Lucanis and rook watching a sunset in Treviso. I wanted to capture something softer, reflecting the quieter romance while still acknowledging the bit of mutual pining present in a Rookanis relationship.

Haha thank you kindly! ✨ I'm not sure I'm peak yet, but I appreciate the words! I'd also be remiss if I didn't share one of the biggest lessons I've learned on this art journey… and it's that it's so much more rewarding to develop ones own unique voice as opposed to trying to be another. It's something I've been realizing more recently as I've taken the time to develop a style. I used to think that if I looked like other artists, I'd be more accepted, but I've been delighted to find that who I am works just as well too... as you've so kindly put in your comment! So learn the foundations: perspective, anatomy, colour theory, forms, all that jazz, and do the master studies (john singer sargent, leyendecker etc). And I promise, when you find all your favourite things in art that bring you joy, you might just surprise yourself with who you are too. ❤️ p.s. if you anyone has any specific art questions id be happy to answer them too!

I'm flattered, and I'm glad I can provide some Lucanis brainrot, but don't forget to study directly from the sources ~ the great masters themselves, i.e. John Singer Sargent, Leyendecker, Rockwell, Mucha, etc. You'd be drawing from a much deeper well (and building stronger foundations), and they're the artists I'm directly studying from too!

I always miss out on @dragon-age-met-gala 🫠 , so I decided to whip up something real quick. Because of the timing, I kept the designs simple. For rook, her wings are inspired by the iconic Christian Dior gold wing cape. For Lucanis I thought it’d be real sweet if Lucanis’s corvid cloak evolved to include stitching inspired by Rook’s motif, like Minrathous symbolism and dove imagery..... I didn’t have time to design that part, but if you can do me a favor and just imagine it that'd be dope.

Rook and Lucanis enjoying their well deserved rest after the end of Veilguard. I bet those post battle naps hit so good. I've had a few rush clients as of recent, so I haven't been able to draw my blorbos as much T _ T, but I'm determined to churn when I get some free time 😤
