morrigan friendship is so precious to me. she's never had a friend because there was only ever flemeth and the few other people she interacted with were not people she was supposed to be friends with. but also the fact that she by her own admission doesnt know how these things were (again, because flemeth didnt socialize her and gave her some pretty. fucked up views on people), and she is someone who is an outcast to society, both because of her living in a swamp away from civilization but also we see how other people treat her. and now she does have someone who does care about her and her feelings and is willing to fight flemeth to get her the tome simply because morrigan asked them to do it and they're her friend. and it reminds me of one of the gifts you give morrigan where she's like why did you do it and i think the warden also says something about you're my friend or whatever and morrigan replies with something like you say as if its so simple but ive never been given a gift before. morrigan getting to experience this type of care and affection that is genuine and doesnt come with a thousand strings attached, where she's not expected to give something back. and then also the Pain that she knows what is coming - that they might have to die to kill the archdemon and that she was sent with them to get the old god soul. i think A Lot about the face morrigan makes when you call her a friend at some point in the third half of the game and idr what she says but it kinda implies that this friendship might end in the future and i do think she is talking about the dark ritual. she Knows that the dark ritual might be the reason she loses the first friend she's ever had, but now its worse because she also doesnt want them to die. it would be easier if they werent friends and yet.
