Alongside Noelle, who by contrast is supposed to be a nice, good Girl who puts others’ feelings first and bites her tongue. But secretly she wants that girl SO bad. She’s having very normal teenage desires that she isn’t Allowed to have because they’re treating her like a glass doll. And that’s not even bringing up her dynamic with Kris, the complex push and pull of wanting to be close and yet feeling like your childhood bond was “forced”. Lesbian deer.

Kris is just… so alloaro, feeling smothered and grossed out by the pressure to be in a relationship with people they otherwise deeply care about (Noelle and Ralsei), immense feelings of guilt and inadequacy, the whole heart-shaped object thing. They want to be close to people but not like that!! But also they’re really good at flirting. They must be heartless. Soulless. You see?

Berdly thinks Noelle has a crush because that’s clearly the only reason someone would want to spend time with him!! And then immediately “falls for” someone who is nice to him and shares an interest in games. And then asks for someone to kiss him back to life only to flee when he might actually be kissed. He has no goddamn clue what attraction is.

My feelings on the matter is that ALL the flowers represent an aspect of Kris in some way. Aqua is just the one people notice first.

Seth = Kris' gender identity (there is a whole Cafe dialog about it)

Yellow = Kris' internalized guilt and love for cowboys (hinted at in easily missable dialog)

Blue - Kris' grace and femininity as well as their love for art (piano)

Green - Kris' penchant for not speaking

Orange = Kris' identity as a human living among monsters (the mouse claiming she is human)

Flowery - Kris' role as both the party leader and foil towards us and the other heros.

Pink = direct analog to Kris' relationship with the Player (us)

With Tumblr starting to roll out age verification, it feels like a good time to bring this up.
