I’m sure you’ll love it! About:
Name: Amara Davies
Pronouns & Gender: she/her, cis woman
Birthday: Feb 27, 1998 (27 years old)
Star sign: Pisces
Born in: San Diego, CA
Location: Ocean Crest Apartments
Time in Aurora Bay: Arrived March 2025
Sexuality: Open, straight-leaning
Relationship Status: Single
Occupation: Keeper at Aquatica Aquarium
Degree: BS Biology - San Diego State University
Face Claim: Lucy Boynton
General appearance: Blonde hair, blue eyes, 5’6
Personality: Somewhat introverted and maybe a little shy, though she can mask pretty well and come across with a lot more confidence than she might be feeling in a particular moment. She’s slow to warm with most people, but lights up once she’s comfortable. When she’s talking music or science, she seems to come right out of her shell.
Quirks: She’s often got at least one earbud in, listening to whatever artist or song or playlist suits her fancy. She loves a variety of music, but Radiohead, the Deftones, and Arctic Monkeys are her top three favorite bands. She fidgets a lot when she’s anxious.
“I want to be a marine biologist when I grow up!” Most people don’t get to actually live their childhood fantasy, but after graduating from San Diego State with a bachelor’s of science in marine biology Amara was ‘living the dream.’ And it kind of sucked. After a strenuous schedule doing conservation work for an affiliate of the university for very little pay, doing daily checks of sand quality and water content along the coast instead of actually studying the marine animals she loved, she decided to take a break from the work and get her resume updated on LinkedIn. And that’s what led her to Aurora Bay’s Aquatica Aquarium. Working at an aquarium had never been part of the dream, but it seemed like a nice break from cold, wet mornings trawling sand–and at least she’d get to actually see and work with animals every day. Amara wasn’t exactly a social butterfly, so the idea of packing up and moving to a new town full of strangers was daunting to say the least. She spent the first month simply getting acquainted with her new job, but now it was time to actually get out and see the town, maybe meet some people along the way. @aurorabayaesthetic
