In my opinion, they where sisters, officer. Silena fulfilled older sister duties while Thalia was tree/was off being a hunter of Artemis. Silena was the one who taught her about girly stuff, was her confidant and advisor in boy troubles. She (and probably Clarisse) was there for her when Annabeth went through hell when Percy and Rachel grew closer and spend so much time together.

I think her relationship with Silena is why Aphrodite initially took notice in Annabeth and almost started to treat maternaly after Silena's death.

P. S This is more of a headcanon, but Piper sometimes felt jealous of Annabeth because she felt that her mother paid more attention to Annabeth than her.

Mmmmm now (personally I believe that) Annabeth did show up to camp earlier (since Silena is only like 1 or 2 years older and Annabeth showed up wayyy earlier that most demigods). Still it didn't stop her from looking at this young girl who's trying to show her around camp all scuffy and trying to adopt her. She's just so adoptable, look at her

Because Aang it's a certified lover boy who gaved up Cosmic universal power over his devoted love for Katara; and I was infatuated with his puppy love when I first watched ATLA.

Aang made me have a thing for "good boys with pretty faces" 😍 and then my obssesion with blushing shy guys scalated into something else but I won't get into it, don't jugdge me.. 😅

Ahaha ok so clearly the Kaz server chat has broken containment, but I’ll indulge lmaoo

At the risk of being one of the insufferable linzin shippers here are a few;

- Lin and Tenzin started dating as teenagers, a time in which discussing having children isn’t even on the table outside of trying to avoid it. They’re both super practical people so I feel like had they been in their 20s or older they would have realized their differences off the bat and ended the relationship before they fell in love.

- they broke up over having children, that’s not an HC though, Bryke said so in an interview. I think when people hear “growing apart” in the series it sends them off in a different direction but it is still referring to the children issue. Imagine how alienated they were from one another with a huge wedge like that growing between them over time. A lot of built up resentment.

- I think a big reason they stayed together so long was that they literally didn’t know anything else? Aside from loving each other it was just like… ok imma start dating for the first time at 40?!? No thanks. Until Tenzin found out he could succeed at dating at 40, that is 😂

- I think they were a couple that mostly kept to themselves. They always showed up to events as a pair and left as soon as it was polite to do so. I think they were a couple of homebodies who mostly socialized with each other and had acquaintances rather than a friend group. They both preferred it that way.

- Sparring was foreplay.

- They were definitely the couple who wake up at dawn and go for some absurdly long run, eat mostly for fuel and not flavor, making people like Bumi feel like a chud whenever he was home on leave stumbling in drunk from the bars with ramen stains on his shirt at the same hour.

- Aang shipped them harder than anyone. I would imagine that was its own pressure. Toph thought Lin could do better and Katara adored them together but was the first to see they were doomed.

- They bonded a lot over their need to live up to their parents’ legacies and generally just their desire to be a pair of rule following goody two shoes. (Most orderly couple award)

- they are still annoyingly compatible and now that they’re friendlyish again they do find themselves falling into old habits, nothing sexual but definitely have moments where they’re like “ope! That was too familiar 🙅🏻‍♀️ byeeee”

- when they were teenagers they spent more time at Toph’s house than at Air Temple Island because Toph didn’t care what they got up to, but Katara had an open door policy as in: ‘if Lin is in your room keep the door open’

- if Lin had agreed to having children they would still be together, but life on ATI would look a lot different. As it stands now, Tenzin’s life with Pema matches what he envisioned for himself more closely than what he would have gotten with Lin.

- kind of insinuated it above, but they didn’t seriously date anyone else before they dated each other.

- Tenzin made the tentative first move after months of deliberation and anxiety, but Lin made basically every move after that.

- They have enough inside jokes and shared experiences that they can practically talk in code in front of other people.

- The breakup was traumatic for Lin because she lost the only family she was speaking to (Tenzin’s) on top of losing him. I don’t think she knows to this day whether Tenzin physically or emotionally cheated on her, just that at least one of those things happened. Plus she had a public facing job with a lot of interaction with the press. It wasn’t as traumatic for Tenzin at the time, he just compartmentalizrd it and moved on alarmingly fast (also traumatizing for Lin btw) but now that they are friends again he’s having to actually process it for the first time. Katara saw it coming, Kya and Bumi weren’t paying attention, but thought Tenzin was having a midlife crisis and still joke about it. Before there was a “vacation Tenzin” there was a “midlife crisis Tenzin” he just didn’t know about it lol.

- Toph was astounded that Lin was taken by surprise and said something to the effect of: ‘well what did you expect?’ And this is a big factor in why Lin and Toph stopped talking for two decades.

She likes listening to them and identifying various species by their calls and songs, and also watching them frequently enough to distinguish between males and females, and generations of visiting migratory species.

Lin in absolutely not the lonely and bitter woman many like to portray her. After Tenzin broke up with her she indeed had a lot of attention and affection from other man and definitely didn’t complain about her opportunities.

She's also sexually active (before the show, at least) She didn't grow up with so many taboos because Toph also brought different men to the house, although it varies between men and women. Having sex again after Tenzin made her feel good because she liked feeling desired, so she's a bigger tease.

🪲When Lin was a child she had a huge collection of dolls that Lao bought for her; she had them all very well dressed and styled, organized in codes that only she understood.

🪲Toph called her "Little Badger" or "Little Toph" when she was in her womb, she seriously thought it would be a boy so she planned to name him Lao to appease Patriarch Beifong's disapproval. When it turned out to be a girl, Lin was the closest thing she could find to continuing with her initial plan (Lao later clarified that his anger was directed at her, not at his granddaughter).

🪲When Suyin was a baby, Lin took care of her because she reminded her of playing with her dolls; for her, it was no different from a game.

🪲Lin is a huge theater fan thanks to her grandparents, she uses a lot of her free time to go see performances and financially supports many theaters in Ciudad República.

Even while they were estranged Lin managed Toph's money and anything to do with her grandparents' estate and businesses (in a very hands off way- she has entire teams of lawyers for this that give her updates a few times a year or when something significant comes up)

🪙Lin was the one who enrolled Suyin in dance classes in Republic City when Poppy made them dance in Gaoling to "give her a healthy hobby"; it was one of the few things they both enjoyed in common.

🪙She learned to drive boats because Sokka took her to the test of courage after Katara kept bragging that her sons had already done it and he wouldn't let himself be humiliated.

🪙Lin studied at home for several years because Toph was super disorganized when taking her to school or supervising her homework. Besides the fights with teachers.

🪙She really liked trying on adult clothes, especially Toph and Katara's. Once, she got trapped in her mother's armor, and in desperation, she broke the anchors (And eventually that evolved into his ability to put on the suit without touching it.)

🪙She can distinguish the type and quality of fabrics just by looking, just like Suyin; they learned it from Poppy (they spent long periods with them).

🐝lin cannot cook. Like at all. We know she eats a lot of easy high carb foods but i also imagine it being the case of her not being allowed in the kitchen because she's that bad.

🐝 lin can absolutely sing. There's no way you can tell me poppy beifong did not have lin attend singing lessons. Lin doesn't always sing but she's good when she does.

🐝 i have featured this in one of my fics but lin having a vast wardrobe of clothes. More practical everyday, lingerie and nightwear than evening gowns but more than she has been given credit for in the past.

🐝 if we ignore one of my fics 👀 lin doesn't date cops. Reminds her of the closeness she and tenzin had. It's not ideal. Also she's everyone's superior.

🐝 weirdly enough she's allergic to shellfish. Not deathly but it is unpleasant.

🐝okay we can all agree on this one. Lin got the highest physical and written test scores in the police academy, which have yet to be beaten.

🐝other than beef jerky or meat snacks i see lin leaning towards more vegetarian food without realising. Being with tenzin she probably got used to it.

💥 Lao was the one who bought Suyin's land and financed the foundation (later, Suyin contributed the entire town's effort), but he put the deed in his own name for fear of bounty hunters targeting Suyin.

Everything passed to Lin, who was always the Beifong heiress. Lao left everything to her because he knew she could manage it and eventually give it to Suyin. He hoped they would reconcile and knew Lin that even if not, Lin was more fair. He didn't leave it to Toph either, since Lin already managed her finances. When Suyin found out, she almost fainted, and Lin just joked that the number one rule is to build on your own land.

💥 Lin has great artistic taste in all the arts, followed the Beifong patronage and was conflicted for a long time because she was close to her grandparents and didn't despise being a Lady Beifong but pretended to because her mother hated it and she wanted to take Toph's side. Eventually, she gave in and enjoys her surname without remorse, although ironically it is Toph and Suyin who boast about it because of the social benefits.

annabeth spent forever defending him to percy’s immense chagrin. luke, who eventually did make the right decision in the end and it was percy that had to trust he would. annabeth grieving him and being so conflicted about whether or not she can confide in percy about how she feels, feeling guilt at not being able to help him when he came to his house which is even worse when hermes blames her. percy feeling resentment towards luke even though he technically died a hero, seeing annabeth grieve him and wanting to be there for her while dealing with his own complicated feelings. neither of them knowing how to deal with their feelings about him and how to talk about him to each other, luke haunting their relationship from the beginning
