i just reread the dps book and realized that this candle at the beginning of the movie could possibly symbolize neil perry.

the night that neil passes away, the poets go to the cave after the play and it states something along the lines of “they stared at the candle as a symbol of neil” bc is was the candle neil brought to the cave as the cave ‘god’.

Meeks is shy to ask you out due to Charlie's teasing.

In the cave he sets his coat down for you to sit on and the two of you share your coat on cold nights

He still gets shy around you, even months into the relationship.

The first time he got drunk, he threw up and you were forced to take care of him and Knox.

You were sitting on the floor of your room with his head in your lap

Of course, after conversations get deep, he makes a joke

If Sam were to complain about something, Dean would call him sensitive but if you were to complain about it, Dean would try to fix the issue right away

He is extremely protective of you and Sam and feels responsible for both of you

Once during a hunt, a Wendigo had cut your cheek open and Dean spent an hour with you in the motel bathroom taking care of your wound, even after you told him you were fine

He is great at making you feel better

One of his favorite things to do for you is cook

When you two have alone time together in the motels, he tries to find fun recipes to make with you to kill time

Anything he can do to spend time with you, he'll do it
