cutieful stuff!!

Okay we have A LOT of notes:

Eyes:

Dreea's eyes are in every illustration to show her influence and pain (also to illustrate the curse on house Harasaeon)

Dreea's eyes also match Turisha's Kaunakes (Sumerian fleece-like robes) to illustrate her connection to the Harasaeons, but also can't forget that Turisha's actual name is Isha ll

Dreea's eyes mostly show pain, but we note the red sclera to show more anger at some points (note dreea's eyes with red sclera looking at hammari and isenia through the coils of Echis' body)

Sayna's eyes in the third illustration are basically to reflect her emotions on the day her tongue was cut: from begging Hammari to the hopelessness, because she knows that Hammari is doomed, and so is Rin (do not go north)

Isenia:

her shirt gets darker- from light olive green to a darker one to show her journey (note this for nate)

she keeps that single braid in her hair all throughout her life- maybe to remember nathairan? but also to show that she does not completely lose the fear of her childhood

stag antlers never on her head until her death = birth of the stag hunt

the red ray of divinity stabbing her (Harasaeons ruining her life), but also a sign of her own divinity

holding the lamb = nathairan, but also later she holds hammari = she must kill the lamb

Turisha-Hammari-Herines:

Hammari is wearing Turisha's kaunakes, as well as strands of her and papa's hair around her wrist

When Hammari is older, her kaunakes includes green for Echis (and blue because i liked the colour)

the rays of divinity around each Harasaeon are red and almost threatening to show that while they are favoured by dreea, they are also a cursed house (the rays of divinity around herines are replaced by knives due to the nature of his curse)

The crown is big on hammari, but it also blinds herines (maybe crown = family which is so big and blinding for these two specifically)

hammari has a very red lip in her illustration to represent sayna's blood on her lips (if i don't slide in saymari somehwere then it isn't me)

Nate:

three-eyed raven moment ala got because ofc (also because nathairan of kroi is thought of more as a monster and a saviour)

nate has a green shirt like isenia, but his is dark mint; mint is a lighter green than olive = while his shirt is a darker shade of mint, the fact that his shirt IS mint means that there is actually hope for him in the future

the burning house; no rays of divinity for herines or nate = "divinity abandoned this place a long time ago"

herines is the faceless villain at the bottom of the page instead of looming over nate = nate making himself the monster to save his people (mirroring isenia choking hammari in image 2)
