The problem with 'PadmĂŠ not despising Anakin for the Tuskan Massacre/reporting him to the scops (space cops), etc is out of character' is that PadmĂŠ also asks Anakin to run away with her after finding out what he did to the Jedi. She's consistent with the idea that Anakin is not defined by his worst deeds and that he can be saved.
I think it's more rewarding to think about how and why PadmĂŠ thinks that than dismissing it as out of character and that Queen Amidala is her whole characterisation.

It's fascinating how many analogs the Dungeon has for the Eulogist: Soul Crystals are the most obvious (collecting and storing the souls of the dead to power things), but the Ring of Divine Suffering works similarly too (capturing the "essence" of someone and making that part of you), and the Scavenger's Kiss (capturing the essence of the dead to power an attack)
It's also very interesting that all of these are considered corrupting/corruptible (Soul Crystals can overload, the ring can make you sick in a way you can't heal from, Scavenger's Kiss has escalating poisoning effects etc etc)
Especially when you turn the comparison back around and look at the Eulogist from the perspective of what the Syndicate has been putting into it for 20,000 years
How overloaded is the Eulogist with dead Crawlers, how close is it to exploding? What's the soul poisoning like when you're full up on what, 80 billionish Crawler souls? The Eulogist was meant to shrink into singularity over time but it's been bloated to bursting by the Syndicate shoving entire planets of the dead into it, regularly!
At this point I'm convinced that Carl's Doomsday Scenario isn't the bomb in his inventory, it's the Eulogist. You know, the thing sitting in the dead middle of Syndicate territory, where members of the Syndicate (who can afford to) are going to run as Dungeon Gods start appearing and creating havoc?
Wonder if the AI can't get into the center system then or it it's making a big ol' trap.
Anyway I think the Syndicate has been feeding into a system for countless generations that is going to backfire spectacularly

i think one of my personal favorite aspects of the dungeon crawler carl series is watching Carl, a cishet dude, avoid any sexual or romantic subplots with the deftness of a trained aroace.
