That Eumaeus is actually from royal blood and was taken away from his parents from a young age and sold as a salve to Odysseus father. Odysseus’s mother took a liking to him and raised him alongside Ctimene until she was married off and Eumaeus given the position of swinherd.

Last book: A Girl Named Anna by Lizzy Barber. Pretty good!

Last movie: Wicked. Pretty good, WAY too long. And the Ariana/Ethan Slater affair drama did sour it a bit for me. when Ethan first debuted in the SpongeBob Musical, I was a huge fan of the show and admittedly was obsessed with him. The little high schooler in me is still reaping from the heartbreak of him turning out to be a scumbag. His ex wife and kid deserve the best ❤️ Only stanning fictional men from now on, lesson learned.

Last game: Bananagrams 🤣, but in terms of video games, I’ve been revisiting Super Mario Bros DS.

Last TV show: I’m almost strictly a YouTube Girl. I think the last series I finished was the Netflix Docudrama about the Menendez Brothers. I don’t think I’d recommend it—the documentary (also on Netflix) is much better.

Last song on Spotify: uh I don’t use Spotify but I’ve been singing and listening to Olivia Ong’s “You and Me”. I love soft and gentle songs and she has a soothing and sweet voice. This is one of my main inspirations for my coming SMB Valentine’s stories (hint hint to those who have read my birthday post prior)

Last Book: Im always on the lookout for good quality children’s books for my son and my preschoolers and there’s something fascinating in the language they use to impart lessons. The last book I read with my son is called “Love in the Library”. It tells the story of a couple falling in love in a very unlikely place: a war relocation camp in Minidoka. Rama and George bond over reading books and how they comfort each other in a place that stripped them of their dignity and identity.

Last Movie: Lightyear, the Pixar movie. I was a bit skeptical about the premise but it grew on me. I focused on the lessons it taught me and my son. It helps that Sox is probably the best part of the film as my son is so endeared to him. So much so that I bought the toy version of him for his upcoming birthday.

Last Game: Mario and Luigi: Brothership. Being that this is my first game in the Mario and Luigi series, it honestly helped to remember why I enjoyed playing console games and this is one of the best games I played in terms of endearing to Mario and Luigi’s sweet bond as brothers and getting invested in their newest journey together. It’s also significant as it’s my son’s first video game and I’m helping him with his own playthrough.

Last TV Show: uh…it’s been a long time as I tend to watch YouTube and indulge in Disney plus.
