The cast of Andi Mack had a virtual reunion today courtesy of Peyton Elizabeth Lee.  She brought in Asher Angel, Luke Mullen, Emily Skinner, Joshua Rush, and Lilan Bowden.

It’s so good to seem them together, even virtually.

Sure, everyone adored him. Sure, he talked to everyone. But he wasn’t close with anyone. We see Jonah interact with lots of kids but he never mentions any of his other friends or hangs out with anyone besides Amber. As far as we know, the Space Otters is his only activity outside of school and he hasn’t seemed to develop real friendships with any of his teammates. Just look at what happened at the pancake night. The show makes a joke that the only friend Gus could text was Jonah, but glances over the fact that the only reliable people Jonah could call on were Cyrus and Buffy.

And the thing is, Jonah never even knew how lonely he was. He even admits to Cyrus how he never knew how much he needed a friend like him. It’s just so great seeing him become close with the GHC, to have people he could confide in and support him and to have real relationships with rather than a surface level connection based on popularity.
