These abstract paintings were the outcomes of my experiments with Liquitex pouring medium mixed with my acrylic paint and a cup. As you can see the top photos are of the early stages of the mixing and I thought it looked lovely. I added more paint however and that lead to the lumps of paint. Before I added more paint that equalled the lumps I was hoping to experiment with fluid art. The blue abstract was due to the same idea and experiments. I prefer the red paintings. In my opinion, I like the lumps of paint I learnt from all these experiment.
New art stuff!!! Receiving new art supplies always makes me happy, it makes my day these new pieces were for an abstract experiment which I’ll post later.
All these flowers were created with acrylic paint and I moved them around to get only a partial view of the flower as I think it makes it more interesting. Acrylic paint is my weapon of choice, I love working with acrylic I like the way the colours mood together and create depth and shades to the flowers. I prefer the smaller flower at the top as I think the brighter colours against the dark background brings the flower out more adding depth. The larger, lower flower cane put well but there are areas on which to improve.
I did these flowers in a few different mediums. The mess on my hands and the big quarter of a sunflower were made with coloured chalks, the orange flower was created with prismacolour pencils and lastly, the blue flower was created with oil pastels. The chalk sunflower and messy hand was fun to create like all of them, I wanted to play around with composition of the petals and the seeds in the middle. The coloured chalks were easy to work with and blend. I don’t mind getting messy! I enjoy the mess, I find it makes creating art all the more fun. The orange flower I made with my prismacolour pencils were easy to work with and easy to help make the petals stand out overlapping as they would when growing from the grow, shading with these pencils are brilliant! The bright green stem and leaf were also created with my prismacolour pencils and I loved having the range of shades on the leaves giving the flower more depth. The oil pastels were harder for me to work with, I’ve never found working with oil pastels easy but I thought that if I worked with them more then I could grow to them so I’m gradually working more with them.

These pencil pastels are AMAZING!! I love working with them. They work so well together while layering the colours to help with the shading and making the flower more alive. I enjoyed creating this flower.
I received new chalks and was desperate to try them out and what else did I want to draw but a flower and this is the outcome! I wanted to try something a little different and I thought layering and the two halves placed slightly off centre of each other worked well.
Another page of flower sketches! As you can see I started with fine liners and then went on to add colour bringing the flowers more to life, I added colour using prismacolour pencils. I did use secondary images as a base line for the flowers but I changed little things such as the shape of the petals and the overlapping of them.
This ones a bit random but I like the whole half and half with feet, the ballet side of it. I created this from a secondary picture from Pinterest but I changed it a bit to make it my own and I made it with prismacolour pencils which are amazing to draw with! As well as using fine liners for the outline and to help deepen the shading.
A quick rose I did a couple months ago, I love working with fine liners I find them easy to work with and great for shading!! They’re also easy to carry in your bag for sketching while out and about!

Trying out different roses for a comission and working on rough experiments with colors🖍🖌 I love drawing/painting/printing flowers you name it! 😊Think I'm going to start drawing more!🖌👩🏼🎨 This time I used prismascolor pencils and i LOVE them!! They're brilliant!! Honestly, the colors are amazing and build up well! I recommend prisma color pencil!!!!
Working on my other comisson, i thought id get the base color down. Love working with blue! This comisson for a rose with a lighter background. I used acrylic paint for this and I cant wait to start to start gwtting messy again!!!!
My first bird sketch for one of my comission's, i wanted to try and get the shape of the bird, the colour and the composition of the bird - i'm going to try different birds and their shapes - I also want to make it write when i paint on the final piece - plus experimenting is always fun! - I think its ok for a first go!! #bird #birds #birdsketch #birdsketching #fineart #fineliner #finelinerart #finelinerdrawing #blackandwhite #blackandwhitebird #art #artist #artists #artistsoninstagram #artworks #artwork #artexperiment
Both of these were experiment's I painted them in a different way. The painting on the left is from a secondary image i found online. I used a stippling effect to create more texture in the sand. The painting on the right i used nothing but the stippling effect to make it. I only blended with water and more stippling In my opinion, i like the painting on the left more, i like the colors and the outcome. Both were made with acrylic paint. Both taught me about composition, color, creating texture and what i could improve on.
This abstract cityscape was for another project back in college. I wanted to see if i could capture both sides of a city the warm bright side and the cold and dark side. All cities have this! I used acrylic paint for the buildings and then added wire with built up tissue paper then painted on top it. I thought this would show the fenced side of a city but ithink bith are fenced in a way. I enjoyed doing this experiment i got messy! I also like the colors, this experiment helped show what i could do, what i needed to change and what i needed to improve

I was looking at man made objects for an art project back in college, I found this rusty chain and I thought it was so interesting and it appealed to me. I used 3 different mediums:acrylic, fine liners and watercolour. You can see some or betters than others.
This experiment was helpful for working on my skills. I prefer the fine liner and watercolour experiment, this is because I could presented the light better. I think that experimenting before doing the actual piece is important. This is because you can see what needs to change, the composition, what needs to be improved and it can also help show which medium is best for you and your piece. However, saying that I have been known to skil the prep part and go t\straight to creating the piece which isn’t always bad
I went on a frenzy and drew a load of flowers using fine liners and colour pencils. I love flowers, always have. I find them beautiful and so unique even though they’re from the same family.
I’d place the flowers on the page to make sure I could get the best result then using fine liners I started. Once I’d finished sketching the flower I’d add the colour. I think that the Colorado makes the flowers happier and more exciting.
