Lucanis and rook watching a sunset in Treviso. I wanted to capture something softer, reflecting the quieter romance while still acknowledging the bit of mutual pining present in a Rookanis relationship.

I always miss out on @dragon-age-met-gala 🫠 , so I decided to whip up something real quick. Because of the timing, I kept the designs simple. For rook, her wings are inspired by the iconic Christian Dior gold wing cape. For Lucanis I thought it’d be real sweet if Lucanis’s corvid cloak evolved to include stitching inspired by Rook’s motif, like Minrathous symbolism and dove imagery..... I didn’t have time to design that part, but if you can do me a favor and just imagine it that'd be dope.

Rook and Lucanis enjoying their well deserved rest after the end of Veilguard. I bet those post battle naps hit so good. I've had a few rush clients as of recent, so I haven't been able to draw my blorbos as much T _ T, but I'm determined to churn when I get some free time 😤

Rookanis week day 3 / Warmth / Touch Hello! Throwing in a last minute Joe Bowler study for @rookanis-week! I like to think Rook and Lucanis’s love language is touch, and that they indulge in it often. If you squint really hard, you can maybe see Spite’s wings~

It means a lot that it’s being recognised...and kinda accepted??. So much so that last year clients started asking for that style instead of my fantasy work. I’ve been using it more for bookish clients, so if you spot it in the wild, you’ll know where it all began.🥹 There's a big ballroom one coming too. (above pieces for "The Poisoner" by Ophelia, the right ones are for Quicksilver Callie hart (Lilac Library ed) Last artist POV: I used to think you had to look a certain way to fit into the market, but I’m learning now that you can also carve out where you fit (or tell the market what it can look like), which is something I hadn’t considered before. I guess a word of comfort for a past me.

Happy New Year! I realized I never painted my Rook's actual gear and it's just been ballgowns 😅. I have a few rookanis collabs, comms in mind for this year...and a potential commission request from a Veilguard voice actor?!? We'll see if it comes to fruition (it might not, but it'd be dope!).
