Not quite a worm's eye view, more a Dachshund's eye view

This former flour mill has been abandoned for may years. It has featured in many films and music videos. Even the Smiths made a music video which shows just how long it has been abandoned. I'd been waiting for a sufficiently grey day to photograph it to capture its bleakness.

Look up at many of the old warehouse style buildings around the former docklands of East London and you will often see old wall-mounted warehouse hoists. Whether they are all original or have simply been stuck there for decoration I cannot say. This one is in Mile End which is a bit "inland" from the former docks. However the building is on the canal which makes me think it is probably genuine.

This mural is by James Straffon. This area featured in the BBC documentary Wild London but I guess l missed the part with the wild elephants roaming the great plains around Turnpike Lane.

Craters! I'm not expert on brickwork but I do wonder if this brickwork should be in this state especially as it is for the viaduct through Limehouse in London which carries the Docklands Light Railway. Probably as well it is not "heavy".

But notice the line! This is the Greenwich Meridian Line which runs straight through this building in Blackwall, London. I'm guessing there are some flats here that are partly in the Western Hemisphere and partly in the Eastern Hemisphere. How cool!
