My latin course for 3 years was technically the first year latin uni course. Good to know my english is now known as college level as well... my second best course behind music.
I'm sure if I try hard enough I'll stop having ADHD (guess I'll never learn). 39 Days until book release! Pre-order here or everywhere where books are sold!
In my opinion, wondering whether or not you’re a good person or a bad person isn’t really a constructive or useful activity.
You’re too close to yourself to make that kind of judgement. You’re not really qualified to judge the exterior of a house that you’re always standing inside of.
Anyways since I’ve switched to the mindset of “I’m just gonna keep trying and not try to pass final judgement on myself because that’s above my pay grade” I have unsurprisingly had way less nights sobbing on the floor convinced that I’m a terrible irredeemable piece of human garbage.
Am I good? Am I bad? Not my business. I’m just gonna keep trying to do better and let the cards fall where they may.
Literally me talking to a spirit using an ouija board.

you can make nearly any object into a good insult if you put ‘you absolute’ in front of it
example: you absolute coat hanger
as well u can just add ‘ed’ to any object and it’s sounds like you were really drunk
example: i was absolutely coat hangered last night
#i was gazeboed mate #i was absolutely baubled
Meanwhile, “utter” works for the first (e.g., “you utter floorboard”) but somehow “utterly” doesn’t seem to work as well for the second (“I was utterly floorboarded”).
Utterly doesn’t work for drunk because it’s the affix for turning random objects into terms for *shocked*, obviously.
… huh. I thought that might just be the similarity to “floored”, and yet “I was utterly coat hangered” does seem to convey something similar.
I have to tell you, I am utterly sandwiched at this discovery.
Completely makes the phrase mean “super tired”.
“God, it’s been a long week, I am completely coat-hangered.”
Something is
Something is wrong with our language
Is it a glitch or a feature?

In an effort to explain why those with psychosis “hear voices,” a Yale team enlisted help from psychics who hear voices but are not diagnose
One of the delusions that I had was that the mafia was coming after me, the quebec mafia. I was told that they knew that i was a telepath, and that they were on the look out for me. I was scared for sure, but more importantly I trusted the voices, and sure it made me acts as paranoid as I felt, but the voices kept reassuring me that I was safe.
if muscles can have memory can they have flashbacks
or other types of intrusive memory events?
It was summer 2021, when I did my last cartwheel. I was in a park, it was night time, my music playlist was hitting all the right buttons, and I wanted to see if my body could still do one.
I could. I could do quite a few.
Please, if you are a millennial, try and do the things that interested you as a teen, and pre-teen. Your skills are still there. I can promise you that. Rusty but there.
got clocked at 11 in the morning
People think I am so good with small talk, that I actually made my therapist laugh when she asked how I liked my volunteer work. I smiled and explained how much I love doing the dishes, but I couldn't serve the people. And she was all, “you'll get there with your confidence,” and think I dead eyed her and went, “it's not my confidence, I just cannot stand the stupidity of small talk, of learning about another person, I just can't.” She laughed out loud so excuse me while I ride that high for a few days.
Something that I am learning, is that my intensity should never be less than at simmer. If my brilliance blinds you, that is a you problem. Don't settle for small talk when you want to talk about philosophical psychology. Don't cut and mutilate yourself because your interests cover more topics than what a neurotypical can maintain.
Just because I am a jack of all trades, doesn't mean I need to wear different hats. I needed to consolidate my interests and passions one day, and I found that there is one topic that I focus on, psychology. So I am learning quantum mechanics, let's say, I am doing that to grow the foundation of conceptual thinking that is required to help people in touch places in their life.
You don't belong because you keep changing masks, instead of finding your own face. You are so used to making things easier that when you are expected to be yourself, you are not authoritative in your own life to call upon the true personality of yourself.
Stop being what the room needs.
I know it is hard, but being that accessible is a sign of poor boundaries, sure you have multiple hats, but just like your irl hat collection, you can't wear them all, especially at a social event. So I do suggest that you find the common denominator to your hyperfocus projects. Besides yourself, what do these have in common, what is the bigger picture that you are filling out. Once you figure out the big hat, you don't feel the need to wear the others as often. When you are confident in your intellect, you don't change to fit the room, you end up controlling the room passively because you are that charismatic, allowing your passion to be eloquently articulated across an audience.
Once you realise you are already what the room needs, quality of life becomes better.

My friend and I have come up with ways to make cleaning more fun:
Dress up as a pirate and pretend you're cleaning the ship while plotting to maroon the captain *best if listening to sea shanties too*
Listen to folksy music (harpyhare) and pretend you must fix this mess so Smaug doesn't kill you
Put on your most 50s looking outfit and pretend you are a spy in deep cover in the 50s and you gotta clean up a crime scene before your spouse gets home
Put on your most farm boy clothes and pretend you've got to clean the house before ma and pa come home
Did I just employ the "Treat Them Like You are A Kindergarten Teacher Again" method with my insurance company today? I surely did. Did it work? Probably better than intended because I made an actual doctor feel contrite.
So, my insurance has been trying to not cover my SNRI because it is new on the market and no generic available yet, so pricey.
I apply for a refill and the request gets locked for review. Again. For the 3rd time.
This time I call and immediately ask to speak to the actual doctor making these clinical decisions. Very politely. Must be a slow day because they allow it.
ME: [Teacher voice] I'm calling in regards to the SNRI you have placed a lock on. Why was this decision made?
DOC: Well, there are dozens of other medications on the market in that tier, and far cheaper for you and [insurer]. We have sent a request to your doctor to consider alternatives.
ME: I am aware of that. So, can you do me a HUGE favor and look up my prescription history really quickly and tell me how many SSRIs and SNRIs were only filled once in 2022 for me, showing they were poorly tolerated?
DOC: It looks like eight.
ME: Great job! Now, can you please look at my genetic test for psychiatric drug tolerance and tell me how many medications are listed in the safe category?
DOC: Two.
ME: Awesome! Now, can you tell me what type that other drug is that I'm not taking?
DOC: Yeah, totally, it's an MAOI.
ME: That's correct, you're really knowledgeable! Should I be taking something as dangerous as an MAOI with my other medications, or even just in general?
DOC: It's contraindicated for sure.
ME: It is! So true! So, last question since you've been incredibly smart and helpful. Is it less expensive for [insurer] to pay out for the medication knowing they already get a huge manufacturer discount anyway, or is it more expensive for them to pay for me to need potentially long-term inpatient psychiatric care?
DOC: I'll clear the code, ma'am and flag it as medically necessary. I'm sorry about this.
ME: I appreciate you SO MUCH. You have a great day now.
WALGREENS PHARMACY TECH WITH 5 NOSE RINGS AND PURPLE HAIR STARING AT ME: ........... OKAY! It'll be ready in five minutes. You wanna come work here?
