Willowpaw was the smart, cool, and perfect medicine cat apprentice who visited Leafpool/Thunderclan often, and Hollypaw idealized her. "She's so smart and perfect at being a medicine cat. I wish I was her" became "I must have a crush on her since I obsess over her so much" and became the start of Hollyleaf's unhealthy relationships with her self esteem and other people.

Cinderheart was very much the same, a cool older girl that had everything going for her, and that everybody liked. "Cinderpaw is so talented and is able to work through her struggles..." became "I must like Cinderpaw because I obsess over her so much" mostly because Cinderheart is able to work through her mental struggles after her leg and Hollyleaf desperately wishes she could handle her mental health the same way Cinderheart does.

Fallen Leaves is the only cat Hollyleaf knows cannot leave her. Hollyleaf is the only cat Fallen Leaves knows cannot leave him. They are hopelessly dependant on each other, enabling each other's feelings of inadequacy and self-loathing. "You can't go back to ThunderClan, they'll hate you for what you've done" "You can't leave me alone in here or move on, your ancestors don't want you" Hollyleaf is finally able to tear herself away after moons of wallowing in self-hatred, and rejoins ThunderClan.

The Bad Kids!! I just finished Sophmore Year and it has such a hold on me. I adore them all so much.
