Rangi sprinted across the campus to “accidentally” bump into Kyoshi just to give her her jacket because Jinpa texted Rangi that Kyoshi is freezing in class without a jacket

(Don’t ask me how Kyoshi is cold in a turtleneck and a sweater, she just is The Perpetually Cold Gf)

The Secret between Summer and Winter

Based on an obscure reference to a little fanfic (spoilers) that unwittingly send me down a rabbithole. Needless to say a Vichaar Adept Headband isn't a thing and don't trust new age etsy sellers telling you otherwise.

this is kinda messy and I didn't even finish rangshi version like I planned, but here's my late submission for @atlasapphicweek day six: vampires, with Hei-ran and Atuat

one conversation leads to a slightly drunk and crushing Korra on stage at open-mic night

It was Lin’s day off and for once, she didn’t go to work anyway to catch up on some case or another. Instead, she was on her way to one of Republic City’s best restaurants, wearing her best suit. For some reason, she was still nervous even though this was far from her first date with Kya. Somehow, this was scarier than anything she had ever faced at work. But then she reached the restaurant and all of her thoughts just stopped. Kya was already there and looked just as beautiful as always, wearing a stunning dress and smiling brightly.

Azula was in the middle of another breakdown, sobbing and terrified, and she was absolutely convinced that no one could ever love her and that she didn’t deserve even the smallest shred of affection. But for some reason she couldn’t understand, Ty Lee was still there, holding her close and telling her she loved her. She was insistent enough that Azula started to believe her, even if she had no idea why. So she asked, and Ty Lee answered her. The list was so long that it made Azula’s head spin, but it did break through Azula’s walls of denial.

Kyoshi gave Rangi just enough time to nod once, then she picked her up and ran. People were shouting after them, some of them even gave chase, but Kyoshi ignored them all and ran as fast as her legs would carry her, even using her bending for an extra boost. She would have stood her ground and fought, even against such terrible odds, but Rangi was hurt and that was her main priority, even when she was so close to taking down an entire criminal gang. Her work could wait, that bleeding cut on the back of Rangi’s head couldn’t.

Republic City was drenched in crime and Korra was the only one who could do anything about it. By night, she went by the codename “Avatar” and did everything she could to bring the crime rate down. The only reason she could do anything like that was that she had Asami to help her and build her all the gadgets she needed. When things got particularly dire, Asami even put on her own supersuit and accompanied Korra as her sidekick, often fighting even better than her and always having her back. It was dangerous, but it was also extremely fun.

Azula needed blood, and she needed it fast. She had been so caught up in her studies that she completely forgot to eat all day, and now the world was spinning and she could barely stand up. The only reason that wasn’t an issue was because Ty Lee was visiting. She had been a bit squeamish at first but quickly got used to mild bloodloss and fangs in her neck. By now, she almost enjoyed it when Azula bit her, and didn’t mind giving some of her blood one bit. Azula took it gladly because her blood tasted the best.

Korra always ran pretty hot so she didn’t usually need a jacket, but she still liked to wear one, for one reason and one reason only. She wore it when she left the house, but never much longer than that, because just like clockwork, Asami would complain about the cold and Korra would gladly hand over her coat. It didn’t fit quite right but that just made it look even hotter, so much so that Korra tripped over her own feet more than once because she was too busy staring to look at her feet. Luckily, Asami always caught her.

There was one ghost Azula never minded quite as much as the others. Most of them just screamed at her and said horrible things, but Ty Lee was different. She still got mean sometimes but usually, she was almost nice. Their conversations weren’t the most mentally challenging, but they were fun, and sometimes that was even better. Ty Lee liked to tell countless jokes that always ended up being thinly veiled compliments to Azula, just like the real Ty Lee had. Sometimes, during particularly dark nights, she even told Azula that she loved her, and Azula always said it back.
