I live in the Portland Metro Area, Hillsboro specifically, we actually have the Nike Headquarters, which if i remember correctly is one of the Greenest Companies in terms of Pollution output, Intel Headquarters is also up here, Also during the Summer we get a Farmers Market every Saturday Also used to live in Astoria, Oregon which sadly had a Comic Book Shop that had The Goonies Merch as the movie was shot in Astoria, as well as Kindergarden Cop was shot in the Elementary School as well, outside of that there’s also an old Navel Base that was converted into a Job Corp Center that has the only Seamanship Program in the entire US

This is EXACTLY like working in Retail there are way too many self-entitled people that have never worked it and treat Retail people like they’re lower then themselves, But those that have worked retail know it and don’t do so, As someone working at a gas station I can side with the guy way too well, the whole “The Customer is Always Right” Is bullshit and needs to go away. There are gonna be those assholes but the Cool ones are who I like it to help more cause they’re not like the old lady that is absolutely rediculous who walk into the store and walk around pass the isle they’re looking for and come up to the counter when I’m helping someone else with their purchases asking for help interupting me and the other customer and going “Where’s your <Item>?” and then getting mad that I am not on top of what they want at that very moment cause I’m finishing up one other task 

you learn a lot about the human race once you become a cashier somewhere

You do learn a lot about Humanity...then you slowly grow to hate people....and then return home and talk to people on the internet and start a vicious cycle of love and hate of people
