i’ve stopped trash talking comic sans after learning the font is actually one of the only dyslexia-friendly fonts that come standard with most computers and i advocate for others doing the same

In the event that you would like to continue hating Comic Sans, other dyslexia-friendly alternatives include Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, Century Gothic and Trebuchet.

Random fact: Verdana is one of the few fonts which was specifically designed to be as easy to read as possible, even at smaller type sizes. It was designed this way for use on screen, but the same principles apply in print too. This is part of why some Universities use Verdana as their default font for documents.

I’ll take Comic Sans over Arial any day. 

Century Gothic and Trebuchet are both quite handsome typefaces.

I’m partial to Century Gothic as well. It’s serif, but not boring.

I default to arial for this reason, but I will now be defaulting to verdana or dyslexie. nice.

I don’t think I have dyslexia but that dyslexie font was the easiest fucking thing to read ever. Books should be written in that shit.

Beeline reader also has a built-in setting for changing the font to the OpenDyslexic font, so not only will it help with tracking via the gradient color changes, it can alter the font to help without a second app/extension. I use both together and it’s wonderful!

So my high school’s drama club did The Bad Seed, a play about a child who brutally murders people. Later, the girl who played the part of the murderer was cast as a gay character and she refused to play the part because it “went against her morals”

this is the literal definition of freedom of speech violation, the entire reason that was made was to prevent the monarchy (which now means the us government) from persecuting anyone who says anything negative about them. like we are literally being ruled under a dictatorship

the human race is not at the stage where it deserves to answer the question “why are people gay or trans” because the next question that ends up being asked is “how do we make them stop”

anyone else get the constant fear that there are unspoken social rules you dont know about (especially in new situations, like when i first started taking the bus, i was afraid i was doing it wrong lol) so youre just always on edge and kind of… watching how other people act so you can copy the “correct” thing to do

i feel like i should clarify, when i said i was afraid i was doing it wrong i didnt mean “am i paying the correct way? am i taking the right bus?” i mean “are there social rules to this thing? a specific place i should be expected to sit by social convention? should i be looking out the window? is not being on my phone weird? am i not behaving within the boundaries of whats considered ‘normal’ bus etiquette? can everyone tell im Abnormal and Weird?”
