormous trees and ancient structures covered in flowers.
The entire place felt alive.
As if nature itself was breathing alongside you.
Then the air changed.
The wind became colder.
You slowly stopped walking.
And that was when you saw him.
A boy stood near one of the cream-colored bridges.
Tall.
Dark hair moving slightly with the wind.
And eyes fixed entirely on you.
Your breath caught for a second.
Because something about him felt… different.
Heavier.
Older.
The flowers near his feet slowly began covering in a thin layer of frost.
Nothing dangerous.
But impossible to ignore.
Even the water near the bridge looked calmer somehow.
He didn’t speak at first.
He only watched you.
Like he was trying to understand what you were doing there.
The birds that had guided you began moving nervously around him.
And for some reason…
that made you even more nervous.
You took a step back without thinking.
The frost over the flowers spread slightly further.
Then he finally spoke.
“…A human.”
His voice was calm.
Soft.
But it still made your skin prickle.
You opened your mouth, but no words came out.
Because honestly…
what were you even supposed to say?
The boy slowly stepped down from the bridge without taking his eyes off you.
Calm movements.
Elegant.
And the closer he got, the more you noticed tiny crystals of ice forming over the nearby plants.
As if the cold followed him naturally.
He finally stopped in front of you.
His gaze moved quickly over: your soaked clothes, your bare feet, and then your face.
Something in his expression shifted slightly.
Confusion.
Suspicion.
And something else you couldn’t understand.
“Astra Veil does not allow humans inside.”
he murmured, more to himself than to you.
Astra Veil.
The lake.
So that was its name.
You swallowed nervously.
“I don’t know how I got here.”
His eyes immediately lifted to yours.
Like he was trying to figure out if you were lying.
But before he could respond, another voice appeared behind you.
“Because she probably doesn’t understand it yet either.”
You turned quickly.
The boy from the lake was sitting casually on a rock near the water as if he had been there the entire time.
The glowing creatures still floated around him.
And when he smiled slightly, you noticed the amusement in his expression.
“You’re scaring her, Sungho.”
Sungho didn’t answer immediately.
He kept watching you.
And the longer he did, the more aware you became of how strange everyone there was.
Not frightening.
Just…
too beautiful.
Like they didn’t belong to the same world as you.
The lake boy —Leehan— still had droplets of water slowly sliding down his neck while tiny glowing creatures floated around him like they adored him.
And Sungho…
Sungho looked like he had stepped out of an ancient painting.
The pink light from the sky barely filtered through his dark hair while thin layers of frost continued forming over the flowers near his feet.
Everything in Aetheris felt too perfect.
Too alive.
Leehan finally stepped down from the rock and walked closer to you both.
“Well, now that we know she actually is human…”
He looked at you.
“What’s your name?”
You told him your name, still completely confused.
Leehan smiled slightly.
“Pretty.”
Sungho immediately glanced at him.
“Don’t act like this is normal.”
“I didn’t say it was normal.”
Leehan shrugged.
“I just said she doesn’t seem dangerous.”
You blinked.
“‘Seem’?!”
“Hey, in my defense, humans are basically mythical creatures here.”
he replied calmly.
“I’ve never seen one before.”
“Leehan.”
Sungho’s voice sounded more serious this time.
The other sighed.
“Okay, okay…”
Then he looked back at you.
“Aetheris has been separated from the human world for centuries. Nobody crosses Astra Veil.”
Your brows slowly furrowed.
“But I did.”
“Exactly.”
Leehan pointed at you like that was precisely the issue.
“And that’s weird.”
Apparently way too weird.
Because Sungho was still staring at you like he was trying to solve an impossible puzzle.
“The lake allowed you through.”
he murmured.
“I don’t understand why.”
The birds around you started moving again.
Leehan glanced upward toward them.
“Oh.”
That didn’t sound good.
“What?”
you asked.
But before he could answer, several branches shifted violently near the forest.
Heavy footsteps.
Your body immediately tensed.
And seconds later, someone emerged from between the trees.
Tall.
Much taller than the other two.
Dark hair falling over his eyes.
Black clothes lightly covered in dirt and leaves.
And honestly…
he was intimidating at first.
Not because he looked aggressive.
But because the entire forest seemed to react to him.
Branches moved aside slightly as he walked.
And behind him came a massive creature resembling a deer with antlers covered in crimson flowers.
Your breathing stopped for a second.
The boy noticed you too.
And froze.
His eyes quickly moved over your face before briefly stopping at your bare feet.
Silence.
Leehan lifted a hand casually.
“Taesan, don’t kill her. She got here like ten minutes ago.”
“WHAT?!”
Taesan didn’t even react.
He kept staring at you.
Then he slowly shifted his gaze toward Sungho.
“Human?”
His voice was low.
Deeper than the others’.
Sungho nodded once.
“Astra Veil allowed her through.”
That seemed to surprise him slightly.
Very slightly.
But enough for you to notice.
The massive creature behind him slowly approached you.
You immediately stepped backward.
Taesan barely lifted a hand.
The creature stopped instantly.
“It won’t do anything.”
he said calmly.
Though honestly, that didn’t help much when the creature was almost the size of a car.
Leehan laughed quietly.
“You look like you’re about to faint.”
“Because it has giant horns!”
“It has a name, you know.”
You stared at him in horror.
“THAT MAKES IT WORSE!”
Even Sungho seemed to hide a small smile.
Very small.
But it was there.
Taesan lowered his gaze slightly.
And for the first time, you noticed something different about him.
Not intimidation.
Nervousness.
Like he wasn’t used to humans staring at him for too long.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
Then another voice suddenly echoed from farther away.
“WHERE IS SHE?!”
Everyone turned immediately.
And seconds later someone came running through the trees.
Messy hair.
Leaves stuck to his clothes.
And several papers floating behind him because apparently he couldn’t hold anything properly while running.
“IS IT TRUE?! THERE’S A HUMAN?!”
Leehan sighed.
“Oh no.”
The boy stopped right in front of you completely out of breath.
His eyes widened dramatically.
“Oh my god.”
Silence.
Then he pulled a tiny notebook out from somewhere inside his clothes.
“Do humans actually need eight hours of sleep? Does your favorite food still exist? What is Wi-Fi? Is it true microwaves explode if you put metal inside—”
“Woonhak.”
Sungho interrupted immediately.
Woonhak looked up.
“What? This is important!”
“You’re overwhelming her.”
“Oh.”
He finally seemed to realize that you were probably confused, soaked, and mentally close to collapsing.
He slowly lowered the notebook.
“…Sorry.”
Pause.
“But technically I still have A LOT of questions.”
And honestly…
for the first time since waking up there,
you felt like laughing.
_
You probably should’ve been panicking.
Honestly.
Somehow, you had woken up in another world, surrounded by ridiculously attractive magical guardians, giant creatures, glowing birds, and a lake that apparently decided who was allowed to exist there.
And somehow…
your main thought at the moment was:
Woonhak really needed to stop looking at you like you were a museum exhibit.
“You blink differently than I imagined.”
he said suddenly.
You stared at him in confusion.
“…What does that even mean?”
“I don’t know yet.”
And he immediately started scribbling something into his notebook again.
Sungho let out a quiet sigh.
“Woonhak.”
“What? I’m researching.”
“You met her thirty seconds ago.”
“Exactly. First impressions matter.”
Leehan laughed softly nearby while crouching beside the water again. Tiny glowing fish immediately gathered around his hands.
You stared at them in disbelief.
One of them jumped directly into his palm.
“…I feel like nobody is reacting enough to the floating fish thing.”
Leehan looked up innocently.
“What floating fish thing?”
“THE GLOWING ONE IN YOUR HAND?!”
“Oh.”
He looked down at the fish.
“I forgot humans can’t do that.”
“That sentence somehow made everything worse.”
Taesan looked away slightly like he was trying not to laugh.
Which somehow felt even more offensive.
You immediately pointed at him.
“No, because why are YOU smiling now?”
His expression instantly went blank again.
“I wasn’t.”
Liar.
Complete liar.
Before you could keep bothering him, sudden dizziness hit your body.
Hard.
Your vision blurred for a second.
The ground beneath your feet suddenly felt strange.
Leehan stood up immediately.
Sungho’s expression changed instantly.
And Taesan took a step toward you without thinking.
“…Hey.”
Leehan’s voice sounded more serious this time.
“You okay?”
You nodded automatically.
Bad idea.
The movement made your stomach twist painfully.
Woonhak’s notebook snapped shut.
“She’s reacting to the atmosphere.”
Everyone turned toward him.
Woonhak quickly adjusted the papers in his arms.
“Humans aren’t built to handle pure magical exposure for long periods of time.”
You blinked slowly.
“I’m what…?”
“Your body doesn’t understand this place yet.”
he explained while stepping a little closer.
“Aetheris contains too much magical energy. For us it’s normal, but for a human…”
He made a small face.
“It’s kind of like trying to breathe underwater.”
That definitely did NOT help.
“Am I going to die?”
“WHAT?! No.”
Woonhak’s eyes widened dramatically.
“Well—probably not.”
“WOONHAK!”
“WHAT? I’m being honest!”
Leehan dragged a hand down his face.
Sungho closed his eyes for a second like he regretted existing.
And Taesan…
Taesan was still staring at you.
His brows slightly furrowed.
Like he was worried.
That was strangely comforting.
Then another voice appeared behind the group.
“Move.”
Everyone turned.
A boy was walking toward you through the tall flowers.
Dark hair falling softly over his eyes.
Light-colored clothes.
And honestly…
he looked so calm that the air itself seemed to relax slightly when he arrived.
The small flowers near the path slowly bloomed as he passed.
He stopped in front of you.
And the second he looked at you, his expression shifted slightly.
Immediate concern.
“She’s already feeling the shift.”
he murmured.
Sungho nodded once.
“It just started.”
The boy stepped closer to you without hesitation.
“May I?”
he asked softly.
You barely nodded in confusion.
He gently took your wrist.
His fingers were warm.
A soft glow slowly appeared around his hand, blending with tiny sparkling particles floating between you.
But instead of letting go…
Riwoo leaned slightly closer.
And before you could process what he was doing,
his lips pressed softly against your forehead.
The entire group went silent.
Warmth immediately spread through your body.
The dizziness disappeared almost instantly.
Your breathing stopped feeling heavy.
Even the ache in your head faded away.
You blinked in surprise.
Riwoo pulled back slightly after a few seconds, still holding your wrist.
And only then did he seem to notice the strange silence around him.
Leehan was staring at him with raised brows.
Woonhak’s mouth was literally hanging open.
Even Sungho looked confused.
Taesan was straight up staring at him.
Riwoo blinked once.
“What?”
Leehan immediately pointed at him.
“You never do that.”
“Yes, I do.”
“Not with us.”
“Because none of you are human.”
he replied calmly.
Then he looked back at you.
“Physical contact helps stabilize magic faster in human bodies.”
Pause.
“Especially near the head.”
Woonhak immediately raised his notebook again.
“That was NOT in any of the books.”
Riwoo sighed.
“Because there’s never been a human here to test it on.”
That honestly did not help you feel calmer.
But it did explain why you no longer felt like you were about to collapse.
Riwoo slowly let go of your wrist.
“Better?”
You stared at him for a few seconds.
Still slightly surprised.
“…Yeah.”
Leehan smiled slightly.
“Wow.”
Sungho glanced at him.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
Leehan hid an amused smile.
“I just didn’t expect Riwoo to be that direct that quickly.”
“That’s not what it was.”
Riwoo answered immediately.
But the tips of his ears turned slightly pink.
And honestly…
that somehow made everything worse.
_
“So officially, I survived my first… thirty minutes here?”
you asked, still trying to process everything.
“Technically, yes.”
Woonhak replied.
“Although there’s still a possibility that—”
“Woonhak.”
“Okay, okay. I got it.”
He hugged the notebook against his chest with a dramatic sigh.
Riwoo kept glancing at you from time to time, making sure you weren’t about to pass out again.
And honestly… that was hard to ignore after he had literally kissed your forehead in front of everyone.
Your brain was still stuck on that.
Leehan seemed to enjoy it way too much.
Because every time he caught you looking at Riwoo, he smiled slightly, like he was waiting for something entertaining to happen.
Sungho, on the other hand, remained quiet.
Though he no longer looked as suspicious as before.
Just thoughtful, like he was still trying to understand why Astra Veil had allowed you inside.
Then suddenly, a strong gust of wind swept through the path.
Your hair flew back.
Several flowers shook violently.
And Woonhak’s papers went flying into the air.
“MY NOTES?!”
Woonhak nearly yelled while desperately chasing after them.
Leehan immediately burst out laughing.
Sungho closed his eyes like someone mentally preparing himself for something.
And seconds later, you heard a voice in the distance.
“IT WASN’T MY FAULT!”
Another gust rushed through the trees.
Stronger this time.
Branches shook violently and leaves started spinning across the path.
Then someone came running out of the forest.
Dark hair completely messed up by the wind.
Clothes moving along with the air currents surrounding him.
And honestly… he was ridiculously attractive.
But he also looked like a complete disaster.
“I swear the wind started it first!”
he said the second he reached the group.
Woonhak immediately pointed at him from the ground.
“YOU ALMOST KILLED MY NOTES!”
“That was accidental!”
“ONE OF THEM FELL INTO THE LAKE!”
The boy’s eyes widened in horror.
“…Okay, that one was my fault.”
Leehan was fully laughing now.
The newcomer finally seemed to notice you.
And instantly froze.
The wind around all of you stopped too.
Silence.
He blinked once.
Twice.
Then slowly pointed at you.
“…Human?”
“Yes.”
Sungho answered, already sounding tired.
“Real. We’re done being shocked about it.”
The boy kept staring at you in disbelief.
And while he did, a small current of air gently started moving your hair.
Like the wind itself had gotten curious too.
You noticed it.
And apparently, so did he.
Because his eyes widened immediately.
“Oh no.”
he murmured.
Too late.
Another gust swept through the area.
This time several flowers went flying across the path.
“Jaehyun.”
Sungho’s voice sounded dangerously calm.
“Control yourself.”
“I’M TRYING!”
he immediately answered.
Which was clearly a lie considering the wind around him was still moving like it had a mind of its own.
You were barely trying not to laugh.
Because honestly… he looked more embarrassed than dangerous.
Jaehyun quickly ran a hand through his hair before stepping a little closer to you.
“Wait, wait…”
he looked at you with wide eyes.
“You’re really from the human world?”
“…Yeah.”
“Like… phones? Internet? Movies? Claw machines? Those actually exist?”
Leehan laughed again.
“He literally asks the same questions as Woonhak.”
“Because this is important.”
Jaehyun looked back at you with fascination.
And then you noticed something.
The wind calmed down slightly whenever you spoke.
But every time he got excited again…
something went flying.
“So…”
you said slowly.
“Does the wind do that whenever you get excited?”
Silence.
Jaehyun blinked.
Woonhak answered before he could.
“Yes.”
“WOONHAK!”
“What? It’s true.”
Leehan rested his head against his hand, clearly enjoying the situation.
“It also happens when he’s nervous.”
“LEEHAN.”
“And when he gets embarrassed.”
Even Taesan looked entertained now watching Jaehyun slowly start losing his mind.
The wind picked up around all of you again.
Your hair moved once more.
And several leaves started spinning near the ground.
Jaehyun partially hid his face with one hand.
“Please ignore that.”
You were already smiling.
“I can’t.”
That definitely made things worse.
Because another gust swept across the path immediately afterward.
Summary: After confessing his feelings in the quiet of the practice room, Leehan finally asks for something he’s been wanting for a long time, a kiss from you.
They were sitting on the floor of the practice room, their backs resting against the mirrored wall. Just seconds ago they had been laughing, but now only a heavy, charged silence remained.
Leehan had confessed that he liked you. Just like that, without any dramatics, like he was simply saying something that had already been obvious to him for a long time. And you… still couldn’t fully process it.
The silence stretched between you.
Then suddenly, he turned his head toward you.
His gaze was calm, but intense. Piercing.
His head rested against his arm, elbow propped on one knee, and he was close enough for you to feel the warmth of his breath.
“Y/N…”
“Yeah?”
“I want to kiss you. Can I?”
Heat rushed violently to your face and you covered your mouth with both hands in surprise. Your heart was beating so hard you were sure he could hear it.
“W-we can’t…” you stammered, lowering your hands slightly. “I-if I kissed you… knowing you like me… I’d be an idiot…”
Leehan looked at you silently for a second with that calm but dangerous expression only he knew how to make.
Then the corner of his lips lifted slightly.
“You talk too much…”
Before you could react, his large, gentle hand softly held your chin, making you look at him. With his other hand, he tucked your hair behind your ear, his fingers brushing your skin with almost reverent care.
He leaned in slowly until your noses brushed.
“If you don’t want to… just say no,” he whispered against your lips, his voice low and slightly rough.
But he didn’t really give you the chance to answer.
Because deep down, both of you already knew you weren’t going to refuse him.
Your eyes closed almost instinctively.
And then Leehan kissed you.
The kiss was soft at first, like he was savoring a moment he had wanted for so long. But the more you melted against him, the deeper and surer the kiss became.
His hand kept holding your chin gently while the other slid to the back of your neck, pulling you a little closer.
When he finally pulled away, only a few inches, he rested his forehead against yours. His eyes stayed closed for another second, like he wanted to keep that moment for himself.
“…Finally,” he murmured with a small, satisfied smile, almost to himself. “I’ve wanted to do that for a really long time.”

Warnings: fluff, mild embarrassment, soft attraction, child matchmaking, slight secondhand embarrassment (in a cute way)
Summary: When Sungho comes to pick up his younger brother, he doesn’t expect to overhear a very serious proposal involving you and he.
The first time you see him, you don’t think much of it.
Your attention is on the little one, because today he’s more attached than usual, clinging to your leg like letting go would be a mistake. It’s not the first time he’s been affectionate, but this is different. He doesn’t want to let go at all.
“Come on, it’s time to go,” you say, leaning down slightly to look at him better.
He shakes his head, hugging you tighter. “I don’t want to go.”
“You’ll come back tomorrow.”
“But I want to stay with you.”
You sigh softly, and instead of insisting, you crouch down and pick him up. He settles into your arms right away, wrapping his arms around your neck naturally, resting against you like he already belongs there.
“You’re very affectionate today.”
“I always am,” he murmurs against your shoulder.
You let out a quiet laugh. There’s a small, comfortable silence as you hold him, his fingers absentmindedly playing with the fabric of your clothes until he lifts his head and looks at you more seriously.
“I like my teacher.”
That doesn’t surprise you.
“I know,” you answer gently.
But he keeps going. “I’m small…” he pauses, thinking carefully, “but my brother isn’t.”
“Oh, he isn’t?”
“My brother is big,” he says with a nod. “He’s tall… and handsome.”
You can’t help but smile a little. “Is he?”
“Yes,” he says more firmly this time. “And he takes care of me a lot. He’s always with me.”
Something about that softens your expression without you realizing it.
“Then he’s a good brother.”
“He’s the best,” he says quickly, then looks at you again like he’s just decided something. “He’s going to like you.”
“What do you mean?”
“You,” he says simply. “You’re pretty.”
You don’t answer right away, you just smile a little. “Thank you.”
He nods, satisfied, and then adds without any hesitation, “Let’s be a family, teacher.”
You go still for a second. “A family?”
“Yes,” he says, completely serious. There’s a small pause before he adds, “Don’t you want to marry my brother?”
And right then, you hear footsteps.
You lift your gaze and see him.
Sungho is standing there, a few steps away. He clearly hadn’t meant to interrupt, but he hadn’t been able to ignore it either.
He heard everything. It shows in the way he pauses just a second too long, in the brief blink as if he’s processing it all at once, and then in the faint color rising to his face. It’s not dramatic, but it’s there, and he can’t really hide it.
He steps closer, running a hand over the back of his neck like he needs something to do with the awkwardness. “Sorry about that,” he says quietly. His voice is calm, but there’s a slight tension underneath. “He says things without thinking sometimes.”
He doesn’t look at you right away when he says it, but when he finally does, he lingers just a little too long, his eyes fixed on you as if he’s trying to read your reaction. That’s what gives him away more than anything.
“It’s okay,” you reply naturally, smiling just a little, because he does look… kind of cute like that, composed but clearly a bit flustered.
The little one shifts in your arms. “I told you,” he says proudly, looking at Sungho. “She’s pretty.”
Sungho closes his eyes for a brief second, like he needs to collect himself. “Alright,” he says under his breath as he steps closer, “let’s go.”
You lean down to put the child back on the ground, but he doesn’t let go immediately, his arms lingering around your neck for just a second longer before finally pulling away.
“Bye, teacher.”
“Bye,” you say with a soft smile.
Sungho takes his hand, but he doesn’t leave right away. He stays there for a moment, with you.
“Thank you for taking care of him,” he says.
You nod. “He’s a good kid.”
There’s a small pause before you add, “And cute.”
Sungho nods. “I know.”
But he still doesn’t move immediately. His eyes return to you, calmer now, but just as attentive, like he hasn’t quite stepped out of the moment yet.
And you notice.
It’s not uncomfortable.
Just… clear.
Eventually, he turns and starts walking, the little one already talking again beside him, repeating things about you, about tomorrow, about coming back. Sungho responds here and there, but he’s not fully there.
Because he’s still thinking about the same thing.
About how easy it was to keep looking at you, how natural all of that sounded.
And how, without really meaning to…
he’s already considering picking him up more often.
Summary: You once told Sungho his crop tops didn’t affect you at all. Unfortunately for you, he walks in while you’re watching edits of him wearing one and now he’s very curious about that lie.
You were sitting on the couch, absentmindedly scrolling through your phone.
Then he appeared.
A short clip of Sungho on stage wearing a crop t-shirt that lifted slightly when he raised his arms. It passed quickly, but another video showed up right after… and then another.
You watched a little longer than you meant to.
“Did you hear me?”
His voice came from somewhere in the house, but you didn’t really pay attention. You kept scrolling, watching another clip where he turned on stage and the fabric lifted again.
“Hello?”
No answer.
Until suddenly his voice came from much closer.
“What are you watching?”
You almost jumped.
Sungho was standing right behind the couch, leaning slightly over you.
You immediately locked your phone and flipped it face down on your lap.
“Nothing.”
Sungho raised an eyebrow.
“Nothing?”
“Just videos.”
“Of what?”
“Just… stuff.”
He watched you for a moment, clearly unconvinced.
“I called you twice.”
“I didn’t hear you.”
“Mm.”
The silence lasted barely a second before Sungho walked around the couch and sat beside you. His eyes went straight to the phone still resting face down.
“Was it me?”
Heat rushed to your face.
“No.”
“Then let me see.”
He reached for the phone, but you grabbed it first.
“That’s not necessary.”
Sungho let out a small laugh under his breath, like he had already figured something out.
“That’s funny,” he said, leaning back. “Because you swore it didn’t affect you when I wear crop tops.”
You didn’t answer.
Sungho turned his head toward you, that calm expression on his face he always had when he already knew the answer.
“So you lied?”
“I didn’t lie.”
“Then show me the video.”
You pressed the phone tighter against your legs.
Sungho watched you for a few seconds before leaning slightly closer.
“You know what the worst part is?” he said quietly.
“What?”
“Now I’m curious.”
He stood up from the couch without saying anything else.
You frowned.
“Where are you going?”
Sungho was already walking toward the hallway.
“To change.”
“What?”
He paused for a moment before disappearing around the corner.
“If it distracts you that much online…” he said with a small smile, “maybe I should wear it more often at home.”
And somehow, that was even more embarrassing than the video.

Has anyone else been feeling sad lately, or is it just me? I want to believe it's just me. The guys did really well at today's festival, and I really liked the music video too. Please support them!!🥹
These days I've been thinking about taking a short break from the account. I'll post things that are already scheduled, but after that... I'm not sure.
I hope everyone here likes what I'll be posting. I haven't been happy with my posts lately. I want to believe it's just my anxiety and me struggling, because I love to write and I don't want to stop.
Anyway, I hope you're all doing well. I'll be less active, but I'll still try to upload something I'm happy with. If you have any questions, feel free to write to me, and if you'd like any advice, that's fine too, byee!🤍
Warnings: soft intimacy, kissing, romantic tension, close physical proximity, interruption
Summary: A quiet afternoon, a shared couch, and a closeness that slowly becomes impossible to ignore.
You’re on the couch, talking about anything while waiting for the food to arrive. You laugh between silly questions and answers that last a little too long. You don’t notice when it happens.
First, Jaehyun stretches his arm along the back of the couch, taking up the space like it’s nothing. He keeps listening to you, nodding, smiling. After a few minutes, he bends his arm, rests his elbow, and props his head on his hand, watching you as you talk.
You don’t realize how close he is until you feel it.
His eyes are intense, attentive, fixed on you. Too much. You get a little nervous, but you keep talking. Then, with that same hand, he gently pulls you toward him.
You’re so close you can feel his breath brushing against your skin. Your heart speeds up. You turn your face away, pretending to focus on the turned-off TV, your cheeks burning.
Jaehyun lets out a low chuckle.
You don’t say anything. You smile nervously, still not looking at him.
He leans in and starts kissing your ear, slow, like he’s enjoying every reaction you give him. With his other hand, he takes yours, threading his fingers with care while his kisses move down to your cheek.
“I’m proud of you,” he murmurs. “You did a lot today.”
He doesn’t stop kissing you. Cheek. Jaw. Neck.
“Where did you come from?” he says against your skin.
“Ah… wait,” you manage to say, barely audible.
He smiles.
“You. Someone so incredible and genuine?”
His lips slowly rise to yours. At first, it’s a soft, short kiss, like he’s testing it. Then another, a little longer. His hand tightens slightly around yours, keeping you close as he kisses you calmly, without rushing.
He pulls back just enough to murmur against your lips,
“You make it hard for me to think.”
And then he kisses you again.
The doorbell rings.
You both startle. You pull away slowly, placing your hands on his chest to create some distance. Jaehyun lets out a frustrated sigh and falls back against the couch, resting his head on his hand.
You stand up, fixing your hair, wiping your lips shyly before heading to the door.
As you walk away, you can feel his gaze burning into your back.
