Day 2890, 13 May 2026
Former lock keeper's house at Salmon Lane Lock on the Regents Canal in Limehouse, London
I walk past this lock at least once a week. Unbelievably I cannot see I have ever taken a photograph of it, at least from this position. So here is one!

Gravestone in the churchyard of St Anne's church in Limehouse, London
Day 2883, 6 May 2026
Boat compression, Limehouse Basin, London
I may well have posted a similar photo before. However I have not broken my self-imposed rule of never post the same scene twice as last time it would have been different boats

Day 2847, 31 March 2026
Comfy?
I have noticed that somebody has recently spray painted the word "Comfy?" on the railway bridge above Commercial Road in Limehouse, London.
Of course it may have been on the bridge for years and I've just never noticed.
"Comfy?" does seem an odd word to paint on a bridge. Is it a threat? Is it profound advice along the lines of don't get comfortable as you will then never be happy because happiness is achieved by overcoming challenges at the end of our comfort zones.
Whatever I am also baffled as to how this was achieved. Presumably not by placing a ladder in the middle of a busy road.
Day 2843, 27 March 2026
A gravestone in Stepney Meeting Burial Ground, Limehouse, London
This non-conformist burial ground was created in 1779 and can be found in a quiet corner of Limehouse, London. This time of year the gravestones get surrounded by wild plants. I'm not going to attempt to identify the type!
