the side A/side B lake scenes in deltarune chapter 5 have such well-executed contrasting visuals. Susie picking Noelle up and carrying her as she walks into the lake so Noelle never touches the water VS Noelle dragging Kris into the lake with her and causing both of them to drown. Susie asking Noelle if she wants her to stop before walking into the lake VS Noelle pulling Kris with her even if the player commands them to stop. Noelle deciding that if she's with Susie, staying in this town isn't so bad VS Noelle demanding that Kris help her cross the lake. I really like how those 2 scenes contrast

kinda sucks that deltarune JUST started to become a really fun game… wish it was like that for the rest of chapters. chapters 3 and 4 had some fun mechanics and minigames but it… it didn’t feel as fun and engaging as the EVERYTHING in chapter 5. (outside of my beloved climbing mechanic, i love you climbing i love you i love you). and like. chapters 1 and 2………… i mean. gameplay was there. it existed.
fun gameplay things about each chapter :
1 - Jevil. That’s it. That’s literally it.
2 - Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Giga Queen…? Was kinda fun?
3 - The bosses (eram included), the sword route and minigames between each board.
4 - The bosses, tp reduction, the piano sliding puzzles, and more importantly CLIMBING!!!!
5 - Literally everything. Everything. Literally everything. Like holy shit everythingggg literally everythinngggg FFFFUUUUCCCKKKKKKK *rips off shirt to reveal a “I love platforming and getting my ass kicked in video games” chest tattoo*

Susie is a fantastic character for a million reasons but another one is that most portrayals of eating disorders are a skinny fem girl worried she isn't pretty enough or less often some autistic twink that lives off of coffee. Susie very obviously has pica and likely heavy food insecurity from poverty/neglect and we see it often whenever she interacts with food. She is also an awesome baddass butch lesbian who learns the power of friendship. You don't see characters like that with eating disorders very often and it's great representation
