Anyone else watch Andi Mack when it was on Disney Channel? I remember thinking it was very mature for a Disney channel show, like at the time I watched it, it felt like an adult show to me (as someone who was only just allowed to start watching Disney Channel since my parents were strict on TV). You can't find all the episodes on streaming bc the guy who played the dad/grandpa turned out to be a predator, but all the episodes are on Internet Archive and it's really interesting to rewatch.
Sure it's a kid's show from 2017 and you can tell (some very Disney Channel jokes/moments and the cultural shit like the music and the way people talk about tech is very 2016 feeling). But the plot (as of 4 episodes in) is really good and I know they go on to tackle some pretty big topics so I'm actually really invested in this
it’s been seven years and one day since andi mack ended, and there still hasn’t been a show that has hit quite as hard like i really don’t understand what they were doing in that writers room, but whatever it was, it needs to be replicated.
