Here are some guys I met whilst getting groceries in central Florida. I see a lot of herons and ibises down here, but I don’t know what kind of birds these guys are(beyond the first one being some kind of crane, probably.) I dunno. They’re neat, and I thought you and your followers might like to see them maybe.

just “suggesting” a thing is conceptually passive. the maximum amount of assertiveness it can muster is passive-aggression.

lets imagine a scenario.

post: “Just got off work at x company. Lungs are kind of burning not sure why.”

Comment by tumblr user LovesToSkate2202: “Hey you should make sure you have adequate PPE, like a mask with either n95 or p100 filtration. I think at x company you’re being exposed to silica dust since thats been in the news and your current PPE is evidently not adequate.”

Verdict: Helpful, specific, direct.

scenario 2:

Verdict: Vague, passive-aggressive, overall unhelpful. They were sort of correct in the overall direction of their “advice,” yet they communicated zero important information.

Obviously nobody should be literally bullied into starting HRT and I’m really hoping that OP was being hyperbolic but i dont know this woman so i’m not holding my breath tbqh.

The part about paggro-sending this post to people is what i have a problem with. That’s a completely unreasonable way to interact with people and it should be discouraged.

Like lets think critically about the hypothetical scenario being discussed: a trans person is anxious about making an endo appointment. What that person most likely needs is support, reputable information, and sure, some gentle encouragement and reassurance as well. But moreover they need to be heard and understood by you. You can’t just push people forcefully into starting something even if you’re 100% sure it’s for their own good. You have to respect people’s autonomy and allow them to start things at their own pace or you can hurt people emotionally, damage your relationship, get cut off from their life, or delay their own process of personal growth because they now have a new source of trauma they have to work through before they can proceed.

In my experience one of the worst ways to interact with people who are questioning their gender or early in their transition and still figuring things out is inflexibility. Pushing someone to figure things out immediately, decide concretely and quickly who they are, how they are going to be labeled, how they are going to be named, what their identity is, what their ultimate medical transition goals are, et cetera- These are not necessary and often harmful.

There is no context where this is okay.

1) There are tye dye shirts that have darker blues or purples

2) it doesn’t have to be the exact same hue of blue to still communicate the proper values relative to one another.

Notice how characters like Yellow are basically 1-1 sprite accurate in color and in grayscale, but other characters like Blue most notably have lost the contrast in their values, which leads it become either desaturated and appearing grayish or blending in with the other colors of the shirt in the background.
