when are people gonna stop the hiro weed jokes and just start headcannoning him as neurodivergent?
he has multiple special interests, like fortune telling, cryptids, ancient civilizations, etc. in fact, he infodumps about them frequently in his ftes. he is paranoid and clearly has anxiety issues. he has a lot of issues socially, to the point he admits he hasn’t had a single friend until hope’s peak (and hiroko mentions his troubles with dating). hell, he even has issues with understanding things like sarcasm in the game and anime.

i’m not saying that someone can’t be neurodivergent and also partake in things like smoking weed of taking edibles. i just find it very telling that people take certain traits yasuhiro has and attributes them to weed (and other drugs at times) instead of neurodivergence when i know damn well they would go down the route of neurodivergent headcanons had those traits appeared in any other character… had yasuhiro had lighter skin and straight “anime boy” hair…

Sometimes I daydream about starting a Danganronpa focused youtube channel or stream or podcast but I know if I ever received even a crumb of hate I would probably set myself on fire
