I really appreciate you mentioning white ppl reclaiming their culture and traditions as a form of allyship. While it's not comparable to what Indigenous ppl are going through, white supremacy and colonization hurt us too and I think that's why a lot of white people idolize Indignenous folks and even POC, because of the emptiness and yearning for a place to belong to that we don't have. Part of fighting for decolonization is to banish those thoughts by finding who we are again, only then can we truly begin to heal and have real reconciliation. We can't fight alongside our marginalized brothers and sisters as equals if a part of us still yearns to be them.
